I would like to join. be back tomorrow to answer questions.
please don't be afraid to ask Gwynne if you have any questions for me. I try to get on here daily now.

1. Do you prefer cutesy; gory; childish; vintage; spooky/creepy but not gory; or other style of Halloween?
spooky/creepy maybe a little gory but not to gory
2. Do you send Halloween cards to family members?
no
3. Do you have a favorite candy bar?
I have a few favorites I like twix and milky way
4. Do you have a favorite Halloween treat or snack?
maybe caramel popcorn
5. Do you do Halloween layouts?
yes from when my son was younger and I could get him to dress up
6. Do you decorate for Halloween?
I try to at home just depends on my ambition but I am a school bus aide and I love to decorate my bus for halloween. the kids seem to really get a kick out of it.
7. List a few inexpensive crafting items you would love to receive to add to your stash of supplies.
atg refills(1/4 inch), any stickles I do not already have(please not ice stickles), glimmer mist, distress reinkers( any color I don't have), alcohol inks
8. Would you find stamped images of Halloween useful? And/or Diecuts?
die cuts would be great. I can laminate die cuts and use them in my bus.
9. Please try to suggest some non-Halloween small projects/craft items you would enjoy receiving or some techniques you would enjoy to see on a home-made project.
I kinda like steampunk but haven't seen it much so I would be good with something to do with steampunk.
10. Have you been drooling over all the new Tim Holtz products coming out recently for Halloween? Or are you a Tim Holtz fan?
I love alot of tim holtz products haven't had a chance to see whats new and up coming.

TO the new swappers:

On this MB forum we have a special thread started called The Master Questionnaire, which are several questions for you to copy and paste and answer on that thread. (Not on this thread please)

JeanP found it and posted to bring it back to the first page for you to easily find it.

So if you plan on swapping regularly, you may find it helpful to fill that out. Or, I should say, that your partners will find it a useful tool for them to learn about you.

Then, once you post, make note of your page number and post number so that you can then edit your personal profile and add it under your avatar.

Just look at any of ours and you will see how we list the coordinates under our avatar.

Any questions, just ask for help!

Us veteran swappers should probably take some time to review ours and update before the holiday swaps get in full swing too.

I have everyone's mailing addresses, so thank you all so much for being prompt on forwarding that info to me.

Time to get all excited about the good coupons that will be available this weekend at the craft stores! should be some 50% ones, for sure.

If I end up with a quiet day over the long weekend, I just may hop in car and make a trip to the craft stores further away, to check them out. The ACMoore closest to me has pretty much quit stocking anything new in the scrapbook world plus they have gotten rid of a lot of inventory that interests me. So I'm curious to see if it's all their stores or just this one in particular.

How can you get rid of TH dies, or spellbinder dies, etc.? And nothing in the new stuff out of the more popular brands...like TH. They either have a clueless manager or just don't care about their scrapbooking section this year.

Yes, I was thinking same thing...that it would help to know our SS before the holiday shopping coupons expire.

So I will try to assign Secret Sisters Friday evening, as long as I am home to do so. Otherwise, I'll try to do first thing Saturday.

Need to see who has not answered questions yet....

1. Do you prefer cutesy; gory; childish; vintage; spooky/creepy but not gory; or other style of Halloween? I prefer spooky/creepy not gory, vintage and classic!

2. Do you send Halloween cards to family members? Yes to my grandkids and nieces and nephews!

3. Do you have a favorite candy bar? Snickers or any kind of dark chocolate

4. Do you have a favorite Halloween treat or snack? Nothing specific to Halloween

5. Do you do Halloween layouts? Yes, when I get pictures

6. Do you decorate for Halloween? Yes!

7. List a few inexpensive crafting items you would love to receive to add to your stash of supplies. Atg tape, stickles, flowers, leafs or flower centers..I like to make flowers but always struggle with those two parts

8. Would you find stamped images of Halloween useful? And/or Diecuts? Yes to both

9. Please try to suggest some non-Halloween small projects/craft items you would enjoy receiving or some techniques you would enjoy to see on a home-made project. ATC cards never done them or really seen any in person. Of course any small Christmas items would be nice...tags, ornaments(maybe Timmy style), mini box, really open to anything. Julie nutting stamped card or tag...I have only seen them online.

10. Have you been drooling over all the new Tim Holtz products coming out recently for Halloween? Or are you a Tim Holtz fan? Love all things Timmy....love his new stuff and his old!

Look forward to this...it is going to be so fun!

I have sent each of you a short PM with your secret sister assignment and her mailing address.

Take a moment to print out or write down her addy and tuck it away where you won't forget it is! ha ha!

Remember!! This is Secret Sisters, so don't contact your SS to ask her questions!

Also, if I have assigned you a SS that you have just recently created for this summer, please let me know ASAP so I can try to do some switching around to give you a new experience.

Thanks all and let the spooktacular fun begin!

glad you filled it out. Now you need to go to "my profile" found at top of page under the Cricut icon. gray box....Logged in as __________ My profile; etc.

Click on My Profile.

Page changes and click on Edit Profile

Page changes and scroll down to "Location" and in that section is the line that reads some thing like "I live at". That is where you can type in your MQ page and post numbers.

If you look under my picture you can see how it is listed there for all to find the info quickly. All of us that have been swapping put that info on that line.

If you have any questions, just ask and we'll try to help you out.

Instead of making long posts, maybe you need to split them up into a bunch of little ones. LOL

well, or maybe you just need to keep editing one post, adding to the same post daily....so that you don't keep gaining more posts on me! lol

It's okay if you get to 4000 first! I'll just be sure to get to 5000 first instead!

Here's an afterthought about the treat bags:

I'm sure there will be some items that are maybe just too bulky to slide into a little treat bag or even a sandwich sized baggie....but you can certainly get creative with other bags or ways to present the item to your SS.

You can just wrap it in tissue paper or you could use a smaller gift bag or a lunch bag that you embellish or decorate with something Halloween themed, like stickers or a diecut or a Halloween border punch, etc. Or you might want to alter a little wooden coffin to use as the treat holder!

maybe a skeleton hand will hold the treat...

I'm sure there are all kinds of ideas out there in the dollar stores or general stores to help you out should your item not fit into a small treat bag!

And it's perfectly fine to think outside the box. Just remember it's all about sending a little bit of Halloween fun to your SS.

And I do hope you all will create some of the items using your Halloween themed crafting supplies, diecuts, stamps, etc. Creating and altering is so much fun!
