Caramel Popcorn

15 cups popped popcorn
1 c. brown sugar, packed
½ c. butter
¼ c. light corn syrup
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda

Place popped popcorn in a large baking pan.
(I use a Wilton sheet cake pan)

Mix brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt
into medium-sized saucepan. Cook and stir
over medium heat until it gets bubbled around
the edge. Cook 5 more minutes, stirring constantly,
then remove from heat. Then stir in baking soda until
foaming (white and creamy looking). Pour mixture
over the popcorn, stirring to coat evenly. Bake 1 hour
in a 200 degree oven, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool before storing in
ziploc bags or tightly sealed containers.

Gwynne - thanks for the recipe!

Ali - glad you can start moving in! how exciting BigGrin

Popcorn - great snack -my favorite is cooking on the stove top (our air poppers have never lasted) and using butter, garlic and Parmesan to season

I still have to add the finishing touches to one item and then make the last item. I have everything I need but not sure about the size or style for it.BigGrin

Will probably mail the last week of June.

I am experimenting with some new ideas I learned at the stamp show. I am checking out all the vendor sites for their tuorials, etc.

Checking. So excited Maria. I know everything will be wonderful....looking forward to it. I on the other hand, am not a speed demon. I have been working on a couple other swaps and started on this one. I will have time to work on this more fully starting next week.

Here are some sites that I liked from some of the vendors at the stamp show last weekend.

http://kittiekraft.typepad.com/kittiekraft/
This is a great site if you do a lot of stamping and/or make cards. This has lots of tutorials listed on the right hand side. The first one I think is Beach scene and it is pretty cool how she does the card.
The stamp sets come from Rubbernecker which I LOVE!!!!! I have a few of the Kitty Kraft setsBigGrin

This place has lots of "different" stampsBigGrin Steampunk and some weird ones!!!! To me anywayBigGrin
www.lost-coast-designs.com

This one has a few neat videos
www.stampsbyjudith.com

This site has some nice stamps and also dies to go with some of them. These are stamps that you use with Marvey Brush markers. Cool!!!! I love how they come out. Every time you use them, they come out different. I bought some kitty stamps and some leaves.
www.localkingrubberstamp.com

last one has a great video on using Mica Gloss metallic. Love what she does with them!!!!
www.judikins.com

It's supposed to be a rainy weekend so maybe you'll get a chance to check some of these out.

You guys are killin' me here!

Slow down! lol

I'm suppose to start working on a config. tray for Kelley in other swap but I just may have to do this swap first to catch up with the rest of you!

And just to send out a tease to my partner, COB...

Just want to thank you for being my partner.....I've managed to stock up my stash to overflowing in my "4th of July/Patriotic" storage tote! You are breaking me girl! But I'm lovin' it! I think I can also blame my lack of self control on the fact that the color RED is included in this patriotic themed stuff!

I'm not sure what all I'm going to create for COB...but I can promise it will be chocked full of patriotic themed items, per her desire!

Now to get busy and create!

Just finished Robin's chunky charm swap & partner swap with Beanie Mom.. So, now one other to do, then i can devote my efforts to this one...

Suddenly, I'm craving popcorn.. wonder why..

That recipe sounds delicious..

I never liked air popped corn.. love the old fashion stove top .. I sprinkle mine with a Mexican Seasoning called Tajin.. it's a little salty, got some Mexican spices, and it's a little citrus tasting too.. like Salt & vinegar..

My downfall is ice cream... i absolutely love it..

Shout out to Terri.. I am at ground zero on projects Cursing Cursing .. but hopefully will get myself in gear pretty soon!

Jean P: Thank you for sharing your rubber stamp sites. I went to a Rubber Stamp convention in March.. and so different from scrapbook expos.. lots of mixed media , and those ever popular ATC's.. Stamper's Anonymous always comes out.. sometimes Tim Holtz joins them.. he usually is there in November ..and they bring almost all of TH's inventory out..

Thanks for the link to the steampunk ones.. i love the thinking outside of the box... it's like the stamps are collages of steampunk, classical, and cute all smashed together..

I'm sure I'll like everything but please don't mail, I'm no way close to that stage
My mind is still spinning with ideas and I can't seem to sit down and accomplish anything. Plus I work 54 hours a week and don't have a lot of free time.
