I was very happy to hear that we can now link our Gypsy to CCR. I am disappointed that PC has now discontinued the Gypsy.

I personally feel that other than the E & E2, the Gypsy was the best device / machine that PC ever designed. I have used my Gypsy every time I cut, since I purchased it at the HSN Launch.

I am curious who owns, has owned and uses their Gypsy.

Please respond:

Yes, I own a Gypsy and use it
Yes, I own a Gypsy but don't use it
No, I don't own a Gypsy

Thank you, I really want to see how many are currently using their Gypsy.

I have a Gypsy and used it exclusively, until my E2 started working well with CCR. Now that I can link the carts on it to CCR, I'll use it less. Although I got my G to work and its currently hooked up to my computer for the update, I'm going to have it repaired. The screen is going out. I thought it was out completely, but it worked tonight.

Yes I own a gypsy and use it for everything.

Not sure I could cut without it. Love being able to take it with me and not worry about having to have an internet connection.

I own a gypsy and use it exclusively with my mini. I'm thrilled that we can now get the things repaired by PC. The prices seem about the same as repairing other electrical devices, so I'm happy about that. Especially when it does include shipping both ways.

Although I don't use CCR, if it ever became a desktop non-internet program, I would link the gypsy to CCR and probably use it exclusively!

Thanks for asking.

Mary

Yes, I have one and Use it almost exclusively.

I seriously have trouble cutting without it. I'm excited for the linking G with CCR, but I don't use CCR that much. I LOVE MY GYPSY.

I have a Gypsy and use it. Sometimes I use CCR, but it depends on if I get those nasty server issues. I love Gypsy as I can sit an design while sitting with the hubby. Otherwise I'm hiding in my craft space....which irritates him if I do it too often.

I have a gypsy...but only use it to cut off the carts that I got for free on it(8 carts total plus a fathers day card image)

I refuse to link my carts so I will never use it full time...DS is my main stay.

(Edited to add)

I have never used CCR and won't unless they offer it as a stand alone program. Being tied to the internet doesn't work for me for many reasons.

Yes, I have a Gypsy and use it all the time. My power plug is broken and I had to cut without it. Took me a while to even remember how to load the mat without it. Mine will definitely be making the trip to the Gypsy hospital!

yes, I have a gypsy and use it all the time- except to cut with "simple cards". For that cartridge I journeyed into CCR, I survived- but would have much preferred my Gypsy, which would have allowed me to design while waiting at the orthodontist, the school pick up line and ball practices and then cut at home!!

I hope the next big announcement is a new, awesome gypsy device!!

I have a Gypsy and only use it to cut. I have no desire to use CCR. I bring my Gypsy everywhere. I can use it at work and while waiting for my son. I didn't really use my Cricuts before I got my Gypsy. I've had it since launch and glad now I can get it repaired if I ever need too.

I have a gypsy and I use it all the time. I started with DS and loved it but I love the portability of the G. It is fantastic for crops so I don't have to drag all my carts along.

I've tried CCR but really don't like the functionality and set up of it. I don't want to be online while designing.

Yes I own a gypsy and use it. I have had it about 5 years now and didn't use it to its full potential. Basically I used it at crops so I didn't have to lug all my carts. SInce I have found youtube and all the scrapbooking and paper creating on there I have learned to use it more to its potential and one person in particular really helped me and its shelia from she's a sassy lady. I hope they come out with a new and improved gypsy. Robin
