If it makes your partner happy then a jar it is. I am very open to everyone's interpretation. When I think of jar it makes me think of those altered fairies in a jar or something like jean's silas in an upside down jar like a snow globe of sorts. BigGrin

I would like to join.

1) Theme: Dragons, not fire breathing people killing dragons. More along the line of Puff The Magic Dragon ( to go with my tat) lol, Faries (whimsical) or Halloween. I love things with Wings.

2) Fav color is green but as long as it's not neon I'm fine with almost any color.

3) I want you to have fun so do something you're comfortable doing or try something new. Have fun with this project!

1. Theme/Style? Any but cutesy.
2. Color preferences want/don't want? Anything but PINK
3. Anything special you want your partner to know....would prefer as a decoration for year round versus a holiday

I like pretty much all styles from pretty, vintage to grunge and steampunk. The only style I don't care for is cutesy. I am not one for super bright colors or pastel but if it fits the direction you are going for - use it. I don't mind feminine just not girly.

Have fun with it, you have free reign with the exception of course of pink and/or cutesyLOL

Questions:

1. Theme/Style? Halloween, scottish terrier, Christmas, vintage, grunge, modern, wine, food, bathing beauties, funny, or old Hollywood would all be fun but not necessary.

2. Color preferences want/don't want? I don't love pastels or lace much, but accents are ok.

3. Anything special you want your partner to know....I'm easy to please, if there's something you'd like to try, do so. I would also be very happy if you want to work from your stash or recycle. I'm not picky.

I always smirk when someone says no neons. I was in high school in the 80's when neon was a staple in the wardrobe. I had neon yellow, green, blue, and yes....don't faint hot pink socks and outfits to match. Big hair, shoulder pads.... oh the memories it all evokesBigGrin

I loved all those neon colors then, especially the big hair, leather jackets and Bon JoviWub, aaah... the memories!! The boys still crack up when they see pics of me from back then, oh boy... how time flies, YIKES!!

Oh yes....Bon Jovi...Esprit Sweatshirts, the pants with the ice cream cone on the buttocks pocket, blue eye shadow, bangs up to ceiling....

A guy at work gave me a post from his 65th high school reunion (yep that is not a typo-he is 82) It was really neat called remember when? It is funny how things we take for granted weren't even a thought during that time or things had a totally different meaning.

What things bring back the memories for you?

Wow, 82... that's awesome!! I remember cassettes, records and the walk-man, Burger King was just becoming popular, beepers, MTV was huge, cable tv (remember the huge box that you had to press keys in order to change the channel), Atari and arcades, computers ran DOS (Window's what was that), floppy disc and the list goes on.

Okay, now I'm starting to realize just how old I am, lol!!!

Oh yeah lets not forget the Jordache Jeans!!!

Well it was an all-girl Catholic high school for me (Class of '80)....nuns, uniforms, gym suit and black and white saddle oxfords here. I did have a perm, not sure why because I have naturally thick, wavy hair.Blink Blushing Laugh

I do remember bell bottoms, "track shoes", huraches (sp?), and Jesus sandals (I think they were called this because they were made with such thin strips of leather).

I'm a Journey, Styx and Earth, Wind and Fire kind of girl.BigGrin

Don't laugh at this photo...many years ago! I think it was some Senior mass we had, we only wore white gloves on special occasions.BigGrin

Ok, who else is brave enough to post a photo?

LOL Well I'm not old enough to know much about the 80's as I'm only 21, but I do remember the 90's! Grunge clothes, lemmings on the computer, internet that went scREEEECh when you dialed up, floppy discs, cassettes and the players, polly pocket, VHS tapes, and having to be in front of the TV at a certain time or you missed your show.

OMG I LOVED LEMMINGS! Those little guys drove me crazy! We moved recently and found a small floppy with Lemmings on it. Too bad we have no computer to put that floppy into. I remember the 90's as well as I had children born in the 80's and 90's.

OMG you are all babes in the woods. Lol

I remember 8 Tracks, Flower Power and my nickname was "Hippy Woman" and it wasn't because I had big hips. I had a dress I wore all the time and it was pleated all the way down from the neckline. It kind of looked like an accordian and was every neon color in the book. Graduated in 1970 and I drove a 1969 Mustang (metallic blue) and I'm here to tell you those were the best years of my life.

I lover hearing stories please keep them coming.

I never played much (I was little and didn't know how to work it and got frustrated when I tried) but I remember watching my older brother playing. He used to scream at the computer when they would start to die. LOL I also remember watching Star Trek Voyager. My mom taped them for my grandmother and when we would go to her house we would watch them. That along with Next Generation and the Original Star Trek. She had them recorded on VHS. I tell people I was raised on Star Trek and Winnie the Pooh LOL

I went and saw the new Star Trek tonight and it was AMAZING. I ADORE Benedict Cumberpatch (I watch Sherlock) and he was brilliant in it!

Melody you make me laugh. I also watched Annette. When they had all her movies on I watched them all and brought back the day when they were new. I had a swimming cap that was bright blue and looked like a flower exploded on my head. Lol

As far as the underwear with the days of the week I still wear mine. The only difference is I wear them so I remember what day it is. HeeHeeHee

Love the pictures.

I think I got the best of both worlds. Having grown up in the 70s and 80s and having much older brothers and sister. I got to play with my sister's barbies (the first ones) and Revlon doll(my favorite) She used soup cans and pin curls for her hair and made all of her own super colorful short short MOD dresses with grundies to match. She worked at Zayre (remember them?) and also made clothes for me. My brothers had all the original GIJoes and tons of hot wheels. I was VERBOTEN to touch themLOL

Then I have Nieces and Nephews from 80s, 90s, and 00s. Polly Pockets, He-man, NKOTB,
And Teenage MNT!
I love Star Trek, can't wait to see the new one.

The 80s were crazy for me. I had parts of my head shaved, permed, dyed, and spiked within an inch of it's life. My wardrobe was either black or thrift store, the craziest clothes I could find, (I wanted to look like Annette or anyone 50s 60s) and it's that dang Mullet that I can't escape?

Keep it going! Love retro.....

My parents and my family minus my sister, then one of her.

Mine are Crimped Hair, Cabbage Patch Doll, and Alf.

My uncle was always crimping my hair! I still have my cabbage patch doll and an Alf doll somewhere around here! My cabbage patch doll I won from a grocery store. Can only think of toys since I was a young kid then!BigGrin
