Gwynne - I would like to change my stamp to the Hampton Art G45 Steampunk Dress Form if that is ok. I liked it better. Has the wings on it. Thanks.

Chances are we will do another round. We're all only receiving one stamped image, so I bet we'll all wish for extras to have on hand.

SO get your steampunk stamp, paper, and ink ready! lol

Oh, the vintage map is from Stampabilities.

Curious, what kind of paper does everyone use for stamping? I want to use something acceptable for the swap. When I'm stamping for myself, I'm not picky and use whatever I have around me at the time.

I gave away a House Mouse stamp today in a RAK that I've had probably 6 or 7 years; it was perfectly clean because it had never been used.. I'm pretty good about using clear & cling stamps but my boxes of red rubber stamps pretty much stay in their boxes full time.

A couple weeks ago Kelley was wishing TH would make a pennyfarthing die an I had to go look it up too as I didn't know what she was talking about! So a few of us did not know this word. Now we do! Ready for Jeopardy? lol

Terri, got your Group 5 listing but I don't have anything down for Group 2. not sure if that eye chart set will go there too or what.

And looks like I just need dancingstarr to post what she plans on stamping.

*************************

Now that I see there is an interest to use these stamps...I think you'll see some other steampunk/industrial/TH style swaps in the near future to expand on these stamps. Good idea?

Or I think I'll do another round of stamped images, but have at least one group where we stamp on tags and you stamp more then one image on the stamp, sort of like a collage effect, embossed again....and then the receiver can sponge, spray, paint colors onto the tag and embellish themselves.

Or maybe we'll do a Group where you do sponge, spray, paint color on the background too and then stamp an image(s) on.

We can certainly expand and put some use to our collection of stamps.

I can see this as another swap in the futureBigGrin
Not really time consuming either. If I am having a hard time on a project for one reason or another, I set it aside for a bit. Doing these stamped images is something to fit in while my head clears enough to go back and finish my project. (I usually make a few cards in between)

One group could be like the die cut swap you did where 1 cut had to be completely embossed. It would be nice to receive some completed tags also.Smile

I just cut all my paper into quarters and then I stamped Group 1 too. Didn't take all that long. But I had just received this stamp and practiced with it last week so I was all set to go!

And I didn't have to put versamark on each time.

I put versamark on, stamped once, re-inked only, stamped 2nd image. Then sprinkled the EP on both and heated to melt. Then I stamped on scrap paper to clean off the stamp and redid the process with the next two. Worked for me. I didn't want this guy's hands to get all gunked up with excess, so figured it was wise to stamp off on scrap paper to keep him cleaned up.

I hope all these tips will help those of you who may run into problems or issues.

Rainy day, so good day to stamp! Though it looks like the worst of the rain will stay south of me so we may luck out with no risk of flooding.

My DH is driving home from VA Beach area so he's going to have to drive thru that mess today. Hope the high winds and threats of tornadoes stay miles away from him!

I think you are right Gwynne. I like the sponge idea. I am really liking the steampunk thing now as long as it is not too industrial.

Because I've stamped with black all morning....I'd say copper would be a nice change! lol

I envision pocket watches being metallic instead of black....so the copper would work for me.

***********

BTW, the archival ink pad that TH likes to use is a lot nicer of a black color then the memento black ink. Or..maybe my Memento pad is just shot and needs to be replaced. I do add reinker to it....but maybe the color and ink already in the pad has become tainted over time from all the stamping and embossing I do.

Thanks everyone, copper it is. Gwynne I like staz on ink. I just think it does a great job. But you just need to tap the stamp on the pad. Otherwise it would be too wet. Hope this helps.

Gold or silver works for me Denise! Just make it easier on yourself by using that cornstarch baggie to wipe off the paper first so that the EP won't stick all over where you don't want it from static cling.
