Update-- 1 item is 1/2 done.
I have everything ready for another one and will work on that this weekend.
I have one last item that I think will be a buy.

So I am doing goodBigGrin

Just finished up one directive and I am a little nervous about it. I followed the directive but added my own spin to it. Hope _________ will like itBigGrin

Can we start with hints yet Gwynne or wait util after Thanksgiving?

Looks like everyone is having a fun time with this list.

Made it to dd's ok only bad weather was in PA on the way Saturday night. Now to see if they weather stays away so that we can get home on time. LOL The weather here in Maine seems to be better then the forecast back home. Oh well if I have to sacrifice and stay an extra day or two I think I can handle that.

I will be finishing up when i get home. Hoping to make it to Hobby Lobby while I am here.

Have a great week everyone. Off to pain dd's living area before Thursday. Wish us luck. Oldest gs 3 1/2 decided it would be more fun to stay home and help Grampy paint then go to school.

I get to be the first to post pics!

I'll be back once I open up my box!

Just want to take a minute to comment on how Roxana did a lovely job tagging each directive. She made numbered lightbulb shaped ornaments but also glued on the matching verse on the backside. Nice job! (which reminds me I still need to do my tags for my own box!)

Roxanna - thank you so much for a really, really nice and thoughtful Christmas swap box! I am very pleased with everything! Everything is totally personalized to my likes and/or my answers to the questions. Nice neat work too and nice paper used! Some of which I've never seen before and would love to have more of!

NO DIBBS!! And I especially am saying NO DIBBS on the candy and the felted and crochet leaves! I am hiding them as I don't trust Terri - she's apt to sneak in my house on her way back from Maine!

Now I took 32 pictures....so bear with me....as I need to post them all and give some explanations on a few. Positive comments from me. For someone that never swapped with me before, Roxanna did marvelous!

1. The brick tag - you probably can't tell in the picture but she made her own bricks! There is texture paste on each brick! It is so cool looking in real life! Makes my embossed folder tag look boring....
2. Very cute snowman gift bag! Of course my favorite color being red!
3. The sheet music background is not paper but material. Again, so cool looking in real life. And it's an altered post card! Now why haven't we thought to alter a postcard before??? We need to do that in a future swap...
4. Very nice wintry 8x8 LO pages!
5. Greenery item - These felted and crocheted holly leaves have got to be one of my all time favorite swap items every received. Reminds me of when I received the crocheted angel dresses from birdseye. I have a project that still needs an embellishment added to it and I've been struggling on how to finish it off....I just may be using one of these leaf sets! I'll be passing it forward, if so! Super cool idea!
6. I'm sure you can't tell in the picture but these cards have glimmer mist or something sparkly on them to qualify for the directive. This was a hard directive for Roxanna as TH stuff is not easy to find in Canada, but hey! don't worry about it....the felted leaves more then makes up for it! lol
7. Can you tell that I have a flickering votive in the luminary bag? Very pretty! and a great idea for this directive!

8. Star directive - very nicely made post-it note holders! I was thinking not too long ago that I should make some stuff for my daughter's desk at her office. Now I'm thinking I may give one of these to her! Perfect idea for her as she loves stars... Just passing it forward again!
9. Vintage Santa magnets! OMG! Roxanna hit this one on the nail for me! I love vintage Santas and my frig is plastered with pictures of all the kids as they all send me pics each Christmas to keep me updated on their growing up as they move on from here to school. These are so me!!!!
10. Treat! She made a lovely box to hold a very yummy toffee candy chocolate bark slab of pure heaven! another OMG!!!!! I'm drooling just thinking about it. I love my candy....I admit it.
When I first unwrapped it, I thought it was for the JOY directive (#17) as the word JOY is on the box she made...and I exclaimed to myself - what a perfect idea for the JOY directive - to send me some yummy candy - as that is certainly PURE JOY to me! lol But then I realized I had wrong directive...but still a great idea!
11. Wishlist items! Thank you! The three things I use daily and always need more of! Very generous too! Thank you again!
12. Reindeer - can you tell from the picture that the one reindeer is padded? HE's adorable! And she's certainly thinking of me and my DayCare kids with this idea! Plus some lovely reindeer coasters too. (Did you make them yourself? How did you indent the reindeer?)
13. Verse - Roxanna shared her most favorite ever verse and I love it too. SHe also included a bunch of verses for future projects. Anyone that knows me well here knows that I love verses!
14. Number project - I want this paper! It's so cool looking and it's plastic-y too. I just love it! I love the little vintage santa charm dangle found inside the purse too! I have made a bigger gift bag similar to this purse folding technique and I think I recently saved this purse tutorial in my word files. Now that I've seen this purse made up in person....I'll be making it for someone! It's way too cute! You did a super job on it too!
Thank you so much!

15. gift card holders! Thank you! I need these this year for gift cards I've bought to hand out this year....
16. I'm sure this picture does not do justice to this Christmas card! The colors are so pretty! I absolutely love everything about it - including the inside embellishment too! I love the word "Believe" but you had no way of knowing that!
17. Now this Joy item is pure Joy too! It's a mini album and not a style I've seen before. (Have you made this one before Candy? You can't have this one though...) I need the tutorial for it please! And again, this paper is AWESOME in real life! I tried taking a few pictures but you really can't appreciate the layers to this wallet style mini. It's just awesome!
18. Favorite carol idea - this is too funny! Can you read her little note on the crocheted hat?
But again, a good idea, made funny! I had to giggle over it. Frosty the Snowman may be a a snow lady this year here!
19. Inspirational book of verses! Again, my love of verses.... A super idea for this directive for me in particular! Plus it reminded me of how I once made a little book with all kinds of stamped verses in it for someone - I think it may have been for Rebecca. I should be making one of those again so thanks Roxanna for the reminder of that tutorial I have some place....
20. 2014 idea is a smash journal for the Day Care kids. Again, a great idea for my situation. And yes, the book you found is just way too perfect Roxanna. Don't you just love it when you find the perfect item to go with your craft? She also included pieces to make bookmarks with the kids. Again, another great idea as I normally buy a book for each one of them at Christmas.

Phew! That's a lot of typing for 20 items! Sorry for all the gushing, but Roxanna deserves it! She did fantastic for her first swap with us in this type of large partner swap. I truly appreciate someone giving 100% plus and I hope this spurs on the rest of you to make your SS's swap box as special for her as Roxanna has done for me!

Great box from Roxana and so speedy too!

I've been updating my list in post #394 as I go. I'm still on schedule and after a small Thanksgiving here, my brother's picking up my mom Friday so I'll have almost 3 whole days with no responsibilities to finish up BigGrin

Roxana nice box you put together for Gwynne.

I made a mistake and worked on an item into the wee hours last night and now I am too tired to work on any thing else other then the package tags I just did tonight. But I have the next 5 days off and will finish things up and get the box mailed.

Gwen,
BigGrin Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments and praise!Blushing I had so much fun doing this challenge and thank you for including me. I am so pleased that you like everything.

I wanted to add a few comments:
-for the brick tag - I didn't have a brick stencil or embossing folder, so my husband helped me make a stencil and I mixed paint and coffee grounds to make it look like brick.
-I am very happy that you liked the felted and crocheted holly. It was my first attempt at making them.
-the Santa magnets- I had a lot of fun finding the pictures and making them into magnets and knowing you liked Vintage Santas made them perfect!
-The almond toffee is made by my daughter - she sells it in the local stores here in Victoria. Enjoy!Drool
-the reindeer coasters - I used a card from CCR for the reindeer and cut it inside a circle. Glued it to Gold paper and then to cork and laminated it so it could be wiped off.
-I loved making the little purse and I laminated it because the first one I made ripped and when laminated it doesn't.BigGrin
- I was very happy with the Mini album as I had not made one before and enjoyed making it. I found this tutorial at -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbHWzscVBsg

Enjoy your goodies. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!!BigGrin
