Wow! I really am intrigued by the Surprise Extra Credit card; it is so pretty and something I've never seen before. Thank you for introducing me to a new blog.

My DH and children bought me a whole package of spools of bakers twine at Christmas . . .now I have the perfect challenge to incorporate them!

Everyone's cards from last weeks challenge were really wonderful and creative . . I can't wait to see what pops up this week.

Happy crafting!BigGrin

Turtlebug, thanks for hosting this week and giving us that "special" extra credit. Love the sketches also, great choices.

#1
Cute bird and nice touch adding that bling to his eye. Fab papers Love those little flower punches

#2
WILD THING! Love it, the green animal print is perfect for the theme. This card Rocks!

#3 Bendi
Awesome love the birthday papers and the embossing. Love love the way you punched the op of the one layer. This will be a fun card to make so many ideas.

The Bendi card is so fun to make and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. If you Google Bendi card there are a lot of ideas and themes that come up, plus directions by various places. If you get stumped and want to watch a video and other instruction check out
Splitcoast Stampers Bendi Card.

Everyone's brain works differently so if you need more help try that link.
Splitcoast Stampers also has a lot of Bendi cards in their gallery for inspiration

Since I am leaving for Colorado on Friday Josie gave me the sketches a little early so I could work on them and get them done.

Dee thanks for the colors but don't think I will get to use them but will try or at least keep the combination (I love it) and use it another week.

Sketch #1
Wine Glass is a stamp that I stamped on descending sizes of paper then matted each layer on black card stock.
Background paper I printed off the internet.
Birthday Cheers in a Verve stamp
Added some black flat back gems and some cord per the extra credit. TFL

Turtlebug....thanks for the great sketches and extra-credit. I've never heard of a "Bendi" card before. I liked the one you did and also the BG paper you used.

Gesele....enjoy your anniversary trip.

I needed a "tweener" birthday card and wanted to use this digital stamp. I thought I'd adapt it to sketch #2. I hope to work on the others tomorrow.

TFL, Dee

Gisele,

Have a swell time on your Anniversary trip and hopefully you will get time to work on this sketches and the Bendi card later. ENJOY!

DeeScraps
Thanks so much for the pretty AD COLOR CHALLENGE for this week. Have all my cards made, but think I will give ACs a try on another Bendi card.

jill4jewels
Glad you have those spools of bakers twine, anxious to see your interpetation of the sketches with it.

NanaDonna
Thanks for adding the more detailed link for the Bendi card.ThumpUp
#1 + Ex. Credit - WOW so pretty!!! looks like a framed picture hanging on the wall. LOVE the technique you used for creating the image, it looks awesome! Love the color combo of browns and black, very nice. Nice choice of the black CORD against the background.

Dee
That is the problem I ran into last week...not having a good selection of "tweener" cards. I need to build up my supply...thus, the "YOU ROCK" card this week.
#1 + Ex. Credit - This is a great card, especially for a "tweener" celebrating a summertime birthday! Great embossing, love the JUTE, nice job on the coloring on the image, cute addition of the suntan lotion bottle!Smile

BingoLady
#2 + Ex. Credit - Very nice card in the Ad Colors! Like the green with the bright bold splash of the large orange button. Good embossing choice to bring out the circular pattern of the BG paper. The EMBROIDERY THREAD looks nice, like it on the button, too!

Mary R.
Thank you so much for your nice commentsSmile. Please try making the Bendi card, you will find it simple and fun to create. Please post your card when finished and share it with all of us...we would all LOVE to see it! Thanks for checking out WEDNESDAY CARD SKETCH CHALLENGE and it would be great if you would participate in this addicting and fun card-making group of Ladies.

Well it took me FOREVER to finish this card. Here is my Bendi Card, I started it several weeks ago when it first same out on my Splitcoast Stampers newsletter. I was BigGrin happy to see that Turtle bug picked it as the extra credit. I have learn a few things from making this card and areas to improve on when I make my next one.
The stamp is from Pink Stamper that I have had for a long time and never used.
row of flowers with grass are from Plantin Schoolbook.
Fence..............well there is a fence cut on several cartridges but I cut this one using my "other" machine Sneaky .
TFL - this was a fun card to make but I like I said there will be some adjustments next time.

Glad you are enjoying the cool weather in Colorado. Clouds starting to roll in here in Arizona, very cloudly over the mountains. But, no rain YET!
#2 and Ex. Credit - Very pretty! Love the color combo and pattern paper design. Like the pink embossing, which folder? The metal button with the YARN through it looks so nice. Great card!

#2 and Ex. Credit - Cute Father' Day card!! Like the "soap bubbles" background paper, perfect for the theme of the card and to go with the carwash coupons. Dad will appreciate this card very much! Like the use of the re-purposed silver (chromeLaugh) CORD for the extra credit.

As much as I wanted to participate in this weeks challenge I just could not get motivated. This is the first Father's Day without my dad, he passed away 4 months ago, and I just have not been able to be creative as much as I tried. I will look forward to the coming weeks designs. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

No positive but I believe it was from Create a Critter. I looked at so many ( you know me I have to see everyone before I pickBlushing ) but I am pretty sure it is from CAC.

We drove up to Telluride yesterday and rode the Gondola over the mountain Miss Emma loved it being high above the trees. Weather was great, even drove through a big rain storm on the way backBigGrin Love the rainLove something we don't see much of in the desert, but I do hope our monsoon rain season is good this year.

#2 and Ex. Credit - Very pretty! Love the color combo and pattern paper design. Like the pink embossing, which folder? The metal button with the YARN through it looks so nice. Great card!

That embossing fold was in a set, maybe the Paper Lace set? Once you take them out of the package it is hard to remember where they came from.
Come on everyone let's see some BENDI cards only Josie and I braved it and made them. They really are not hard to make!!!!
