What machine do you have that laminates so nicely? It never even dawned on me that you did that yourself - putting the coating on the paper! I still love that number paper cuz I love the colors!

And yes, I know what you mean about making purses or similar items and the handles don't hold up well. So laminating is perfect solution.

I wish everyone could see her bricks in real life cuz they look like the real deal! Coffee grounds....too funny! But it works perfectly! It's amazing to look at. And kudos to your husband for helping you come up with an alternative idea to create bricks!

I haven't bitten into the candy yet...but I will be before too many days pass by! It will be my well deserved treat after I get my house cleaned and decorated this upcoming long weekend! lol

I use sheets of adhesive laminate - works great. It is also on the mini album so the seams don't ripe.BigGrin I will check and see if I can find where I got the paper or at lest the make. It was in an 8x8 pad. I thought it was perfect for the challenge.BigGrin

Isn't it funny how the early boxes set the bar for the rest? We finish projects and are happy with them until we see pics of someone else's and suddenly we become unsure LOL We're all a bunch of silly gooses!

Just want to take a minute to comment on how Roxana did a lovely job tagging each directive. She made numbered lightbulb shaped ornaments but also glued on the matching verse on the backside. Nice job! (which reminds me I still need to do my tags for my own box!)

I didn't make fancy ornaments but I did use numbers from a Christmas stack for my tags.LOL
I also printed out the verse to add to the back of the tags.

Pray everyone has a safe and memorable Thanksgiving.

Hugs, Carol K.

P.S. Sent this eMail a short time ago and it did'nt post. 2 attempt.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

My time on the computer today will be hit and miss as no school today so DGC will be here. Plus I need to get organized for what I'm fixing for dinner tomorrow, etc.

We rather lucked out, weather-wise. The ground has a white coating but not sure it's even an inch, and that was from yesterday afternoon. Never covered the sidewalks at all. The hills are a little icy though from the rainy mix we had thru the night - thus why no school. But here in town the roads are fine.

BTW, does anyone here use their phone to try and check out this MB? In the past, in rare occasions when I used my phone instead of computer, I had no issues doing so. But a couple days ago when I came to this swap forum, I could only read the first part of every sentence. The right hand side of the entire screen was blank. And you couldn't scroll over to read the rest of the lines. WEIRD!

If I went to support page, the entire page showed up though. Just the actual chat pages were half gone. So what the heck happened? Did provocraft change something or did my phone update change something? I am clueless and have no idea how to figure that one out!

SO now I'm curious to know if others are having same issue all of a sudden.

When I try it with my Kindle, I have to make it smaller and then the right side shows up. Then I have to make it bigger to be able to read it!!!! PITB for sure!!! Plus I can't login for some reason. I have tried everything.

My page is already minimized as tiny as it will go - so that's not the issue.

It's like there is an invisible sheet of paper taped to the right half of my screen blocking my view. And the right side half of every sentence will not move over to the left for me to read. It has nothing to do with scrolling or minimizing with my fingers, etc.

Going to show my SIL tomorrow to see what he thinks. Plus my nephew and niece will be there too and they may know something as they are of that younger tech savy generation... lol

ok, then it's not something screwy with my phone! lol It must be something to do with PC and their last update as it was fine before that.

But isn't is just so weird how you can't scroll to see the entire length of line? lol

I am down to wrapping and tagging....probably sometime tomorrow night after company leaves or early Friday morning. My darling husband decided that Friday was the day to put the TV on the wall. We had it over a year and I have been tripping over the wall mount, moving it every time it got in my way. It means we have to rearrange so the Couch faces the TV at a proper angle. And the fish tanks have to emptied and moved, which according to him is OK, because with the TV stand free he can set up his 55 gallon tank. UGH....He says we can accomplish this in 2 days...we shall see. If I post from a Psych ward, this is why.
Happy Thanksgiving my dear friends.

Hoping everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!!!! Mine was quiet but niceBigGrin Only 6 of us so it wasn't stressful. Of course I ate too much of the good(bad)stuff but who doesn't.
Had my sandwich and pie around 7pm and watched a movie. Nice way to end the daySmile

I did get my box packed and just need to add some stuffing to it. So excited to see how my SS will like everything I made for her. I may even mail it tomorrow so I don't have to worry about it Monday when I have a bunch of ATCs to mail outLOL

I will be gone a few days next week but will have the PO hold my mail so if my SS sends my package, it will be safe until I get homeLOL LOL LOL

Hope no one spent too much money today!!!! I bought half price tickets to a local theater to see Grease next JuneBigGrin BigGrin It has become our new anniversary "thing to do".

I might just go online shopping now and see if there is anything else I just HAVE TO buy. (I am at work but nothing really going on)

Congrats Jen!!!!!

I hope everyone had as memorable a Thanksgiving as I had. I had spoken to our son (last Sunday) to see if he was going to be able to have granddaughter for Thanksgiving. He told me probably not. LO and BEHOLD when he arrived at our daughter's house yesterday..................granddaughter was with him. I was so surprised I began crying. WOW my whole family together for Thanksgiving for the first time in a long long time. DD took some pictures for me with her phone camera....I did not bring my camera as I had no batteries for it. She is going to text and e-mail me the pictures when she can.

I spent my money today!

MemoryMakingCrafts.com has good price on scor tape, which I love for making minis and using on so many of my altered projects, etc. so I had to buy to replenish my stash for next year. Not free shipping but still fair price for that too.

Lindy's Stamp Gang is 30% off thru Monday. They have a new set out "Industrial Chic" so I was hoping for a sale so I could get those colors.

I think we need to have a swap next year where you have to use their sprays on each of your altered items, canvas creations, etc. So if you don't own any of this brand of sprays, here's perfect opportunity to buy at a good price if you can do online ordering.

I just know I need a reason to force me to start using them more. And I have promised myself to attempt an altered canvas soon too! And they seem to use these sprays a lot on these projects...

and then I saw where free shipping here at Cricut store...mats, blades, cartridges on sale...so I replenished for upcoming year. But again, fair sale prices and free shipping...so it's worth it to me! Plus I pleasantly discovered that many of the diecuts Roxanna used on my swap box Projects are from the winter wonderland and Merry & Bright cartridge bundle on sale. So I learned something too while shopping! lol

Had a great Thanksgiving Dinner and leftovers are tonight. SO I've had a great vacation day today! No whining here! lol
