I have had my expression 2 for a year now and have been using it with craft room. Yesterday I updated the firmware and now my computer does not see it. I have put in the drivers, updated windows XP, have tried 3 different cords, have tried all the USB ports on computer, have uninstalled and reinstalled everything. It just doesn't seem to have the drivers. Is there somewhere I can go and manually put in drivers? Also I have a laptop with windows 7 and it has never been able to see cricut.
Really baffled, don't know what to try next.

Other than the Help menu in CCR I don't know of anywhere else you can get the drivers.

Have you tried exiting out of your anti-virus program? It's possible it could be blocking Cricut Sync.

I just updated my firmware last week and have not had a problem with it. I know a few times the cable seems to be loose and I just move it around until it connects again. I had a separate window come up and that is where the drivers downloaded. A message comes up after the drivers are downloaded telling you to restart the computer. I waited for the update to finish in Cricut Sync and then I restarted the machine.
