Hello all, I am getting pretty excited about our vacation tomorrow. I hope we have good weather when we go to Yosemite National Park.BigGrin

I am also thrilled that we are keeping this challenge going on a volunteer basis. I wish we could attract more people, if you have any friends that make cards tell them to come on by and join us. This challenge will help you improve your card making (it did mine) and your creativity.
It looks like so far we have volunteer hostess through August 27th.
Here is what I have read on here ThumpUp ThumpUp
Ladybugjett will host July 17th - 30th
Turtlebug will host July 31 - August 13th
NanaDonna will host August 14th - 27th

YEAH, now all the rest of you have plenty time to plan and give hosting a try it really
is easy.
Speak up if you want to hostBigGrin Wink

OK, got my #4 done have to take pictures and get it posted.

So sorry Lisa that I could not get all the cards done before we leave but
at least I got 2 of them done.
Here is my #4
All papers are CTMH Dakota Paper pack, plus I used the coordinating foil stickers that match the paper. The barbed wire, swirly strip down the side and the star are all the stickers.
I cut the label from the Artiste cartridge and stamped it with a CTMH stamp that matches
that shape. I also cut a star to mount the foil sticker on TFL

Nana Donna.....Very bright and pretty #1 card. I like the pink with the blues and the matching butterflies. Your #4 card is great...very bold and strong - a perfect male card. Good cuts and embellishments.

Turtlebug...yes, I experimented on the flower by snipping the edges with a scissor. Thanks for the Font explanation. A few look familiar - the others don't. I've kept the list to check later.

Bingolady....I finally got to see your card, but I couldn't enlarge it to see the details up close. It's a pretty and cheerful Christmas card. Like the paper and the sticker.

I'll be back later with a card to post.

Ladybugjett....sometimes it's hit-or-miss when it comes to seeing the photos that have been "attached." I've had the problem for months now, but on your photo it had the little red X in corner. I'm not sure why that happens. Have you thought of using Photobucket to post them? It seems to work well.

This is my card for sketch #4 and it also uses the ad colors again and the extra credit. The stamp is from My Favorite Things and most of the papers are from a paper stack by MME called "Moments." I also tried the 3-D method, which is more "evolved" than just stacking the pieces. Unfortunately, I didn't do well with the "outlining" and there's no time to do it over as it's going in the mail right now.

Ladybugjett, I can see your card now, for some reason when it has a red
X I am not able to see the cards. I like the circles with faces on them.
Are the faces stickers, anyway it came out so cute.

Dee, I just love the images you use on your cards. They are so cute.

Hello ladies

I haven't been very good at my hosting duties this week or even get a chance to get any of my cards done...just was reminded that I have scrapbook class tonight so hopefully tomorrow night I will get a chance to get a few done.

I went through one of my tubs of paper last night and couldn't find anything I liked...anybody else have that problem? Another tub to go through tonight so hopefully I can find something.

Kiethann, wow, wow , you got them all done. They came out awesome.
I espcially like the Xmas one. And the one with the tree and the BFS,
is the tree a cut from a cart, like the way it came out.

Way too hot to go outside. Stayed in my craft/scrapbook room most of the day with the fan blowing on me. I even managed to "straighten" up my scrapbook/craft room some.

Thank you BingoLady for your compliments. The butterflies are made with an EK three in one butterfly punch. One day I took a lot of my scraps into the front room and punched out several variations of the butterflies from solid colors of cardstock. I used the Heritage cricut cartridge to cut out the tree....row one third one over. cut it at 5 inches. All of the papers, cardstock etc came from my scraps box. Even the ribbons where from my scrapbox!

Sometimes I would start a card and then not be happy with one or two of the items I had chosen for the card and I would just add them to my scrapbox.

I hope the pictures are large enough for everyone to see. I have to resize them before I can add them to the posts.

Keithann...Great cards, each special in it's own way. I really like how you used the Ad Colors. When you resize them just save them a little bigger and don't attach them until the end. Mabe that will help.

I had wanted to post another Ad Color this morning, but Photobucket wouldn't let me upload anything. I was going to choose the theme of "White on White." So anyone who wants to tackle it, please do.

I have a feeling that I will off-line for at least a few days until I get these computer problems worked out. I have someone scheduled to help me tonight, so wish me luck. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what the next step will be.

Hi everyone, haven't disappeared just busy finishing a queen size quilt for next week. Almost done then I can get back to making cards.

I must say that all the cards posted here are amazing, what is unique is when you get the same sketch to work from is how everyone's cards are so different. Keep up the great work.

I will try and post a some cards before the 16th. Thanks for not giving up on me....lol

Hey girls,

Aack! So, I volunteered to host for the first time after being on and off here for years. And, well I've been asked to help out with Scout camp next week and I won't have internet access. I'm so sorry. Would someone else who is in line to host be able to switch with me, please?

Hello ladies

Uhhhggg that stupid code thing. Sometimes after they work on the board it just creates more problems than there already is.

Got 2 sketches done and hate the circle one so will be redoing it. Driving me crazy...I needed bday cards so picked these sketches because thought they would make nice cards and so far I have yet to pick out any paper I like and just seem to be on a creative block all of a sudden.

Sketch #2...intended for my daughter's bday with her favorites of purple, turquoise, and zebra print but just not sure yet.

Cartridge:
Celebrations (present cut at 5)

Sketch #1...nothing would work with what I had pictured in my mind.
Cuttlebug: Circles and the flourished circles (?).

sketch #2

sketch #1

Ladybugjett

I think everybody is on vacation this week. I am still keep hitting roadblocks on my own sketches.

If you don't mind go ahead and post early...if you would rather save them and wait for a little more participation I would gladly just throw a few more sketches up this week.

Hi....I'm trying to post using my "very neglected" iPad but I'm having a problem because the type is so small and I'm not sure how to make it bigger. My computer CRASHED big time. I picked up a "malware" from one of the blogs I went to and now everything is frozen. We are considering getting a new computer as this one is quite old.

I did finish the rest of the sketches, and I even made one white on white. I'm caught up now except for posting the photos, which I hope to figure out tonight.

I hope all those on vacation are having fun and enjoying good weather.

Does anyone use an Apple computer?

Putting up a few more sketches sounds OK to me. You can also pick the colors or I'll pick one. Maybe by then I'll be able to post photos. LOL

Thanks, Dee

OMG. This is the first time in years that I've seen the security code. That's enough to discourage anyone from posting!

hopefully Dee you will be able to get your pictures posted...been a lonely week on the boards with the vacations. Hopefully all three of them are enjoying themselves.

I will just post a couple sketches on Tuesday night to keep the board going...maybe I will have better luck with some new ones. I was planning on a trip to Michaels yesterday for some new paper for inspiration but never made it...back to my buckets again, lol.

This security code is awful. I had a little while back but only for a day and then it was gone...hopefully it goes away soon as it is very discouraging.

Sorry don't have apple computer.

Lisa, thank you, thank you, thank you. Things were so rushed trying to leave for camp that I totally forgot to post early Sunday. I'm on my phone in my tent right now, too hard to actually post sketches.
