I found the craft room so slow and it froze after every single move I made tonight. Is that usual or just an off night?

My speed varies depending on whether anyone else (namely my son....) is also on the net. If he's also online then it's much slower for me. During the day when I'm the only one online, it's much faster.

Occasionally I'll reboot the modem which helps speed things up too.

I can be cutting on my CRICUT when my husband is on another computer connected to it at the same time.

So, I believe it might have more to do with your settings in your computer, programs running in the background, whether or not things are updating in your computer when you're trying to cut (I have my settings so that no one does updates in the daytime....they are all to be done at night when I'm not on the computer; namely, 2:00AM).

Be sure you don't have DS software open at the same time you're using CCR (if you, in fact, ever used DS and have it installed on your computer). They cannot be open at the same time you're trying to use CCR.

I rarely have problems with anything FREEZING or running slow in CCR, whether I'm only designing on the desktop or cutting on my machines; I am on my machines anywhere from five or six days a month to ten or twelve; sometimes less. I do feel I use the software quite often and at times during the day that others are probably using CCR, too.

Why don't you call PC and see if they can help you figure out what your problems might be; sometimes, we might miss a requirement that our computers should have to allow CCR to run smoothly/correctly.

Hope you get it worked out.

Thanks so much. I am connected to a hub instead of directly to the pc so I am going to change that when ds gets home. Hoping that helps.

It didn't help - still slow as ever and freezing constantly.
