Cut out my cards out of really thick chip board from Michael's with my heavy duty exacto. Now Jean won't have to worry about them being too thin. Still playing with what goes on them, have a couple of ideas. These are my first, so am a little hesitant , but excited too.

That sounds painful on the hands... A couple layers of decent cardstock is sufficient.

Well ya see I was an ATC virgin last round and the reason I know this is because I too cut my foundations from med wt. chipboard (but used my guillotine cutter) and then never used them... I could've sent you mine to not need! LOL LOL

The security image thingy seems to pop up randomly, but in their defense, there was some spam on the board recently.

I usually use 3 layers of just regular cardstock.
1st layer(2 1/4 X 3 1/4 is for my design, 2nd layer(2.5 x 3.5) is for background and 3rd layer (just a touch smaller so I don't have to trimBigGrin) is where I stamp my info.

What ever works as long as it isn't just as single piece of regular paper which is too flimsy.

You are okay Melody. I won't give you 50 lashesLOL

Yep, back to the security code!!!! Probably because of the spam like COB said!

I got the Tim Holtz one as well!

After cutting the Michaels thin chipboard on the Cricut, and it just being a hit and miss good cut, I got the Atc die.

I'm designing the pumping, have cut the leaves but have no idea how I'll do the apple....

I got the ATC die also when I started making ATCs way back when I was an ATC virgin - COB you crack me up!

I sketched out my idea. I hope it turns out okay. The gear thing was killing me!

I had to step away from the short and sweet because that one is giving me a whole lot of stress!

SO I decided to start on these. I cut the bases for apples yesterday. I don't have a die(or a die machine!OMG!OhMyGod ) so have to measure and hand cut also. Let's just say exact measuring and I don't get along very well. My material is thick and keeps curling up, it all came unglued from the base overnight so back to trying another glue today. Needless to say the apples one will be pretty rough around the edges and back. Hopefully it will turn out well otherwise.
The other 2 will be easier, only cardstock for those.

Have fun!
Laura

I received a free stamp this week that just happens to be a basket of apples.....so I just might use that now! Talk about perfect timing to receive that!

I have my ideas in my head, but no time to put on paper yet to see if it all works out okay.

Melody! You are crazy for cutting all that chipboard by hand! You must be exhausted!

Yes you can, it takes place of the A plate.

My "sandwich" is B plate - Tim Holtz Die - Paper - B plate.
If the Cardstock is too thin, I sometimes add a shim to it.
