Ok so I haven't linked my gypsy to CCR. I'm thinking I should just in case my Gypsy ever dies. Has anyone linked their's recently? If so, did you have any trouble? I don't want to link it and then have my gypsy crash on me!!! I'm so nervous about that! I haven't updated in probably over a year. I don't want to update either and then have it crash. I know I have to update before I can link to CCR. Anyone updated recently either?

Thanks!

I updated my Gypsy (hadn't been updated in over 2 years!) and linked with CCR and had no problems at all. The update took a while because it had been so long but it went very smoothly.

I know all too well how nervous you are.

If it were me, I would wait until monday - and before you start call PC so they can advise you on your computer operating system ( windows 7 or 8) and about the "exceptions" you might need to add to your antivirus and firewall, which prompts to follow if you're uplinking from CCR ....... and then after you go ahead and start the update, if it turns to crap you can call them back while they're still open and they will trouble shoot with you.

Honestly though, the last Gypsy/CCR linking update that PC released seems to be fairly stable. I think the vast majority of people have had no problems with the process. But it's always a shaky situation, so maybe play it safe and wait until customer service is open during the week?

No problems here...it just took a while since it had been a long time.

Finally linked mine last week. I had no problems and it went surprisingly fast considering I had not updated my G in over a year.
