Now this is why I said "I don't know". Mind you this venue is just under an hour away and I already purchased my ticket online..

Ten days ago I asked my brother if he had any plans for June 1st because I'd like to go to a Stamp Show in Springfield. He said "No and let me write it down so I don't schedule something else in." BigGrin Well I know my brother so I called him last Monday to reconfirm the date "Yup I've got it written down and Jodie (his wife) will be out of town so she can't sign me up for anything." BigGrin BigGrin By now I'm almost allowing myself to get excited - almost. I don't do anything unless I can bring my mom with me because one way or another my brother always bails when he says he'll come stay with her. So it's 10:30 last night and I haven't heard from him on what time he was planning to be here this morning so I called him. My 11 yr old nephew answers the phone and when I asked him what was going on he proceeded to tell me that "he and his father (my brother) were packing their gear into the van to leave first thing in the morning to go camping for the weekend - just the two of them since Mama is away" Glare Cursing Angry Sad

He bailed on me again.

Sorry that happened to you! Sounds like you've got quite the flaker brother. JERK! He obviously doesn't value your feelings or time.

Ohhh, I'm so sorry to hear this COB!

My advice to you is to find a sitter for her for future plans.

My mom took care of my gramma during her Alzheimer years and my mom's sister wasn't very dependable either for the rare times when mom needed a break to go visit my siblings who all live out of town.

My mom didn't go to craft shows or anything like that...just needed some back up every so often for family. And it was always a struggle. So I feel for you.

So try and find a sit in person or nurse that maybe can help you out. Costs money, I know...Which isn't fair either!

Next time tell him he can either cover or provide a caregiver in his place. I am sorry that happened.

Just waiting for one set of ATC's and they are expected Monday.

I have them all sorted out so I'll just need to add this last one and get them mailed.

i love this lady's blog. I have it e mailed to me and it is just so chocked full of ideas!!!

COB i agree with Kelly if he can not commit to helping with his time then he needs to help pay for his time. !!! I know that is not always easy to get across to family but I do know some friends of mine that is what they have done. The split the time up and if they can not make it for their scheduled time they have to pay for the caregiver to come. So maybe if you strongly suggest this to him he will get the message. sorry you had to miss your fun.Mad Cursing Mad Cursing Mad Cursing

Yes that cabinet is so cool! I was going to suggest that we do that also. I'd need some very specific instructions though...

Got mine and can't get over how clever they ALL are! What a talented group! I can see how they can become addicting since the possibilities are endless.

Just a reminder that the "glass" on mine have a plastic film on it, once you remove it they look much better.

Thanks Jean for a fun, drama-free swap and opening my eyes to something I've never done before. BigGrin

As an ATC virgin I'm wondering, other than using them on a card or LO, what do you guys do with them?

As it should be considering the distance! LOL

Ya know they'd be a great way to test various techniques/products too. Like TH does w/ the tags only smaller and instead of putting instructions on the back they could be cataloged on pages w/in the binder. Hmmm.. I think I just came up with a project for myOCDself LOL LOL
