My Imagine, when connected through the USB on my Dell laptop continually makes the device connected sound. It's very annoying. I use to connect my Imagine to my Asus Netbook(which recently diedCrying.

What is causing this ?

It depends on what kind of sound you are getting. When the driver loads on my HP computer I get a notification sound, but it is not continuous. It just does it when I connect whatever device I am using. If it is continuos that might be something else and may need further investigation. If this is a new computer it might be worth calling to see if it is not another problem...unless you are having an issue connecting you device. As far as disabling it, you would have to go int you contorl panel and look for the sound notifications and tell the computer not to play the sound. Unfortunately every computer is different and without looking at it I'm not much help and I'm not familar with Windows8 if that is what is running. Start by looking under "sound" and see if you can find it...otherwise call your manufacturer they should be able to tell you.

I'm running Windows 7 and it's the sound the computer makes when you plug something into it, but this does it continually as if I'm unplugging and plugging back in and only with the Imagine.
