I took a good close up look at this cart in CCR - and I'm gonna pass on this one too. Primarily because it has soooooo many small intricate cuts that it would be a disaster in the making. The ONLY machine I would even attempt it on would be the Mini. It might have a fighting chance on a 12x12 scrapbook layout, but reduce it down to the size of an A2 card - I'd have a mess on my hands.

I'll wait until the reviews come out after a few brave souls try it out on their different machines.

Besides, if I remember correctly I think the Artbooking cart has several background cutouts. And the paper lace carts might also be similar (I'll have to check).

I like it -- and perfect for making masks for my Gelli plate!!

I cut this shape at just over 4 inches on my Imagine so I think I'll be fine with these shapes.

Sorry - I wasn't clear there! That is actually a cut I created in CCR but I just wanted to show that cutting intricate shapes like those in the new cart is possible from around that size. (I think it's a Paper Lace image welded together with itself 4 times).

A Gelli plate is a lot of fun! It's a way to make backrounds or prints from plain paper and acryic paints - and masks/stencils really help get some interesting results.

Here are some interesting samples: http://www.claritystamp....tion/Gelli-Plate-Gallery

But you can get so many different results... If you google Gelli plate or check it out in Pinterest you'll find some more lovely samples. It's great to just play around. Some things work - some don't - but it's all fun. :)

BigGrin Here is some helpful information anyone trying to order this cartridge from a JoAnn store or via joann.com. Hopefully the cartridge will appear on the joann.com website within the next couple weeks. For a shipping fee (based on the price of items) JoAnn stores will ship to customers w/in the same state of any store. They cannot ship across state borders. So if there is a store in your state, but not close to you, you can call that store and do a "special order". The SKU number is 12840849, which you will need to purchase the cartridge. You can also try calling joann.com customer service to see if you can order the cartridge before it appears on the website. Call 888-739-4120 and use the SKU # above. I was able to find the cartridge in my local store, but they had only 2 in stock. Hope this is helpful to others.
