Barb, I am going to sit out a few months starting with August. With everything that has happened in the past few months I need to sit back and evaluate some things. I am making cards for Operation Write Home, hoping to repay the Blessings we have received, and that takes up some time.
I will still be on the board from time to time, but do not know when.

In the meantime, thank you for the opportunity to create and share my cards with you wonderful ladies.

Oh Denise, we shall miss you terribly, but I understand about being overwhelmed at times. Please check in with us sometimes and come back as soon as you are able. We always love your cards...Speaking of which I received your batch for June today and they are gorgeous as ever !

I received cards today from DeniseE, KaliCarpenter & her Mom, and our newest member Sara Drone.

I will try to get the pictures up tonight if I can, but it may be tomorrow. I have a few business committments to take care of this evening and a dentist appt in the morning, so I cannot stay up real late.

All the cards are super nice ladies !! THANK YOU !!

Gotta run for now ~ Barb Love

Hi Ladies - I was going to post pix tonight, but after I got home from the dentist today, I took a nasty fall up the stairs ( yes...I said UP the stairs) - I have done this before, as I have trouble with my foot "dropping" and I get tripped and fall forward. Anyway, I twisted my neck and back and I have a bad headache, and I banged up my right leg and left hand and elbow, and I hurt everywhere....so I have to call it an early night and get some Ibuprofen in me...and get in a tub of hot water.

I hope to be able to post for you tomorrow. I also hope I get everyone's cards in by THursday so I can sort them and mail back out to you all on Saturday or Sunday....I am not doing anything special for July 4th . Actually working a normal schedule Friday.

Have a great evening everyone !

Sweetest Barbara, So sorry to hear about your fall, however, grateful you didn't brake anything! I fell last week mainly on my left side and landed hard on my left knee (have had both knees replaced), and my left hand hard, hard, hard. Sprained my left hand pretty bad but thankfully didn't break it.

My June cards are postal. More details in a PM to you. With your permission I would like to sign up for Aug., Sept., and Oct. I've ordered a really cute stamp set for the August. Cards. August sounds like loads of fun.

FYI: my DH had his first surgery in his 62 years of life yesterday. Back surgery where they had to do work through his abdomen and then his back. His Dr. was very pleased with how everything went and my DH is recovering nicely. Although he is stubborn about taking pain meds! Nursing him @ home is going to be soooo much fun. Lol. He should be coming home tomorrow.

Pray you are healing Barbara and everyone has a safe, fun, and sparkling 4th with friends and family!!!

With all the health problems this is turning into a bad month. I was urged by my doctor to go to the hospital yesterday...and they want to amputate my left leg below the knee.Crying

I've had diabetes for about 20 years and have had multiple problems with my left foot. Now there
is a wound that will not heal and keeps getting infected and the doctors are afraid the infection will spread to other parts of my body. They've been talking about amputation for two years, but now they're not giving me many choices. I'm trying to talk them into letting me go home and get all my ducks in a row (and make cards for all the swaps I'm involved in). I knew that it would come to this, but I'm having major trouble adjusting.

I'd appreciate your prayers.

Best wishes and lots of prayers for Judy and Carol ... may you find healing and comfort. I am so sorry to hear of these serious problems. My little bruises and bumps are nothing. The toughest part of it is being stiff in my neck and lower back.

Here are some more pictures of cards that have come in. I apologize for being so slow with it...I will do a couple of them at a time so I won't get confused as to who made each one Flapper Blushing

Looks like it will be a few more days before mailing...hope that is okay with everyone ~

HAPPY 4th of JULY !!! Woot Wub

The first two cards are from Kali Carpenter and her Mom - The Baby card is so pretty with the little Duckies and layers of embossed papers, edging and even a tiny little banner on a string ! So cute !!
The "Match" card is a very clever idea...I have never seen another one like this, using real matches on the front and the Cricut cut letters inside with the gold glitter for a "perfect match"...this one could be a wedding or anniversary card for sure ! THanks ladies !!

Next we have a really lovely Wedding card from Denise - Very pretty design and Cricut cuts with some nice "bling" sparkles and ribbon accents...

Then a pretty colorful SUmmer Birthday card from new member Sara Drone. Lovely Aqua cardstock with nicely stamped medallion and Tulip cardfront that has been hand colored ( pencils I think ) in pretty colors and the die cut butterflies mounted with 3-d tape/dots. Just beautiful !

Thanks to these 2 ladies for sending their pretty submissions Love

Next we have a really super different and adorable card from Judy (yenpeso) I was so surprised when I opened these cards ! What a great idea ! It is a Cricut cut of a Mason Jar "filled" with butterflies and plants and a metal embossed "jar lid" ! I was wondering if you stamped the background paper with the wording, or if the paper was already printed that way. The paper adds so much to the assembled design, and I love the "Flutter By " stamp inside too...THanks for a lovely submission ( I want about 100 of these !) Flapper LOL

Last one for today, Julie sent us some adorable Baby cards that are a little larger than A2 so she has included the envelopes with them. WHile the basic design is the same for the cards, each one is a little bit different in colors, and some shapes. I love the one with the elephant on it ! Inside is a stamped image of Diaper pins with B-A-B-Y on it too... so cute. Have you ever noticed how we still use "DIAPER PINS" for baby decorative items, when really nobody uses cloth diapers and pins anymore ? Some things just seem to never disappear, like the NURSES CAPS that none of us nurses wear anymore...but if you look for embellishments for anything to do with nurses, there are the caps ! Wub Personally, I miss wearing mine and wearing whites...but I am a dinosaur ! Woot Razz

More cards are on the way, so I will wait for them before mailing next week.

HAPPY 4th of JULY and GOD BLESS AMERICA !! Wub Woot

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone had a terrific holiday! Ours was a busy one, and I had my wits nd keeping my Niko quiet. He tried to do a back dive/flip at swim camp and came down head first on the board. A concussion later. Try and keep a 7 year old quiet Scared ThumbDown Unsure

Barb, I hope that your pain has eased up. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I took pics of my cards. I hand painted the animals etc.. Seeing I checked and they are still pokey joeing their way to you, I thought I would post the pics for you. I hope that's OK. It will save you time. BigGrin

Take care everyone and have a safe an wonderful July! See you in August!

I will be posting my cards later tonight or tomorrow. I am sure the July 4th holiday is not helping the mail to arrive any sooner, so we will be patient this week for the few more to come in.

Happy SUnday everyone !

Happy Monday everyone ! I just love Mondays Flapper BigGrin really I do - ever since I got old and developed all this dementia, it feels like Monday is a holiday !! LOL

So.... here are a couple of pix of what I made this month for the swap. It is a Bridal Shower card along with a matching tag that you can use on the gift. I am leaving the inside mat as a white blank so that you can write or stamp on it whatever you wish. The card and tag base was made from the "Wrap It Up" cartridge and the front "For the Bride" was cut using the Wild Cards cartridge. I lined the Bride cut-out with vellum and then used some ribbons, tiny pearls, prima flowers, and Diamond stickles on the front.
The back of the tag is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder from the "Gift boxes" die set.

Okay - so I have not been to the PO yet today but I hear there are some goodies in the box to pick up. Will try to get there after work.

Blessings to you all !

Received some cutie Baby Girl cards yesterday from Carol Klink .... I really like the way she folded them and added a ribbon tie in the front ! Delightful colors of pinks and cute little baby clothing cut inside ! THANKS CAROL !!

I think we are still waiting for one more shipment of cards to come in before I can sort and re-mail.
I was hoping they would be here by now, but there were none at the PO today.

Hi Everyone - Well, Paula's cards finally arrived today at the PO Box. She mailed them on 7/2 and because of the July 4th holiday, expected delivery date (on the label) was 7/7 ... PRIORITY MAIL !! That is just horrible service !! This is 7/11 so they are 4 days late getting here. The post office should refund her money for the postage.
See, I have been telling you all that it is a waste of money to use Priority Mail for anything under 16 ounces. ... kind of proves my point. First class mail up and down the East Coast is usually fast so this was really bad service.

Anyhooooooo.... I will shuffle up the cards and get them ready to go back to you tomorrow. Gotta work late tonight Love

Remember to post on the new thread so I will not forget to put you down for the August cards....
Thanks to all !
