I just bought a new toy:- the Cricut Mini. Yeh, I know, I have all of the other machines, so why do I need a Cricut Mini??? BigGrin

Well, to add to my Cricut family, that's why! BigGrin But the real reason is so I can play in CCR. I've been scared, up to this point, of hooking up ANY of my machines to CCR, because of the scary stories I've been reading about. Sooooo, seeing as the Cricut Mini was created especially to play nice w/ CCR, it is now enroute to its new forever home.

Which brings me to this point:- tracking via FedEx

Can anyone (especially at PC) explain to me, please, why any of my orders go this route:-

Orem, Utah to Memphis TN, to WINNIPEG, Canada???

I live on the WEST COAST of British Columbia, Canada. Why do my parcels take a vacation EAST to Winnipeg, before flying back to the West Coast??

Do any of you living on the WEST COAST of Canada or even the USA have this same thing happen to you? I just don't u/stand why it would go that route. Huh

It is most likely because one of the big FedEx hubs is located in Memphis.

I was actually wondering about the "Winnipeg" stopover. But I found out that there's a hub there, too. BigGrin So it all makes sense, now. Thanks! Smile

Well, it finally arrived today! ThumpUp

However, it must've been partying hearty and/or had a really rough ride because, when I opened it up, the styrofoam was not on the blade housing holder, and the screw for that was flopping around on the bottom plate of the Mini. ThumbDown

I read a prev. message where the same thing happened to someone else and they had to send it back, because it was cutting wonky.

I sure hope, when I hook it up, that it will be alright. I'll keep you informed. Smile

i am the I individual who had the problem with their Mini. I think your and my Mini went to the same party. Mine did not fair so well. I sent it back last Friday and am awaiting its return. I hope yours cuts a lot better than mine did, I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I hope the styrofoam is in it proper place and it cuts beautifully when I get it. Let me know how yours cuts. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

How did your mini fare, LadyBug? Is it alive and well?

Those machines must take a beating in transit to knock the styrofoam off the blade housing.Confused

I did break down and buy a mini but from Joanns here. The interesting thing is its in a box that has a mini upc sticker put over an empty mini box upc. Also the mat and all is in a package marked repurposed package. So to do the rebate I have to peel off the sticker and put a note with it according to CS to get my rebate. I guess they must have either made alot of boxes thinking more stores would use the emptys but didn't or just plain made too many. Also because the mat is too big for the box and the cardboard holding the mini in the box my mat wass bent up and I had to email a pic of the mat into CS but have heard back as to when I will get a new one to use. I guess I'll have to call and ask. BJR.

Sorry, but I don't quite u/stand what you mean by that. (highlighted area)

Mine was in a Cricut Mini box. Then, because it was shipped to me, it was in a brown box but it had Cricut Mini written all over it. There was a UPC sticker on both boxes. I have nooooo clue which sticker to use for the rebate. Huh

My mat was curved around the Mini. Is that what you mean by "bent up"? I bought 2 more sets of mats and they were placed inside the box, just laying across the Mini. No idea why they couldn't have done that w/ the mat that came w/ the machine, to prevent it from curling like that. Huh

But, seeing as I can't even load CCR, I'll be calling CS about all of my issues tomorrow.

I do hope that your mini issues can be resolved with a phone call to CSSad . It really sucks that you can't play with your new toy.

My box has a upc sticker with the Cricut mini upc over- the upc on the box that says it is a cricut empty box-(the ones used for demo/display in the many stores). In otherwards a upc sticker over another upc. I hope It explains it better. BJR.

I just got off the phone w/ one of sweetest gals at PC --- Kelsey!! She helped me hook up my new Cricut Mini to CCR, which took close to an HOUR of her time!!!! I am sooooo grateful!!! Smile

ProvoCraft definitely has a gem amongst them!! ThumpUp

Kelsey went above and beyond the call of customer service. She was patient, understanding, extremely knowledgeable and a delight to deal with! BigGrin

She took complete control of my machine. It was awesome, as well as mesmerizing, watching what she was doing on it. It is wonderful to know that PC has staff that has such exemplary customer service and skill.

I couldn't thank her enough. Because of her, I can now play w/ my new Cricut Mini and CCR. BigGrin

The test cut turned out great. The fact that the styrofoam and screw being on the Mini floor didn't seem to damage anything. She does have it on record, tho, just in case there are prob's down the road. Let's hope and pray that there won't be. BigGrin

Yeh, I was pretty pleased about that.

When you did the test cut of the thank you card, what exactly happened?

Did you get your new machine, yet?

The Thank You did not cut properly. Parts of the letters were thick and the rest of the letter was thin. All of the letters were kind of wonky. The "a" looked really weird. It did not look like an "a". The letters did not come out looking like the blocked letters they were supposed to look like. The right side of the card did not align properly. It was like where it started the cut and ended the cut it did not match. It was off a bit. Did your cut out Thank You letters come out perfectly?

No, I have not received my Mini yet. I should have it Thursday. I can hardly wait.
