Can anyone help me with my Cricut Expression 2, it is cutting all the way through when I'm cutting vinyl and the Iron on stuff. All of the setting are right but its still going all the way through and its a pain to iron on or stick some when it goes all the way. Please any suggestions? Thank you!

When looking at your blade housing... Is the black triangle pointing straight out?
Do you have it set on 3?

There is a "kiss cut" pre programed but may default to other settings.

When you cut, look to verify your pressure is also on 3 on the screen.

It sounds strange to me that you have a machine actually cutting through.
Most of the E2 models I have worked with need to have higher settings to match the settings of the reg Expression.

If these settings still cut through, you will need to lower the numbers in a combo that works for your machine. (2's INSTEAD OF 3's)

With my E2, I need to use the 2's when kiss cutting vinyl. Any time your machine is cutting too deep, obviously you need to lower the blade number to get a less deep cut. Hope this helps you with your vinyl. It's so fun to work with! BigGrin

Yes arrow is out and I have tried every setting..... I will use 2 first then it wont cut at all so then I try it again with the 3s then it goes all the way through. Its wasting more material then anything!

Until you find the right settings for your Cricut, cut a small test shape in the corner of your piece of vinyl so you won't waste it.

If 2 doesn't cut but 3 cuts all the way through, adjust the pressure. Maybe a higher pressure with 2 or a lower pressure with 3 will be the magic numbers.

What type of vinyl are you using? I find that when i use Matte i need everything at 3, but when i do glossy vinyl i need the blade on 2 or it will cut thru. I'm using Oracal vinyl.

Hi,
I have the same issue with vinyl using my ES2. 3/3 is too deep, 2/3, 2/2, 3/2 doesn't always cut the whole image.
I am using circuit vinyl. I wonder if I should use other vinyl paper instead?

Hello, Here is a link to the directions to use the vinyl with the Expression 2: http://content.provocraf...structions1FEnglish.pdf. Please make sure you are using a regular blade housing.
