i am working on this in my brain.. i have actual gotten things at the together stage and now it needs the get it together stage..i hope to have a crafty weekend.. the weather is suppose to rain so that means no yard work.. YEA my bones need a break.. and that means DH painting the upstairs rooms.. so i can have some fun.. He does the ceilings and then I do the walls works well.. until i get close to his ceilings.. so he trims a wide strip told him last time if he was going to trim that far down he could just finish painting the walls.. LOL LOL

as they say if your marriage can survive a remodel it can survive anything ... that also includes repainting rooms.. he would paint everything white and not have anything on walls to decorate at all..

As COB is my partner, I'm still collecting patriotic ideas (and having fun doing so!)

I am looking forward to starting the actual crafting too for this swap!

I'm hoping to get some crafting done this weekend. I've got 5 projects left BUT.. I've got a few ideas so I'm hoping to get 2 more finished this weekend. It's been in the 90's here and the heat is so not motivating me lol

To answer your questions, my room is a soft light green. I have a cuttlebug and my favorite stamps are Magnolia Tilda's, Saturated Canary, and pretty much any nice floral/nature that can be colored.

You've mentioned that your making jewelry, I assume with the beads you've been buying. Are there any particular type of beads that you use?? I know how you feel, I played with beads for a while and couldn't resist buying all the different ones. I made a lot of intricate xmas ornaments and a few woven necklaces.

JCI ~ Big waves to my partner Lana....any mother who can tend to kids and keep up with all the crafting she does, deserves an AWESOME box of goodies and I hope I can do that for her !! BigGrin

I got started on a few things and hope I can finish in time...sometimes I take on too many swaps at the same time and end up burning the midnight oil ~ Sleep

WOW Jean, you are on a roll, when you're done, do you want to help me? hehe, kidding! Unfortunately for myself, I keep jumping between projects, which I never do because they never get done, not to mention I keep changing everything. I wish I wasn't so picky. I will be devoting my entire weekend to completing as many projects as I possibly can. My only break is a trip to HL. Hubby is taking care of the house and the boys for me, which means by Sunday night it will look like a tornado went through my house... still not sure if this is a good thing or a bad one, we'll have to see!

Penny I have no particular type of beads that I buy. I like glass, crystals and reasonably priced beads. I sometimes like to buy metal spacer beads and I LOVE charms. Any kind. Wow I wouldn't have the patience for woven necklaces. I just have very simple tastes nothing too bold.

I was done with DayCare 30 mins. early today so I drove uptown to meet DH for dinner and then of course I hit the craft stores before coming home.

I about fainted when I walked into HL to find they have all kinds of FALL decor out on display!

Summer stuff is about gone.... my gosh!

On a good note, I think I found some good items tonight for this swap and other swap I'm working on.

LOL - Terri - I thought my dh was the only one who thinks plain white walls would be the way to go. Unless I want white (or eggshell type white - he thinks that is a lot of color), I do the painting. LOL LOL LOL

Still progressing on projects - Hope you are having a great week, Ali!

JCI! Sorry I am just checking in! Waves to my partner!, Barb!!! I hope everyone is having a good Monday! I am ready for the pace around here to slow down a little. DH and DS spent last week camping with Boy Scouts in the Smokies. I hoped to have time to craft but ended up working all but 2 nights they were gone so I took DD and my niece to a local hotel for the night to swim and chill. We had a great Girls Night Out! No crafting done, but I had gotten started on some items for Barb before they left. So looking forward to a week of island fun in Bonaire!!!!! Counting down the days!

Hugs, LanaBigGrin BigGrin

Waving to my partnerBigGrin

My DH is the other way...loves color. It was interesting with building the house with all the final details. Some of the choices I made regarding colors he wasn't sure about at first..but loves it now..LOL

We have the final inspection tomorrow..hopefully everything goes well and we can move in soon. We'll be picking out exterior paint on Monday.

Have a great week,
Ali

Ali - hope your inspection goes well! We just had one from replacing our roof. Things got missed and they did the inspection 1.5 years after roof had been replaced. It went just fine.

Good luck with moving and color choices - picking colors is always fun!

Been working on an item for this off and on today but I'm pretty sure I just screwed it up. I'll probably end up painting it all black and saving it for a Halloween prop.. Unsure Tongue LOL Back to the drawing board!

I ran across this, this afternoon and thought it would be cool to share. Be great for summer parties with kids or for all the teetotalers over in the bottle swap.. LOL Flapper LOL

I love that 4th of july drink idea COB!

She has some cute recipes for kids. I keep thinking that this summer the girls are old enough to have an interest in experimenting with some cute ideas such as that....I subscribed to her blog so I won't forget about her! lol

Funny you 2 mention that caramel popcorn as I've been hungry for it lately! We bought some at the Amish Market Memorial Day outing but it is never as good as my recipe!
