So, I am a huge fan of Creative Memories albums. I like that the CM albums are plain. I also really like how they lay flat and close nicely. Unfortunately, it looks like those will not be available for much longer. So, I am looking for suggestions for replacements. I am not interested in d-ring albums at all. I appreciate your help!!

personally I use the $10 from Michael's. They are their brand which I'm drawing a blank on at the moment. They have solid colors (white, black, blue and red I think) they also come in patterns. they are post bound top loading. Mine lay flat (but this is going to be a matter of how thick your pages are and how many extra pages you put in before an extra post) They are commonly on sale for $5. I have been really happy with these ones for all my books.

I haven't used the CM ones so I can't say how these compare just letting you know which ones I use.

CowgirlUp is thinking of the Recollections albums from Michaels. That's what I use also. They are frequently on sale or you can use a 40% coupon.

I really like Pioneer fabric post bound albumns. They are easy to expand come in a wide variety of colors.
I like to put a quote or monogram in the little window depending on the theme of the album. Also the fabric works great with rub ons or iron ons

I am a CTMH demonstrator and think our books are pretty great. I have not found any page protector that compare to the quality of ours and love that you can intermix the full sheet with those divided into 6 slots that you would use for a project life album. We also carry a variety of sizes of Flip Flaps, which adhere to the top of our page protectors to give you the ability to add lots of photos as well as an interactive component to the page. Our books will also lay flat as you are looking through them. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to help or you can check them out here http://jamilarson.ctmh.com/

My favorite albums are the CM albums too, but I heard you could not get the page protectors anymore. I didn't know we will not be able to get the albums either. Is it true about the page protectors? And the albums?

Our CTMH page protectors can be altered to fit the CM albums. Click on the link to see our protectors. http://gailhamilton.ctmh.com/Re...ID=1051&CatalogID=35

I love the Creative Memories albums, but I switched over all my albums to Close To My Heart last year. I have to say, that I love them just as much as Creative Memories! A friend sells CTMH. That is the only reason I tried the albums. They are also cheaper than Creative Memories. They are post bound, not strap hinge. I have found that I like that a lot better. All I have to buy is the album and page protectors. You don't have to buy the paper pages like you do with CM.

They will no longer be a available soon. CM is in bankruptcy, and changing in a big way. They will be offering a last-chance-to-order in July. Their website has all of the details. Everything's going to be gone as far as the traditional albums go :(
