Thanks Bingolady for the great sketches, I will get them printed out and hope to get started on them soon. I love how you drew the edges so you can mat your papers as that makes a card stand out so wellBigGrin

Very nice samples. Love all the papers and colors n #1 this looks like a fun sketch to work with. #2 very nice love all the brads.

Sorry I was not around today, but I had something very exciting happen that I could not share earlier in the day.

NATE is home on leave!!!!! My grandson that is in the Navy and just got back from his submarine deployment came home on leave today and surprised his wife and little Miss Emma. Emma was a bit shy at first but you could see in her eyes how very happy she was to see her Daddy. We are keeping her tonight so Mommy & Daddy can spend sometime togetherBigGrin BigGrin LOL . They will be staying here while he is home so not sure how much crafting and card making I will get done

BingoLady,
Thanks for Hosting this week while not feeling so hot! Like the sketches, especially #1 with all the matting, I'm thinking Christmas card on this one! Is the Christmas card for the Extra Credit?
#1 - Like the polka dot paper and all the matting and layering, Very colorful and fun card.
#2 - Like the angled cuts of this sketch and your interpetation really helps them pop, like how you added the Brads and the nice red color you picked for the cuts. Nice!

NanaDonna,
What a nice surprise for everyone, enjoy his visit and lots of fun times while he is here.Smile

DeeScraps,
Thanks for the nice pastel colors for our Ad Color Challenge this week.

Sorry no Cricut on this one! Sort of put it together quickly, wanted to finish it before I left for my DGSs baseball game.

My Sketch Card #3 in the Ad Colors:

Lg. Butterfly -From my Butterfly stash, not sure where it came from
Embossing - Cuttlebug "Leafy Branches" folder
Small Butterflies - Are negative cuts from the center border
Center Border - Martha Stewart "Butterfly" Border Punch
Tag - Spellbinders "Trio Tag" set
Sentiment - Michael's stamp and I used TSUKINEK Versa Magic Dew Drops in "Torquoise Gem" chalk ink.
Torquoise sheer ribbon at top, added pearls.

Turtlebug - beautiful card, I love the soft colors and all those butterflies. I believe your comment about some of God's most beautiful gifts to us

WOW sure is hard to get in my craft room with a 2 year old running aroundHuh plus my grandson and his wife here, BUT I sure am enjoying the visit and getting to spend so much time with him. Last night our other granddaughter came over for dinner so she could see Nate who is much much more like a bother to her than a cousin. So I was in the kitchen cooking as usual LOL BigGrin Tonight I get a break from cooking because we are going out to dinner.BigGrin Tongue ThumpUp

I did get in my room for just a little while yesterday and got the paper picked out and some of the pieces done for sketch 2 so hopefully I can get in there today to get it put together

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been away all week for work and now with the long weekend I am packing to leave early tomorrow morning to open our cottage (it is closed all winter).

BingoLady - Thanks so much for hosting at the last minute and despite not feeling well. These are wonderful sketches and I do want to play along!

Dee - Thanks for the great ad colours!

I am just wondering if we want to keep this week's challenge going for another week so that more people can join in?

I will be away until Monday night so I'll check-in when I get back.

Enjoy the weekend!

Hi Gisele,
I posted last week that I will be happy to Host this coming Wednesday, May 22nd to May 28th. And, Lisa volunteered for May 29th to June 4th.

Enjoy your time at the cottage, bet it is as pretty there as your pictures you shared of your home with all the snow!Smile

My Sketch Card #1:
DAD - Beyond Birthdays cartridge which I made using CCR. I wanted the"DAD" vertically and could only find it horizontal. I then inked the cut with Versa stamping ink in "Jumbo Java".
Embossing - CB "Clockworks" folder
Ribbon - Celebrate It brand from Michael's. It is kind of a mesh-like stiff material.
All the other squares and matting are scraps. The three assorted brown cardstock papers are all a diffrent texture (hard to see). Added a leaf Brad for embellishment.

Hi ladies...hoping you didn't think I bailed on this weekLOL

I got 2 cards in my head but having a hard time on the third and finding time is the real challenge this week. I gotta clear off my scrap area (kitchen table) and get my house ready for my mom to stay for a couple weeks (having hip surgery)...almost got it done yesterday but didn't leave me any time for scrapping.

Well finally it is a bit quiet around here, but too late for me to go in my craft room. Instead I am enjoying a glass of wineFlapper Love .
Hope to get sketch #3 put together and completed tomorrow, then will try and get #1 done also but it might be kind of rough to do ad know my son will come into town.

I feel bad that everyone has been so busy this week and both Gisele and Dee are out of town so not many have been able to play.
To make it better for Bingolady and give more people a chance to make some cards it would be OK with me to extend this challenge an extra week. With Bingolady stepping up to host when she was not feeling well, I think it would be a good idea to do this to give others time to participate and be appreciative of Bingolady's sketches and stepping up to host.

I know Turtlebug has said she would host starting May 22nd and LisaW the week after, but if it is OK maybe be can bump up that schedule.
I know I would appreciate that extra week and so would Dee and Gisele.
So what does everyone think????? I would love to see more people be able to use Bingolady's sketches that she created.

Turtlebug - #2 I love it great Christmas card, that is a perfect sketch for a Christmas card. I wish I would have thought of that.Huh #1 Your dad card is awesome, I love the color combination and am so glad you are giving CCR a try. The more you use it the better you will get. Great job on the matting all the way around even the base layer, it just really sets a card off.

SANDY - can't wait to have you join us. Believe me it is addicting and there is no better way to build up your card stash and be inspired.

Bingolady - love that vase on #3 it is one of my favorites from Walk in my Garden. Very well done in the ad colors, has a southwest feel to it.

Hi Everyone,
I'm all for extending BingoLady's Host week for another week. I know sometimes we can't find the time to do all the sketches in one week. It is hard to try to catch up once you get behind, especially if there is a sketch that really caught your eye and you would LOVE to make into a card. SO let's go for it!!
I posted a message for anyone that would like to join this challenge and already have a couple of Ladies that are interested in joining us and this will give them a feel as to how this challenge works.

So far these are the Ladies wanting to extend this week:
NanaDonna, DeeScraps, Gisele and TurtleBug
THANKS!

SandyO and Hannah - would love to have you both join the fun we have have here, not to mention the inspiration you get.

There are no real rules, the sketches are posted to get your mojo going and for inspiration. You can flip, turn, rotate the sketches whatever you need to do to get those creative juices flowing. You do not have to make all three, you can make one two 3 of the same sketch it is all up to you.

The colors are just added for extra inspiration and you do not have to use them, however they do help sometimes in picking out your color scheme of your card.

I joined this challenge several years ago and I love playing along and have sure built up my card stash by doing this challenge.

As long as it is OK with our hostess Bingolady this week lets extend this weeks challenge to run through May 21st to give people more time to play along.
