Hi all.

Joy - Glad the wedding went well. Put your feet up for a few days before starting on your next project. How long will you have the doggie hotel? No sure we are going to be able to go to Alaska this year unless we could figure out the money to fly to Vancouver. My DH can't get away enough days to drive. Are you doing the 14 days, where you go up to Whittier and then stay on the ship and come back? It is cheaper for us to do that than to fly back from there. HAVE FUN!! Hope you post some pictures here of the wedding, so I can see them.

Nancy - I know what you mean about missing your parents. I really miss my mom, especially the month she died and when important events happen with my kids. I don't think it ever gets easier. My dad drives me nuts sometimes, but I'm hoping he's around for a long time. Please post pics of your cards!! I have those carts and need inspiration. I used the cart you sent me today to make some thank you cards!

Sharon - Sounds like you are having a good time with your friend!! I'm sure your family misses you too!

Sandra - Well I hope you got all your chores done. But remember to have some fun and enjoy your summer too! Sounds like you need crafting time!

Spent all day yesterday working on our yard. I'm so sore today. My DH and DS dug the grass out of our parking strip and we put in bushes and bark and changed the sprinklers there to a drip system. We live on a hill and the water pressure isn't great. Just couldn't keep it green, so we finally gave up. Hope the bushes don't die now. I'm worried they won't get enough water.

Hope everyone has a good day (tomorrow, as it is really late now).

Well I am still in Biloxi MS at the Beau Rivage casino. It is beautiful here, they have it decorated really nice with beautiful plants everywhere inside! We are going to drive over to Margaritaville Casino by here today too. Then tomorrow we are off to Pensacola FL for 2 days. We are staying at a Holiday Inn there, in the Penthouse Suite! We are all (me, Vicki & her husband Tony) very excited about that!

Can't believe it is hot here though, but not as hot as weather back in NJ this week. They have temps in the 90s & heat index of 100 or more this week! I thought it would be hotter in MS or FL. crazy weather up there for sure!

Don't think I posted that my friend Vicki got patted down at Philadelphia Airport too! She went through that body scanner thing & they saw something in or on her hand. Now she was holding her boarding pass & it had a staple in it, so she is thinking it was that. But anyway, they swabbed her hands for explosives, then took her to a separate room to pat her down thoroughly! I wasn't allowed to go with her even. lol She just laughed about it, just our luck. lol

I wish I could put my feet up and rest for a few days, but that won't happen any time soon.

We take DH's brother to the airport in a couple of hours, then home to pack and head camping first thing in the morning. I am not really looking forward to camping. It is so much work to get ready, then tons of laundry when I get home. And I still have to cook and do dishes. That is why I LOVE cruises!

My dad's 5th wheel had some major water issues. The water tank fell off. DH was working on it yesterday, and didn't get home until 2 a.m. this morning! I am SO TIRED this morning. Just not enough rest lately.

I am loving those swing cards, but I do not have Art Philosophy, so will have to figure out another cart to use for the rest of the card.

Shelly, we are doing 14 day, leaving from Vancouver and then back. I really don't know where all we stop, but I know the turn-around is in Anchorage. The only excursion we have booked is a train ride in Skagway.

Sharon, DH got patted down a couple of years ago. He calls it a free massage!!!

I don't know when I will be back on. Take care, my friends. Type to you all later!

Just got in from a nice bike ride. It rained all morning and part of the afternoon today, then the sun came out and it was a lovely evening. When dh & I were walking yesterday we discovered the city had poured a pathway around a so-called lake in our subdivision. So we went to check it out this evening, they are stil working on it but I think it will be lovely when it's all done. We even discovered we had a 2nd lake back thereBigGrin!

Sharon: hope you win some big $$$ at the casino. Glad your machine and cartridges arrived. Enjoy the rest of your holiday

Joy: have fun camping

Shelley: hope your bushes make out ok. Take care of those aching muscles.

Tomorrow I'm off to the dentist with mom. Have to remember to take my Kobo with me.
Off to watch the Amazing Race Canada...anxious to see where all they go to.

Take care everyone.

Joy... If you cut the Swing Cards some of the shapes are in the Artiste cart and some in the Art Philos. But you probably have other carts with those shapes. If you go to "Obsessed with Scrapbooking" web site she shows all the shapes for the swing card and where to find them.

I zipped out so many once I found the coordinating shapes. It is nice when you use cardstock printed on both sides. I will post them tonight after Abigail leaves.

Sandra.. glad you enjoyed your bike ride

Joy.. put those feet up you deserve a rest

Shelly.. I bet your yard looks awesome now nice that the faily helps out

Sharon.. good luck at the casino's

Angie.. I bet you are out shopping for crafts LOL enjoy

Well it is another humid hot day you can't even go outside. We couldn't wait for summer now it is here and everyone is complaining about the humidity and the 92 deg. weather.

I think my DH is missing the pool although when it is this hot the water would be hot also.

Abigail is so cute running around the house she loves walking I do to less picking her up..

I just order about 99 photo's holy cow I didn't realize I was this far behind. I eliminated a lot.

My Crafty friend came over yesterday morning and she brought all the cards she has been making. When I met her she only used beigh or vanilla cardstock and I introduced her to color cardstock and paper so she became I SU demo person and her first order she bought all the solid cardstock and patterned paper that all goes together. So no more guess work she said I opened a whole new world for her. Boy she has really come a long way. She must have stamped 40 cards so pretty.

We are so different because she loves her stamping I love my cricut.

Well have a great day all

Good morning!

I spent the last two days working on thank you cards for my second daughter for her baby showers. Probably would have been cheaper to buy them! She's due Aug 3. They think her tailbone is broken or out of joint. She can't get comfortable. Her husband just got a new job yesterday as a corrections officer at the county jail. He will start the Police Academy on Aug 5th, so the Dr. MIGHT induce her on July 29th so they can have some days before he starts. She went to the Dr. today, and he is sending her to a chiropractor. She is in so much pain. It hurts me to watch her walk.

Joy - That is the same cruise intinerary we were looking at, only the Coral Princess. Unfortunately, DH can't get away for that long. I'm sad, I really wanted to go and get away. I know what you mean about cruising is much better than camping. But hope you have a good time camping anyway. Once you get packed and there, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Nancy - Hope you get some relief from the heat soon. We are having hot weather, but not the humidity. I think that makes it worse. We are having lots of thunderstorms, which we usually don't have till August. One of my DD's basements flooded after a downpour Saturday. Neighbors helped them dry it out.

Sandra - Hope all goes well at the dentist with your mom!

Sharon - Have fun!

All the cards were made with CTMH paper and cardstock Floral is my favorite that was "Flirty"

Once you make 1 sw2ing card it goes fast. Off to play

Shelly you must be getting tired of making the Thank You cards. When I made DD Baby Shower Cards I used the Imagine and I layered it all. That was a mistake postage was more I sent out 50 invites.

Enjoy the evening/day everyone

Nancy - I love your cardsLove I have those carts. I went and looked at the website. I wish I could get all those stamps to go with the carts, but I'm going to try some anyway. I need to make a card for a close friend's birthday tomorrow. Found out she has saved every card I have made for her.

Sandra - Glad the dentist appt. for your mom went well. Don't you love how it turns into an all day event though. Hope you get all your cleaning done fast so you will have more time to craft.

Hope everyone has a great day. I guess I better go get started on a birthday card and run some errands.

(I'm still getting the security imageMad)

It's weird but sometimes I get the security image & sometimes I don't. Not sure why. I just posted in the Circle Chat board & had a security image, now posting here & no security image. Very strange.

I am now in Pensacola Beach FL with my BFF Vicki & her hubby Tony. Having a nice time. Went down to the beach this morning, but only stayed for about 3 hours & then I was sweating & too hot, so came back to the room.

Vicki is a definite beach/sun person, she wasn't even breaking a sweat & laying in the full sun! LOL

Our room is amazing. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in the penthouse suite! It is really pretty views with floor to ceiling windows & a private little patio with table & chairs & a couple of loungers. Really nice.

Me & Vicki got up this morning & watched the sun rise & took lots of photos. So will end up doing a layout for sunrise, one for sunset, one for the suite (took lots of photos) & then a few other layouts too. lol

Been a fun trip, but man I am missing my hubby & my girls! Looking forward to getting back.

Sharon ...glad you are enjoying yourselfBigGrin

Shelly.. they are so easy to make now that I know some shapes are on other carts..

Sandra..glad you had a nice day
Today was a very hectic day.. DH had bought a 2012 Honda CRV it only had 20,000 miles on it and he noticed the tires were wearing down back in March so he went back to the dealer they gave him 2 new front tires they also couldn't believe the wear and tear on the tires!!

So when they replaced the two tires DH asked and said did you balance the tires and do a wheel alignment they said yes. Well 3000 miles later 2 front tires worn down he calls goes back to the dealer and the manager is looking it over and then looked over the paper work and said the guy that changed your tires didn't do the balanceing or the wheel alignment he said we will give you 2 new tires which they did on Monday but he said come back Wed. at 8am we will do the balancing and the wheel alignment.. so now I have to get up at 6:30am to get ready and follow him to the dealership DH said we might as well go out for breakfast we did then he said lets go to Walmart I needed a couple of things for the baby then I said hold cow I have to go bowling I just made it in on time. I couldn't believe how fast the time went from 7:15 on the road to almost 11am. Then after bowling went to pick up the car and finally came home by 3:30pm and I am tired.

I thought I would do some crafting but when I am this tired it just pays to go rest and watch TV.

Have a good night/day all

Another lovely warm day here today...thank goodness for air conditioningBigGrin! Well, you guys won't believe this but today I decided to wash my curtains and windows and clean the blinds. Got the curtains washed and dried, pull them out of the dryer and there's a huge tear in one of the living room drapes! They were here when we bought the house and they're just a cotton so I think they're just rotten. First I thought of just shortening them and making a valance but dh didn't like that idea. There is a blind there now, so I guess I will have to either get some new ones or just leave it at the blind.

Shelly: hope you got your cards and errands all done

Sharon: look forward to seeing some photos of your trip...it sounds lovely

Nancy: sounds like you had a busy day, hope your bowling went well. I know what you mean about being tired, I think that will be my plan for tonite also.

Joy: hope your camping trip is going well

Take care everyone

(I've still been getting the security code also)

Nancy - Sounds like a busy day. Amazing how time goes by when you're busy. We have needed tires on our car, but DH keeps putting it off. Well today, one tire was low, so I went to our car repair place and they said it couldn't be fixed, so I chased all over for DH trying to get the best deal. Hate car repairs. Rest up, and have a relaxing day tomorrow.

Sandra - That is so sad about your drapes! Hope you can find some new ones that you like!

Sharon - Glad you are having a good time.

I found this card on Pinterest. It is done with Art Philosophy. I really like how it turned out. Would have liked it better without the ribbon on the bottom, but I had to hide a mark and the one online had this, so I added it.

Several years ago my mom gave me her bathroom rugs to wash they literally came apart in the wash I said mom how old are these rugs? she said never mind!!

right now at 5:10pm it is a roaring 95 deg. our air has been running and running. Little Ms. Abigail finally went down for her nap at 3pm.

She loves walking all around the house and roaming one minute she is in the kitchen next minute gone!! She always winds up in my craft room LOL I wish I had her energy. Truthfully I like her walking now I am not bending picking her up.

They say heavy storms this weekend we have our yearly Pond Tour usually it is always hot but if it is this hot nobody will go.

Abigail had her first chicken sandwich today she isn't too crazy about breads, bagels but loves the meat. DD bought all natural chicken and cheese no preservatives.

Well let me go for now I hope everyone enjoys their evening/day

Nancy - I just opened the link and the pictures opened. I don't know what is going on. Some days I haven't been able to open pictures and then the next time I can. Sorry it is so hot for you! The humidity makes it so bad. We have had about 10 days of 100 or above heat, but we don't have the humidity at least! As Abigail gets bigger, she will get faster at getting away from you and knowing exactly where she shouldn't be! Have fun with her!

DH had the day off today and we have spent the whole day running errands, and unfortunately spending money on unfun things! Has to be done though unfortunately. Has been nice spending time with just my husband for a change. My kids have been around all the time lately and seems like we never have time to just talk. So it has been a very nice day.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

DH and I headed off for our evening walk, but had to cut it short due to a rainshower. It turned out to be a short one, we are really starting to need some rain again as it's been so warm/hot! Went and got my nails fixed up today, they were really starting to look awful after all my cleaning. Troy is off for a w/end training camp, he comes back Sun. after lunch. Will have enough time to do his laundry and then take him back to his house.

Shelly: glad you got some dh time today

Nancy: hope you get a bit of reprive from the heat soon. The humidity makes it worse

Have a good w/end everyone. Tomorrow we are off to visit my cousin and his crafty wife. I think her and I will be hitting some scrapbooking shopsBigGrin!

Take care everyone

Shelly nice that you had some time with your DH...

Sandra... it must be nice to take walks I miss walking...

Well the reason it has been so hot in my house is because the air condition one of the lines froze do too much much Freon in the lines so now today they are coming with special equipment to remove the extra Freon.

I knew something wasn't right and I kept calling the company we actually had to put a air conditioner in our window to cool down the house.!!

So now hopeing that will fix it. Brand new condenser never had so many problems..

Have a great day everyone

Well I am home... yay!

Another hot day in NJ. 83 right now, but feels like 87 with the humidity. Meant to get up in the 90s again so heat index around 100 yet again.

I have my artbooking cartridge sitting here, so hoping I can play with that later today or tomorrow!

But need to empty my suitcase & do laundry later. Bleuch!

Hi all. Home from camping for a day. Jill has a 10 year class reunion dinner tonight. Then back up after church tomorrow and home for good on Tuesday. I took a bath the minute I hit the door. I felt SO dirty. It is really dusty where we are camping. It is not where we wanted. If we were where we like to park, we have cell and 3G service, but that spot was taken.

Nick is covered with sap. I don't know where he found so much.

Megan and Brandon have posted a few cute beach pics from their honeymoon. They will be home on Tuesday, also.

Shelly, I loved your cards!

Nancy, I loved yours, too. I have Artiste, but not Art Philosophy, so I will have to go looking for matching cuts for the swing cards.

Sandra, a few years ago I tried washing my drapes, and doggone, I shrank them! Laugh The ones I shrank went on our patio sliding door. We went with vertical blinds there. I would like to get rid of the living room drapes but DH loves them.

I opened in Firefox so I could see pictures. I do have security codes.

I had to say good bye to second furbaby, my beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, this week. My heart is still breaking, but I know it was best for him. I just miss him so much. I'm remembering all the wonderful times we had together, not the last few weeks of cleaning up accidents and carrying him up and down the stairs. Here's a pic of him as a puppy, taken a short while after we brought him home.

Joy, beautiful pics! Your daughter looks amazing, so pretty.

Bugsy, so sorry for your loss. The love of a pet is so tough. I still miss my cat 'blue' so very much. Oh & King Charles Spaniels are one of my favorite breed of dogs, they are so cute. So very sorry. :(

Joy... wow those dresses are so pretty and your daughter's gown is very pretty I wish I could have seen it up close. I know the last time I mentioned your are a great seamstress boy luck for the girls.. the colors were very pretty

Bugsy2...; ahhhhh so sorry for your lose he was so cute...Think of the good and funny things your little one did. sending hugs your way

Well we started out on our yearly pond tour their were 5 locations to go one was all the way out East of me at least 1 1/2 hour or more drive we skipped that one and instead went to the second one which was a little less then 1 hour. My friend I haven't seen in about 6 yrs.
she has 1 acre of property when she bought her house 20 yrs. ago if was all trees now she has every flower and bush you can imagine a big Koi pond. But so may pretty stone trails to walk thru all thru her property. it was amazing I said how do you keep it all up she said she works in the yard all year round everyday. A lot of up keep I don't know how she does it.

Then we went to a new Garden Nursery that just went partners with a Koi man from Japan and has set up all pools of different Koi fist they start in price at 65.00 and up one fish was $12,000.00 all white it was ok I prefer color...

it was so hot they served a nice lunch with ice cold beverages... then I said I give up I was ready to come home.

Couldn't do the last 2 ponds the heat just got to me...

I would have liked to go to the last house this owner is an Attorney and has spent thousands of dollars on his ponds 2 big ones. Plus he has an assortment of very expensive one of a kind cars. One car can't spell it a Laborgini 1 of a kind the Anniversary addition it was gorgous what colors he said an easy 1.2 million for the car. So I am glad I got to see it.

Well I am going to jump in a nice cold shower
Have a good evening
