Here's a lesson in reading the MQ of your partner BEFORE doing your item.

I had my jar all done and felt that it was missing something so I went to my partner's MQ to see what she likes. Lo and behold she HATES (her emphasis) the color I made my jar. Blushing

Oh well, starting over and have a jar for a gift or another swapBigGrin

Denise,

I went through the whole learners permit LAST year. Now he's driving (my car) and has a project car (1978 Camaro) but this weekend was looking for something "drivable" RollEyes I'm hoping you like your bottle.. I had an idea and I ran with it. Luckily I didn't run into too many snags and the paint dried without issue ( we've been humid here ) I'm also working on my best friends baby shower stuff and finishing up another swap so I wanted to make sure everything got done and nothing "fell in the cracks" Smile

Barb, That's funny b/c I took 7 years of french and can't remember much of it. I can still read it sort of. I worked with many Spanish speaking people and at first kept mixing up French and Spanish, then started to learn Spanish and have completely forgotten all the French!
Je ne souviene pas du tout! "NON! NON! NON! Ce n'est pas correct!" I can still hear my french teacher's voice in my head. I never did get the darn past tense right....She was the hardest and best teacher I had.
Use it or lose it!LOL Laugh LOL

So I have hit a slight bump with my bottle. I got this GORGEOUS silver and black jeweled swirly thingy from Prima for my bottle. It sticks fine to the front of the bottle, but on the sides it keeps popping up (my bottle is square with rounded edges). Would you just glue it down? Or is there another way around this?? I wanna keep it on the bottle cause it goes great with my design.

I feel like I am behind the 8 ball on this one. I have the bottle but still looking for that right inspiration!

My youngest needs to go back to get his permit. He waited until the last day to renew and they couldn't get him in. After his last scout camp next week we'll try to get him back in and get driving. Oldest had his first car problems hit this weekend. Welcome to adulthood.Flapper

jci - working on my project and tried a couple of techniques and had total success. Now, I can't wait to finish up and get my project ready for mailing. This swap has been the most fun ever. It forced me into another area outside my comfort zone and I didn't realize I was so daring. LOL. Have a great week everyone!

Saw this on some blog today and thought it might be of interest as I see some people were painting their bottlesBigGrin

This week I took a bottle straight out of my recycling bin, I decided it was way too nice a bottle to simply throw away. I set about figuring a way to paint the bottle from the inside without using a paint brush. This process was very simple, I made a mixture of Mod Podge, acrylic paint, Perfect Pearls and water. I tipped it into the bottle and shook it up, it worked perfectly, my bottle was then a wonderful deep sea sparkly blue.
