BingoLady and Lisa, Thank you, thank you, thank you for stepping up for me. My week at scout camp was hot, tiring, and fun. I got to help by being a "victim" in the lifesaving merit badge and was "rescued from drowning many, many times." I hope to craft soon and make the wonderful sketches you posted, BingoLady.

My hubby bought me vinyl for my birthday two weeks ago to start playing with. So, right before I left, I made myself a water bottle. The fleur-de-leis and the jacks are from Don Juan. Please excuse the messy craft table.

LadyJett,
Thanks for letting me know, I have cleaned out my PM inbox.Smile

Your water bottle is very creative, good way to use the vinyl, like the color of it, Mrs. Jett!

Wishing you a belated birthday, hope you celebrated in a big and fun way!

Hello ladies

Lunch is over but I am posting anyways and will be back after work (only 7 more hours to go, lol).

Keeping with the theme of boys birthdays, lol

My sketch #1...maybe for my nephew.

Cartridges: A child's year cut at 2"
Old west...barbwire cut at 1 (I had to cut 4 and "joined" them together so that I would have the little point things (??) at the bottom too.

Cuttlebug: Not sure of the name of the file...something with branches (wish I would have thought to write the names on them like I do now).

Yeah got my last card done.
Sorry not Cricut on this one. The papers are all from a new paper pack from CTMH that
is called Laughing Lola. I love the colors and papers in this pack.
The "happy birthday" was cut using my other machine. Tried to make my own vertical happy birthday in CCR and it just did not work out right. The black & white strip along the left side is Washi TapeLaugh trying to remember to use it now and then

Now off to work on a vinyl floating frame I am going to make for my daughter.

WOW!! Really slow on here this week! Everyone must be relaxing in some cool breezey resort on an island somewhere!LOL LOL

LisaW.
#1 - So cute for your DN, is he a cowboy?? The barbwire is the perfect strip cut for this card and the little Roper silhouette is so cute, right down to his boot spurs, gotta love the YEE! HAW!!

NanaDonna
#3 - LOVE that plaid paper and color combo. I had no trouble slanting the HB'day on the CCR for Joey's friend's birthday card, could it have been cause we used different Fonts? Is that Washi tape on the left or a border cut, the colors match just right? Like the use of cord instead of ribbon, nice change. Great guy card, too!

Will work on my #3 and Shape cards and hope to get them posted later tonight.

OK, I thought I would share with all of you the project that I was working on for my daughter. It is called a floating frame as it is just 2 pieces of glass and no back to it. All the words are cut out of vinyl, which is brown and pink. Michele (my daughter) found this saying over a year ago and wanted me to make her something out of it, so I finally did. She does not know that I did it.

This project gave me all kinds of fits.Crying Crying Confused First when I went to take the glas out of the frame it slipped and fell onto my desk and BOTH pieces of glass broke.Scared Scared Scared OhMyGod Luckily I had another one here for another project I am going to do.
Then when I was cutting out the vinyl my blade dragged across a couple of letters and cut them across, I was able to save themThumpUp After everything I am thrilled with how it came out. TFL

NanaDonna,
WOW!! Your Floating Frame is so awesome! Love the font you used and very creative to put it on glass. It makes the eye go right to the saying without any other bells and whistles to distract from it. Michele will love it and she WILL be surprised. You did exceptional work on it!!ThumpUp

Donna , what a wonderful job you did on the frame. She is going to
love it. I love the sentiment, yes you don't know how much love your
heart holds, until you see those little faces, looking at you and
asking Nana for a cookie.Love

sketch #3 is giving me fits...after 3 differnet sets of patterned paper and ideas that just wouldn't work out I have a new set of supplies ready to go tonight after work.

Daughter's bday and since we cannot afford to do anything we are having game night so not sure I can squeeze in my sketch but gonna try. Picking up more hours with my second job so might be a little harder to find "me time" for a little bit.

What older cartridges do you suggest for a shape card...I don't know that I have any besides hello kitty. Don't have DS or CCR.

Wonderful cards this week.

Getting back online is taking me much longer than expected. Nana Donna, can you please take over doing the colors for the next several weeks? Thanks. I tried to send you an IM but I couldn't see how to do it on the iPad.

Thanks, Dee

Lisa,

I don't do many shaped cards but, here's an idea. My very first "shaped" card was lips from Don Juan held together with a brad so that it slid open using the brad as a pivot point. I just used the blackout feature for the back. I'm sure you could adapt that to different shapes.

I finished this card last night but it was late and I had to wait for it to dry. Am going to work on my Extra Credit Shape card now, but have NO idea what I want to do!

My Sketch Card #3:
Celebrate - Celebrations cart
Embossing - Cuttlebug "Modern Wallpaper" folder
Border Strip - I used my "We R Memory Keepers" faux stitch tool then threaded black yarn through every two holes and then added Black Enamel Accents to the third hole markings. I inked the edges of the white panels with black Staz-on ink for diminsion.
Not too happy how it turned out, I didn't cut the plaid paper along the lines very evenly, so it appears lop-sided.Sad
[color=green]TFLL!!

lisa, one of my favorite cart is Animal Kingdom. If you have it, it would be
nice. But i'm sure any cut you decide to make will come out nice.

Ladybugjett, the lip cut is nice, I have it and never have used it.
Great idea to use for Valentines day.

Turtlebug, your # 3 cut is nice, I like the way you threaded the yarn
on the white panel.

BingoLady, thanks again for posting the sketches for me! They are wonderful and original. My younger son used to be dino crazy and had lots of dino stamps. I went looking for them today and can't find them. I hope they aren't lost forever. Your dino card reminds me of Jurassic Park in 3D, I like your colors in your "Hi" card, the squirrel is absolutely darling.

NanaDona, thanks for posting the colors, so fun. I love your dino! Your all white card was very inspiring, which you will see when I post mine, like the flowers on the flower card, the mitten is very cute, and the birthday card is totally groovy.

TurtleBug, cool use of feathers, nice white card, cute chicken and love the chicken coop texture, flower card is pretty, and your black and white card is very eye-catching.

Lisa W, cool clock ribbon, I like your thank you card, but, my fav is the cowboy card! That is awesome!

My Extra Credit Shape Card:

#1 Hand - Don Juan Cartridge
Thanks LadyJett for mentioning to Lisa this cart and giving me the inspiration to check out my Don Juan cart for an image and found this cut!
I used the "Flip" key on CCR to make a right and left hand and then welded them at the thumbs to create a card, Then I cut another left hand to glue on the outside.
#1 Hand Cardstock - Me & My Big Ideas "#1 Fan" Foil stack
Sentiment - Plantin Schoolbook cart:
I tried to use the shadow key on CCR be couldn't figure out how, so I welded the original(red one)and made the shadow (welded blue one)a bit larger, which didn't match too good, so I left it anyway and misted it with "Super Russet" Pearl Ex.
TFLSmile!!

This is the inside:

The score card and sentiment are computer-generated which I cut out using my round Spellbinder and I mounted it on chipboard for dimension.I inked the inside, the all white looked too Blah!

those cuts, and never used them. It came out nice, great idea on coloring
the inside.

Ladyjett, great cards, great use of the buttons. And the little bear

I did it...made my first shape card in the ad colorsBigGrin

I cut the border feature and then "flipped it" and cut another. On the side I scored a little section and then glued them together so I could make it stand up.

Cartridges: Doodlecharms...border feature cut at 4" and then "flipped" and cut again.
Create a Critter...sweet cut at 1-1/2 inches.

Cuttlebug: Swiss Dots
Swirls
