Hello all.... I have entered a scrapbooking challenge on a facebook site. I am to alter a charger plate and send it to another member and, in turn, will receive one from someone else in our list. Having never done charger plates before and not really experienced in vinyl was wondering if any of you have done one. The person selected for me seems to decorate in a Christian theme and I thought I would try a Christmas plate with a religious theme. Any ideas / files would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....

Hi Melinda, The way I get some of my ideas is to Google what I want to look at. I just Googled "Cricut charger plate" clicked on images and now I want to decorate some too. Have fun with your project. Fran

What would we do without Google!

Here is a link to a Google image search for Christmas vinyl charger plates

That will have some great ideas for you - but note that a lot of the designs are not Cricut based (you won't find a cartridge for that particular cut) - but it will give you ideas!

Here are two I made (one last year and one recently). Of course, the welcome one is not religious but just showing an example of what can be done. I keep this one in my guest room. The nativity one I made last year and am thinking of adding words to it this year.

Joy (Obsessed with Scrapbooking)made a charger plate today with the new cart ARTBOOKING. I was so inspired that I had to do my own. I love this little deer. Again, I may add some words before Christmas.

Thanks so much for the charger plate ideas. Southern Vintage - your plates are so pretty! And I don't know how I missed Joy's I usually get all her blog posts. Will have to hunt her down - ha! Just got my plate and some embellishments. Hope to finish it this weekend. Thanks again!

Beautiful plates! What cartridge did you use for the Christmas plate?

Jump on in...so much fun and you can be as simple or elaborate as you want. (I've gone both ways.) These also make great inexpensive gifts.
Just have fun with them!BigGrin
