It snowed all night. We have over six inches, probably more like eight. DH finally got to use the snow blowre tbat our neighbor gave us a couple of years ago.

I don't think we will make it to choir practice this morning. It will be a good day to get my tree decorated.

Joy, Sandra, Shelly...you girls LOVE to share! I hear we maybe getting a storm tom'w.(Sunday) OR worse yet, ICE!
We are suppose to have a family get together at DD and DSILs house tom'w night...we will have to wait and see how the weather pans out??

Wanted to check in and say "HI". Getting some *playtime* today!
DS did well at drivers ed this week...90s and above on all his quizzes.
One more week of class.

Joy, the new camera sounds nice...you will have to keep my posted how it is.
My Kodak is old as well and may need a new one by next birthday!

Hi Debbie, hope you figure out what the problem is on your car and its not too expensive to fix. Always seems like its something at Christmas time, doesn't it!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Nancy - Darn that vertigo! Hope they can figure it out so you can be done with it once and for all!!!

JeanneLee - Oh I sure hope you don't get an ice storm! I've heard the east is supposed to be in for some nasty weather.

Joy - Have fun with your new camera. Will be nice for your upcoming cruises.

Sandra - Sorry you didn't get to tend your great niece.

Bingolady - Hope you had fun shopping.

Cold! We are freezing. We got about 8 inches of snow this last round. Down in St. George, which is at the Arizona, Nevada border, they had 6 inches of snow as of 8 p.m. last night! Unheard of for that area. Not sure how much more they got. I'm sick of winter now. It can stop anytime now. Overnight we were supposed to get "Lake Effect" snow and possibly up to 18 inches of snow depending on where it hit. We only got a couple more thank goodness! They are never sure exactly where it will hit, so I'm wondering what areas got it. Guess I will watch the news tonight and see who the lucky recipients were.

My embroidery class got cancelled due to the weekend storm we had. So spent the day getting started on Christmas projects. I sure have a lot of them to do. I think I will need to add another week before Christmas gets here to get them done, lol. I guess I will have some late nights. A lot of sewing projects. I hope my machine holds out this year. Seems like it needs a trip to the repair shop whenever I have a ton of sewing to do!

just back from taking Troy home. Spent the afternoon shopping with mom, stopped in at The Mall (West Edmonton Mall) to pick up a couple of things though. I try to avoid this mall at all possible cost but a few things on the kids list could only be gotten there.

Shelly: hope you get your sewing all done. Funny you say that about your machine needing a trip to the repair shop...we used to have a fridge that would inevitably break down when we were having a big family thing and on the w/end to boot!

Joy: hope you have fun with your new camera. I have a Nikon and really like it

JeanneLee: hope you were able to have your get together

Nancy: sorry you're not feeling well again, hope they figure out what's causing the vertigo

we're in a "heat wave"...supposed to hit -9 tomorrowLOL! Time will tell, probably will get a dump of snow with it. Have been getting some cards put together today.

Better run and get back at it. Happy crafting

I am not looking forward to the weather this week, it is going to be 98 degree + too hot here and too cold for some of you, if only we could swop a few degrees and all be happy BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

Joy I hope you enjoyed your birthday

I have posted all my overseas cards and only today did I realise that I did not put new SIL' name in them, just put DD - thank goodness he will never know Blushing Blushing seriously I am sure that it would not bother him if he did know, just signing our names was force of habit LOL

We had to cancel our family get together last night...icy conditions...we got a couple of inches of snow and icy stuff on top and then it rained a bit.
Suppose to get 3-5 Inches tom'w....we will see.
I have to head out and pick up a neighbor from the airport afternoon today. The roads should be okay until tonight.

Nancy, so very sorry to hear that the vertigo is still hanging on! I will be praying they find the *culprit* and fix it!

Debbie, enjoy your summer! Our son in Okinawa loves the weather there right now...not as hot!

Sandra, I feel the same way about our mall, especially since they built a casino by it!

Hi Shelly! Is that normal snowfall for you all? Hope you get all your projects down. I am going to start on a Knifty Knitter scarf using some Sashay yarn for a ruffle scarf that is all the rage right now.

Joy, hope you all are staying warm!

Finally ordered some Christmas flat photo cards to send to family that are far away last night...gotta love free shipping and 50% off the order!

Hello everyone, got all caught up.

Here's my update:
Went to the holoday bazzar, didn't do as well as I thought I would, oh well. I have lots for next year.

I joined the PTO at school, not sure I'm going to stick with it. We had a little food bazzar on Wed. We asked the parents to send food for us to sell and by did they send food. There was so much! Anyway, it was very stressful. The lady in charge priced everything weird prices. Like .15, .30, .40 etc. I suggested .25 and .50 but she ignored me. Then she wrote all the prices in Arabic. It was not a good experience.

Jamal has been the States for the past week. He was supposed to be back tonight, but his flight got cancelled in Washington D.C. So he got to spend another night. He should be b back tomorrow night. I'm so excited. My mom sent a box for us and he did some shopping for us.

Nancy sorry your not doing so good with the vertigo, I hope they figure out what's going on. Good you got all your shopping done.

Joy your camera sounds nice, and great job on the cruise score. Almost free is fabulous.

Shelly have fun babysitting

Debbie sorry your weather is so hot. Maybe you'll get a cooling treand soon.

Sandra I hate the mall. We have one here that is very much like the malls in the States, but twice the price. It's depressing.

Jeanne enjoy your playtime.

We got some cold weather. One day last week it was open the windows and wear a light jacket weather and litterally the next day I was digging out the winter coats. It was rainy anhd cold and yucky. We're supposed to get snow on Wed. I don't like the snow. People are worse drivers in the snow. They don't know how to manage it. I'll be staying home and crafting.

Better go, it's late here and I need to go to sleep.

I'll try again to upload the pics of the blocks.

Hi all. I read through everything, but by the time I am posting, I will forget what I wanted to comment on! Blushing

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear that your vertigo is acting up again! I hope it goes away quickly.

Shelly, DH and I were both amazed to read that St George got snow! Oh my.

Angie, I hope Jamal brings home some wonderful goodies for you!!!!!

JeanneLee, I have been knitting more ruffle scarves. I had one finished, but it was just too short, so I ripped it out and am making it with less stitches. I only used six, but now I am using 5. I have just a couple more to get done by Christmas.

Debbie, I would still take your heat! The sun is shining, but it is someplace around 13 degrees. Now the weather forecasters are saying that it won't be above freezing until the weekend. It was supposed to be by Wednesday.

Sandra, I know what you mean about the mall. Not pleasant this time of year. Then again, neither is WalMart! TOO many people.

We have been leaving the water drip at night so our pipes don't freeze. Yesterday morning after baths, we didn't drizzle it. We talked about it on the way to church and I called Megan to have her drip it. She only turned on the hot. The cold was frozen by the time we got home. The pipes in one spot are in the foundation, so we have to heat up the cement for the pipes to thaw. DH drove 15 miles one way to get a space heater to get the job done.

I got my coat all cut out. My back is really tired. Now, to start sewing. The pattern is easy, but there were LOTS of pieces. And it is easier said then done to keep the dogs off of things when I have it spread all over the floor.

guess what we woke up to? warmer weather and another snowfall...had to shovel before we left for work. We just can't win around here, more cold coming in tonite for tomorrow.

Angie: sorry your craft sale didn't go well. Good luck with your school group. Hope Jamal brings you lots of goodies

Joy: glad you got your coat cut out, hope the sewing goes well. I finished off a scarf that a teacher at school ordered and took it in today. She just said "thanks" and walked off with it. I always thought when you ordered something you paid for itConfused! We have a Wal-Mart here also, if I go right after school it's not usually too bad. I'm getting my nails done on Thurs, right by there so will hit it afterwards. Not even thinking of going on the w/end

JeanneLee: sorry you dinner was cancelled, can you do it another time? Have fun makaing your scarf. I've made a few using that yarn, it's great to work with.

Nancy: hope you are doing ok

Debbie: sorry it's so hot for you, I've been slowly getting my cards ready to go. I don't send out too many at all anymore.

Trip to the dentist for me after school tomorrow...cleaning time. Off to finish up more cards

Take care everyone, happy craftingBigGrin BigGrin!

Morning ladies!

We woke up to snow! They are saying 3-5, so far we have over a whole inch!Razz
Supposed to be out of here by early afternoon.

Talked with DS, the Marine, last night...great news~ the paperwork(they tacked an extra year on and his Bonus for taking the job he signed on for) that they messed up after bootcamp is finally cleared up. He met with them yesterday and they said all should be taken care of on Friday(payday.

Joy, your coat sounds lovely! Hope you share a photo. Hope that your pipes hold up to the cold. I remember when I lived in Ohio growing up and my parents having to do that.

Sandra, sounds like there was a *communication error* with the teacher.
Hope you get that worked out.

Angie, great to hear from you! I bet you are excited to have Jamal back home and enjoy the goodies he is bringing home to you!)

I have everything ready to start my scarf today! Off I go...
Have a great day everyone!

Hi Lydia! Glad you made it through your test!
The yucky stuff is bad, got to chime in with you on that. ThumbDown
Hope you get your blanket done in time...I always seem to procrastinate! Tongue

Just heard that a dear friend and hubby made it up from Florida.
Fortunately their flight wasn't effected by our 3 inches of snow!
We are having coffee at Paneras tom'w and I am hoping that the roads will be clear in the am.

I have over a foot of my scarf done so far...looks great, but have to give my eyes a break every once in a while.

Lydia: I would so love to send some of this snow to youLOL! Good luck with your baby blanket, hope you get it done in time. Glad your tests were good, I know that stuff is yucky.

JeanneLee: hope things all get worked out for your ds. I spent some time this afternoon with the teacher in question and she made no mention at all of the scarf...so I guess it's a lesson learned. Look forward to seeing your scarf when it's done. I finished another one last nite while watching tv.

Nancy: hope Abigail liked all the decorations. I cut way back on my decorating this year...in fact sent a box full to the Goodwill. Thank you for your kind comments on my scarves. Glad you like them. Glad your vertigo has packed up and left...hopefully for good. At least all the tests came back fineBigGrin!

Finally getting my nails redone tomorrow...I've been putting it off so I wouldn't have to get them done again before Christmas. Better get my mucky painting finished with toniteLOL! Doing some cards using Tim Holtz's distress paints.

Hi everyone.

Joy - Hope your pipes are ok. It sure has been awfully cold!

Angie - Hope your DH got home ok and that he brought you lots of goodies. Sorry your craft fair didn't go as well as you had hoped.

Sandra - Love your scarves. They are so fun to make. Sorry the teacher didn't pay you for the scarf. That was just wrong.

Lydia - Glad your tests came back ok.

Nancy - Glad your vertigo is gone. Sure wish they could figure out what is causing it. Hope Abigail leaves your tree alone. The little ones seem to want to touch all the shiny balls.

JeanneLee - Sure hope your son got everything straightened out. Sorry the weather canceled your plans the other day. Hopefully you can reschedule. Hope you had a good time catching up with your friends from Florida.

I've just been working on Christmas stuff. Getting a dent made in it. Hopefully I can get it all done on time. If DH would quit adding things for me to do, it would sure help. He came up with a big project for me to do that I wasn't too happy with, but I got it done today and out of the way, but only because my GS was sick so I didn't have to babysit.

We are a little worried about our motorhome that we keep down in Mesquite, NV in the winter. It almost never gets below freezing there, and if it does it is only for a short time. Last week there were several nights and days that stayed below freezing, so we are worried about the water heater and pump having frozen. Guess we will have a soggy mess next time we go down. Not looking forward to it.

Hi all. Sharon sent me a facebook message to tell everyone hi. She is having problems logging in.

Sandra, that is too bad about the scarf. I have not had my computer on to download the scarf lic.

Nancy, so good to hear that you are doing better!

Shelly, I hope that your motor home will be OK!!

I have been working on my coat, but I guess today I will get out the decorations a d get the tree done. Since Lincoln ate one of Megan`s decorations yesterday I think I will not decorate very low. And nothing fragile. Jeffie will be here next week.

It has not been above freezing for way too long. We are still continually drizzling water ,

Debbie: glad you got all your wrapping done. I make little holders for my gift cards and the rest get gift bags.

Joy: good luck with your tree, the cats aren't too bad with ours

Sharon: hope you are able to get logged in again soon

Nancy: hope you are doing ok today

Hope everyone else is ok and not working too hard

This MB is very frustrating takes forever to sign in... I downloaded Firefox that is the only way I can get on and even that took awhile.

I had to go to a specialiest today in all my adult life I never had so many visits to the doctor
More blood work and testing.

Sandra.. you sure are getting a lot of snow you must have muscles by now with all that shoveling

Shelly.. hoping your Motor home will be ok..

All my Christmas presents are wrapped. Finished DH Birthday gifts and Christmas gifts today. It is hard when your birthday is the 22nd. of Dec.

Waiting for Alex and Hannah to come over we are taking them Christmas shopping then out to dinner. Should be a nice evening. Hannah is great shopping for sees something tries it on and sold. Alex he never can make up his mind.

Well hoping everyone has a great day/night

Joy I am glad you did the conversion for us.

Sandra... stop sending the snow my way it has been snowing since 8am this morning and it it after 6 pm. Freezing rain on the way at midnight and we have our Christmas Brunch tomorrow for the GRR Club. Hoping not to bad to drive.

Well went for more blood work this morning then out for breakfast then to Toys R Us just had to pick up one more thing for my grand daughter. Like I didn't buy enough LOL

Took Hannah and Alex shopping last night seems Alex knew exactly want he wanted we went to the Microsoft Store and he got a game for his new X Box and 1 yr. Gold membership had moeny left over and I just bought another gift card so he can shop. Hannah on the other hand went store to store just the opposite of what I said earlier. Then went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Haven't been there in a while had a Southern Catfish dinner boy was is good. Then brought desserts home and enjoyed it in our nice warm house. I 20 minutes ride to the Mall and coming home 11 miles 2 accidents it took use 1 hour 1/2 to get home. People are so in a rush speeding.
I hate being on the roads.

So I wrapped all the presents today and made some Christmas tags did I ever tell you how I love my cricut and Imagine.

Has PC changed my life for the last 7 yrs.

Thanks girls for the lovely Christmas cards.

Joy so pretty, I tried sending you an email but it bounces back every time.

Have a good evening everyone/day

Holey Cow! It's cold. We got the worst storm since 1970 here in Jordan. Snow snow snow and then more snow. Jordan isn't equiped for snow. It has shut the entire country down. we're snowed in. They don't have enough snow plows to move all the snow so people can get out. It's bad.

On Tuesday they said get ready a storm is coming, put gas in the car, get bread and water and esssential food. So we did. The storm came on Wed, it was raining and so windy it was awful. I kept the kids home from school, then about 11:30 I got a text sayign they were letting the kids out a 12:00 (mine were already home) and we waited. So it rained all day Wed. Then Wed night the snow came and it hasn't stopped. We're very cold. SO lots of soup and hot cocoa.

We're fine. We have enough propane for the heaters, although they area advising people to stay in 1 room with the heaton to conserve prpane because they're not sure when the propane truck can get ou to the neighborhoods. How it work here is you buy a propane tank or tanks for about 50.00 then you get it refilled for about 10.00. There are trucks that drive around with tank in the back and you just swap out your empty tank for a full one. Kind of convienent.

This is just my opinion but I think there is going to be a shoratage of propane when this storm is over.

So I haven't been up in my studio much. I can see my breath.

So basically whoever sent this weather to Jordan, needs to take it back now. I've been cooped up in the house with my husband, and 4 kids since Wed. They're driving me bonkers.

Nancy so glad your feeling better, I hope they figure out what's causung the vertigo. Toddler toys are so hard to resist. I have to stop myslef from buying stuff for Layla. I prefer to buy when we go back in the summer, better prices and better quality. I really want to get her a little shopping cart, but it's about twice the price it should be. So I'll wait.

Sandra did you ever say anything to that lady about the scarf? At least she could give you a gift card. I loved the scarf pics by the way, I saw those and the yarn at Joanns when I was there last summer but my mom and I couldn't figure out how it's done. I guess maybe youtube wuld tell us.

Joy I hope your pipes didn't freeze. Too bad you can't decorate the bottom part of your tree. Maybe get a baby gate to put in front.

Bingolady, nice to put a face to the name. Did I tell you I lived in Tucson Az for a while.

Shelly I hope your camper is ok. Is there anyone that can go check on it for you?

Debbie good for you getting all your presents wrapped. I got all mine wrapped too. I do need to go get the Santa wrapping paper and a few other little things. Santa always bring the kids a Webkinz. If you don't know what a webkinz is, it's a little stuffed animal that you buy and it has a specialo code you put into the computer and it bring your naimal to life. Well, you hsve to keep buying them to keep your account active. Your account is good for 1 year, and then you have to biy another animal with a code to keep it active. What a scam, but my kids are spoiled so I guess santa will go try and find webkinz. There's one toy store that sells them. I'll go there.

If you have facebook you can see all our snow pictures if you want. I have a hard time posting pictures here for some reason. I'm Angie Al Fakhouri on facebook I'll freind you.

Better go. I'm cold. Stay warm everyone and stay cool Debbie.
