Just back today from our week long vacation in VA & it was so much fun! My favorite part was the basketry lessons! I made 3 baskets & it was so much fun, so think I may have found another hobby I would like to take up! lol DH did some soap making & really enjoyed that & said he wants to make more too.

Joy & Shelly, how fun you are in the same hotel & on the same cruise!!! Definitely have to take some photos of you both to post here!

Jeanne, thank your son for serving his country. Quite a handsome fellow you have there!

Bingolady, do you mind me asking how much you pay for a typical bingo night?
I normally pay about $26 for the night & have quite a few boards to play. Payouts are from $100 for regular games to around $420 for 50/50 games (which there are 3 of) & $300 for the final blackout game.

Only asking as I went to bingo in McGaheysville VA, when I was down there & man, it was expensive!!! I didn't realize until I got to pay for it all & it was $61! I couldn't believe it. LOL Payouts were $100 for the regular games, then $1000 for the last game, the blackout game.

CTMH just released a new Holiday Mini Catalog to consultants to check out online. Not available for us to order from yet. Well my twin girls are on one of the pages of the catalog! They used some older photos of my girls in a layout titled 'friends'. Nancy, if you look online at the holiday mini, they are on page 19, the pink layout!

Paul & I have been tossing around the idea of buying a timeshare. Anyone own one? Good or bad about them? Where we just stayed at was a timeshare resort, but we normally buy the week off of a friend of mine, so don't actually own there. We love it there. But wonder how much we would use it, how easy it would be to sell our week if we couldn't go one year etc.

Might look at Poconos timeshares too, as the Massanutten VA one is amazing, but a pretty long 5hr 30min drive.

A big hello from Lydia. hope all of you had a wonderful weekend.Love

Sharon, I'm so glad you had a nice time, Oh my I would like to see those baskets.
To answer your bingo question, There are 3 prices for the cards.
$4.oo pays $400.00 , $8.00 pack pays $8oo.oo and the $12 pack pays $1000.00.
There is a certian bingo that is called MPBingo, this is played in a lot of bingos
in some states. And it goes up as high 2 hundred thousand dollars.
This is a Indian Casino they have some pretty big jackpots.
They even raffle cars every month.Of course you have to be present to win.
And I can't afford to go every day.
So I go on Mondays and Thursdays for our 20% off. Wish me luck BigGrin BigGrin
thankyou
So I pay About 25$ to about 37$ it depends on what I fill like playing.
We don't play on paper, we use a small machine that looks like a computer.

Good night to all of you Love Love

Hi everyone;
Geez, can't believe the w/end is over already! We had absolutely beautiful weather...which is highly unusual for a long w/end! Made it out to the lake and Troy had a ball on the tube...great fun to watch him! Had an early morning wakeup call this a.m, from a friend who showed up around 9:30 for coffee. Then this afternoon we went to visit our old neighbours and dh ended up replacing a part on her toilet (her dh is in LA visiting his sister).

Joy & Shelly: I was wondering if you were on the same cruise. Have a great time.

Nancy: glad the birthday went well, it's nice when the kids enjoy looking at the scrapbooks...makes it all worthwhile.

Sharon: glad you had a nice holiday and found some new hobbies

Angie: hope everything is still ok with you guys...have been hearing some of what's happening, didn't know you were that close to it all though. Stay safe

Lydia: have fun at Bingo, hope you win lots

Well, 1st day of school for the kids tomorrow...better get lots of rest toniteLOL! Bye for now, take care

Yes, girls start back to school tomorrow too. 3rd grade for them!
I also start work tomorrow, 10am-4pm for orientation, so hopefully not too tough.
But the next day (Thursday) I have a shift from 8.30am-6.30pm, I am going to be tired after that!

So just been doing things around the house to get ready for going back to work & school for us.

I need to make some plastic cups with vinyl on them, for a street fair I am doing in 3 weeks time. Thinking I will put Jersey Pride or Jersey Proud on them? Then can put an outline of the state of NJ on the back. Not sure, tossing around some ideas. It is going to be local here in Flemington NJ.

I also have lots of premade cards to sell, so hoping to sell some of those. Oh & must get a bulletin board made up to advertise my Christmas card making class.

Nervous about going back to work, after being off all summer long.

Lydia, that isn't too bad a price for bingo, I thought this $61 down in VA was a crazy price!
We still use paper & dabbers though for our bingo. I have seen the computer things & that sure makes it a lot easier! Did you win anything last night? My regular night was last night, but as it was Labor Day they didn't have it.

Next bingo is Thursday evening for me, but not sure I can make it as I think it starts at 7pm & I don't finish work until 6.30pm & will take me about 50 mins to get there! lol

Hi Ladies,
Thanks for the sweet comments about our Marine! He continues to do well...we Skyped again on Sunday night(Monday morning for him) They were off from Sat-Tuesday. He got to try out a local Japanese food place...ate some huge king prawn and steak!

Angie
, our Marine said that they are all watching what is happening in Syria. They are hoping for action there, but my Marine's parents aren't.

Nancy, that cake looks yummy! TFS!

Sandra, hope school went well today.

Hi Sharon, sounds like you had a fun week.
We have been to a few Time share places and decided it wasn't worth the money for us when our kids were younger. We generally always go to Ohio to spend time with our parents...we take day trips.(or one night overnight)Though it looks good on paper...we just decided that saving for college for our 4 kids was the way to go. Just my 2 cents.

Hi Lydia...hope you won some games!

Had a nice time with the kids over for a cookout last night. Simon was sick yesterday...24 hr stomach bug. Seems able to keep some toast, Jello and boiled egg down today. Poor fellow felt bad that he ruined the family dinner...we said we felt bad for him not able to eat what we had!

Today was our first day back to home schooling...a Junior this year. He was feeling well enough to go practice football. They won their 2nd ga,e last Saturday...28-17! Hard to believe we are on our last one and only have 2 more years of school!

Have a great evening everyone.BigGrin

Jeanne... hope your son feels better soon, How nice to Skype with the Marine..

After your son graduates what will you do with your time???

Lydia... how is the weather in AZ are you in the mountains where it is cooler or in the hot zone LOL My step son lives in Scottsdale and his wife owns a spa

Abigail was so cute last week she kept running around my lving room coffee table making me so nervous about 20 times. I mention that to my DD and she said she wants you to run after her LOL

So today grandma starts running around the table with her and she goes hysterical laughing. she is growing too way too fast
.

I actually made a 4x8 card today using Artbooking I saw Joy on You Tube and had to try it. It is where you have to piece the neg. parts of the card together. It was fun and it came out pretty still have to finish the embellishments

First day of school with students is done! All went pretty well, though one of the students that I was assigned to isn't returning so we'll see what happens now. From what I can see there are a few "needs" in some of the students in the room anyway. My 3 new carts were waiting for me when I got home and no reward points in them, I wonder what's going on with that?

Sharon: hope the new job goes well. Your idea for the tumbler sounds adorable.

Nancy: Abigail sounds like she's a real little doll

Lydia: it sure is nice to be able to get out and walk in the evenings, isn't it? Glad you had a good time at bingo...better luck next time

JeanneLee: hope the flu bug has left your house. Glad you are able to skype with your marine regularily.

Joy: glad you were able to meet up with Shelly. Hope you have a great trip

Got a haircut today and tomorrow getting my nails redone...they aren't looking so nice right nowLOL!

Morning ladies!

Yes, DS is feeling so much better. We started with Jello and then toast yesterday and he was able to keep that down. Then he said he was really hungry (good sign!)so I boiled him an egg. He then decided he felt good enough to go to football practice...so he did! Came home tired but a good tired.
He is busy working on school now and says he feel LOTs better.

Gorgeous here today...low 80s!

Nancy
! You are too funny! I am an RN by degree and would like to go back to take a refresher course...its been 16 yrs since I work in a hospital. I have looked into it and may start planning to do it the year Simon graduates.(which will be here before I know it!)
Seems like just yesterday that Abigail was born! What a treat it must be for you to see her grow up!

JOY, happy to hear that you and Shelly got to meet up! Train rides are so much fun!!

I need to check out Joy's video on YT you mentioned, Nancy. I cut out a bunch of larger tags to use in Sunday School class last weekend.

Have a great day everyone!

I guess everyone is MIA lately, pretty quiet hereLOL! Well, one more day and the first week of school is in the booksBigGrin! Actually, all in all things have gone pretty smooth.

JeanneLee: glad your ds is feeling better. DH has been battling a summer cold here for about a week now...just the cough left.

Nancy: the only time I get a bit nervous is when I get thrown into "unknown territories" as they say. I've been at this school long enough now that I know all the staff pretty well and I just sort of "go with the flow", no sense getting all worked up over something you have no control over. Hope you were able to get some crafting done while Abigail was napping. I haven't tried any of the cards yet...something more I need to get toLOL!

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Off to a crop at M's this Sat., so have to get stuff together for thatBigGrin!

Lydia... love ribs how fun playing poker with family and enjoying a nice meal. I think ribs are one of my favorite foods. My name is Nancy.. don't know if I mentioned that.

Joy and Shelly boy the week flew by I am sure you all enjoyed yourselves

I am having so much fun with the Artbooking cartridge, today I want to try more of last years cartridge Artiste need a couple more swing cards. Also want to try Art Philos. I have so many carts and now just playing with these!!

Yesterday was a fun day my Crafty friend came over in the am usually Abigail is napping but decided she didn't want to and wanted to join in on us LOL well she sat in her highchair with a puzzle and played with it the whole time almost 3 hours babbling at times. My friend can really talk and I think Abigail was chatting with her. So good then she ate lunch and went down for her nap for almost 3 hours.

My GF refuses to play with her cricut she just likes her stamps (SU) I got her so hooked on everything matching now she has bought every ribbon, cardstock from SU (she also became a demo 4 months ago so she is keeping herself active) Now I am involved with CTMH so she lost me as a customer.

I am cleaning now just need to freshen things up a bit threw some wash on. My DH went once again to the farm stands and bought more fresh eggplant so I guess I am cooking eggplant parmgiana also will dice it up sauté it in garlic and olive oil and throw it in the sauce and serve it over pasta

Well let me get going

Enjoy the day everyone

Afternoon, ladies!

Exciting football game yesterday. We won 42-26(so we are 3 wins and 0 losses!)
We played a Private school last week and this week. Pretty good for a bunch of homeschool boys.
BUT we have a lot of games left.

Nancy
, sounds like you had a fun day with Abigail and your friend.
I am planning to play with my Cricut cartridges today!
...enjoy your eggplant Parmesan!

Lydia, have fun playing cards. I remember fondly when our family would travel up on a Saturday night for my parents to play poker with my Aunt and Uncles. We kids(I had a lot of cousins) would get to stay up late and play hide and seek in their big house. Always fun!
Ribs sound yummy!

Sandra
, hope you hubby feels better soon. Summer colds are awful!
A week of school is now under our belts! Hope you have a great year.

Joy and Shelly, hope you are having a great trip!!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Just got home from a crop at M's, it's the first one I've been to since June. Busy day today...Troy had golf this a.m., and then we headed to their Special Olympic Welcome Back b-b-q. All week the weather has been awesome...today not so much, cool & windy and then rain just as I went to M's this afternoon. We did need some rain though, so all's good.

Lydia: hope you had a good poker night and enjoyed the ribs.

Nancy: sounds like you've had lots of fun crafting and scrapping with your gf. You have been a house on fire with your housework and cooking...way to go!

JeanneLee: congrats to your ds and his team for their wins. Makes for a fun season when they win some games.

Tomorrow I guess will be housecleaning, laundry and grocery shopping here and not much got done today.

Take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your w/end.

Hi girls...I always enjoy reading what everyone is up to. We've had a very football heavy weekend. We went to a high school game Friday night. DS played yesterday (and won 19-0). He had a great game!! Today, we're watching my beloved Colts. This morning, the cycling team invited my son to ride with them. Me and a friend also rode, but it was a big deal for DS to get to ride with the team. I'm not sure who was more proud....DS or his dad! BigGrin We had a lovely ride, though. Easy 20 miles at a nice conversational pace. DS did great and was asked to come ride with the team again next Sunday morning.

I made a few cards and gave them to DS's teacher for her birthday. She seemed to enjoy them. I used the apple from Locker Talk, which I thought looked like a strawberry after I made the cards. LOL

I haven't had a lot of time to scrap lately....too busy with just all sorts of stuff I suppose. I did get together with friends last week and made some more necklaces. Love my new baubles...made 7 necklaces that day!

Hope everyone is well!

Hi Ladies,

Sounds like you got a lot accomplished this weekend, Nancy!

Sandra
, did you get anything completed at your crop? That is wonderful Troy had good weather for a BBQ!

Congrats, Sonya, on your DS's football teams win! Wow, 20 miles...that is so cool your DS is enjoying riding with you all.

Well I was planning on cutting some cards out with my Cricut and got into reorganizing my carts.
I have one of those "On the Edge" Tim Holtz dies that is the tab one and used cereal boxed to cut tabs out for all my carts. Then I realized I had several more carts I need to get in alphabetical order. So finishing them today.

DH, our oldest DS, youngest DS and DsonIL are out playing football with some other guys from our church this afternoon.

Tonight we are meeting up with another couple to celebrate their 30th Anniv. at Carrabas...they took us out for our 30th past April.

Have a blessed Sunday evening!

I got a good head start on finishing Birthday cards, Engagement and 2 Halloween cards for Hannah and Alex. Now they are older I have a hard time coming up with ideas but I used Artbooking instead of making a mini album I used the Halloween images to make 2 cards.

I even took out6 my embossing powder and heat gun and they really came nice. Trying to scan them but having problems with the scanner. I have to look further into that.

Still have to make my grand daughter a Halloween card and Steve's grandchildren might use Teddy Bear on Parade for that. Last year it was Mini Monsters.

Well hoping everyone has a good evening

Just got in from my evening walk, dh didn't want to come as we had been on a bike ride this afternoon. It was such a lovely evening after we got back from dropping Troy off I didn't want to waste it...I'm sure there aren't a whole lot of them left. Though this whole week is supposed to be nice, so fingers crossed.

Sonya: your son must have been over-the-moon riding with the team, good for him. Congrats on his football win also.

JeanneLee: hope you got your room all reorganized. Hope you have a nice dinner out. I managed to get about 4 pages almost completed...just need a few more embellishments, etc.

Nancy: our M crops are from 3-9 the first Sat., of every month. Not sure how many more I will get to though due to hockey, but we'll see. Glad you were able to get some more cards done.

Got to go and get some ironing done before the night is over.

Take care everyone, talk to you soon.

Morning ladies,

Getting my day started with a cuppa of Hazelnut coffee.

WE had a nice dinner out, got a photo, but forgot to transfer it off DH's phone...will do later.

Sandra
, 4 pages done, that is great! I have high hopes I will get at least that many at the crop this weekend. Going to get started on our Marine's album. Got my 100 photos developed to take, just need to pic them up.

Nancy
, YES...I caught the "bug" from you! Laugh Laugh Seems like when things (in bags) start to accumulate on the floor it is time to organize and put away things!

Organizing my room is going to take weeks, I think! But at least I got a start on it...got all my Project Life purchases put away. The Cricut carts I haven't linked yet, are many! I am going to try and get that done today...have to link them through the CCR and then my G. We will see how many I can get done today/tom'w.. Need to get them done before this weekends crop.

Have a great day everyone!

Can't wait to hear all about it

Lydia nice you DH helps you mine will vacuum for me sometimes cook usually BBQ helps with the dishes although I have a dish washer he likes to wash dishes!!

Sandra... we are having very cool temps here like 69 to 70 I can't believe your weather enjoy it

Jeanne... is your craft room in the basement?? I thought I remember someone saying they moved their craft room in the basement. Unfortunatly I always have to have a clean room because to go into the back yard you go thru my craft room into the sun room then outside. Hope you get some organizing done.
Don't forget to post a photo

Have a good night all

Another lovely day, another lovely evening walk! It's great to walk around the little lake in our subdivision and see the geese and other birds at play. Sure hope this great weather holds.

JeanneLee: glad you had a nice supper. I find I get more done if I have the papers and pictures matched before I go. Spent this evening so far putting labels on all my Tim Holtz inks and filling in the chart with all the product I have for each color. Will keep one chart at home and carry one with me. Good luck with linking all your carts.

Nancy: my craft room is in the basement. Abigail sure was a sleepy girl today.

Lydia: have fun with your cleaning tomorrow. Nice your dh gives you a hand. Mine not so much!

Going to try making a floor hockey bear for one of Troy's pages with the Teddy Bear Parade, might take a bit of improvising.

Take care everyone, happy crafting.

Well we are into final wedding countdown Love I have taken this week off work and DD has a long list of things that need to be done each day and so far we are on track of everything. She had her first melt down today, I guess it was inevitable! she is not well, has a bad cold and hardly any voice which is not helping. Today she had an appointment at the church so that she could try out the whole powerpoint presentation, this is the basis of the whole ceremony, it has the words to the hymns, responses and a really nice song and pictures whilst they sign the register etc and she wanted to ensure that it all works on their equipment. Well the church would not let her try it out, said that she could do it at the rehearsal. She tried to explain to them that if it does not work then she will have no time to fix it and try again as the rehearsal is on the Friday night but they wouldn't budge! The church service is something that is very important to them and she ended up leaving in a flood of tears! I really don't understand it, she had an appointment with them to do it and the church was not in use at the time. I just hope it is all going to work without any glitches! On the upside I finally got confirmation today that their wedding present has arrived and I can collect it on Thursday, nothing like cutting it fine but I think they are going to be thrilled with it, I know I am BigGrin We dropped off some of the stuff at the venue, including the seating plan which I think I told you about before, it is a photo of every guest done in a polaroid type frame with their table number on it and the board is decorated with hearts etc. Well the staff at the venue raved over it and were very impressed so that really made her feel good. They get to see this sort of stuff all the time and if they were impressed with it then hopefully all the guests will be too. It is now a 70% chance of rain on Saturday, hopefully we can work around if for the photos. It is all going to be such an anticlimax when it is all over and done with LOL

Debbie ... time goes so quickly how exciting. Hoping Power Point goes well. That is a big thing to do here in L.I. it is so nice to see the bride and groom when they were young and thru the years. I know things will go well you and DD are very well organized.

Rainy gloomy day here, Abigail down for a nap already. Going thru my Halloween paper and cardstock I use to save all my scraps now I am trying to only save bigger pieces.

Sharon ... how was your job going??
