Candy, super interpretations on all the directives! Love the 3d boot with fur at top. Makes me think of peachy as she made similar ones for me one xmas swap.

Enjoy Candy's home made window sparklers, the polar bear and star!

And Candy's mini albums are always very special.

Enjoy your wonderful Christmas goodies, Roxanna

AmyL received her swap box last night from CarolKlink. She texted me this morning to let me know and hopes to get on the MB today to say thank you.

Carol, did you take pics before mailing off to her? If so, it would be great if you could post pics for her as she's not been able to log on from her home computer and therefore may not be able to post pics if that problem continues.

******

I checked DC#s, and the UPS truck has one pkg. out for delivery today.

Two others should be out for delivery but who knows...it appears that the weather this week has slowed down the one pkg. and the other pkg. got sent to wrong PO by mistake and is re-routing. If those 2 don't deliver today, I would think it will be tomorrow for sure.

Well, I guess the jokes on me...

I was just reading my own rules and I see that every time I typed the due date or check in dates, that I never included the year!

Please accept my sincere apologies for not typing in the DD of Dec. 9, 2013.

Not sure how many of you thought the due date was 2014, or 2020, or maybe you thought it was in the year 3000??????????????????????????????

Anyway, I did mean 2013! Sorry for the confusion.

FA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA ....

So glad to hear Amy received her box yesterday. A smaller one is scheduled to arrive via UPS today, tracking #1Z910X390374001926. A box I had been storing directives in was moved and I didn't locate it until mailed 1st box. I was in such a rush to mail the 1st box I didn't take pics. Will try to do better next time.

Wishing all a Happy Holiday Season!

thank you Amy for getting your pkg. in the system. DC# checks out.

Donna, could you let me know when you will be dropping off your pkg. to the PO please? Electronic Shipping notice isn't the same as actually having your pkg. in the system on it's way.

Robin?

Today is Wednesday and I hope I have DC#s before I go to bed tonight please.

LorifromTX, now that school is back in session, I have to assume that it's safe to travel the roads and that you were able to get out and mail your swap box today. I need that tracking number ASAP.

The due date has come and gone, the disasters have passed and you were all told 3 months ago and again each month to pace yourselves and not wait until the last minute to create.

Also, I want to point out that the 4 who have not mailed are also the same 4 who did not check in regularly and had to be chased down each time. Being the holiday season, I was gracious enough to not remove you from the swap weeks ago. Well look where it got me! I'm sitting here typing like a grinch because you 4 couldn't show respect to the rules and this swap!

Please get these boxes mailed today. Mail is going to slow way down due to holiday rush and it's just not fair to those who are waiting and wondering. And it's especially not fair to me, the hostess, who has to be bothered with all this extra work of babysitting adults! Not when you were given 3 months to create and could mail almost a month ago mid-November.

I'm so sorry you feel this way.Blushing Crying I know with me my life has been a huge roller coaster this year and I'm doing the best I can. I've PMd you an update, so hopefully you understand.

Lots of great goodies arriving, love looking at the pictures. Just dropped Mom off for a perm so I have a couple hours to catch up. I see my SS's pkgs are out for delivery Scared Was going to do some Christmas shopping today but wound up with fever/chills all night and have felt like poop all day-hopefully I sweat it out already because with no backup I can't get sick. Gotta go pay some bills, I'll check back later cuz once she has it I need to explain a couple things! LOL

update:

Amy has mailed and DC# works.

Donna has given me a DC# but pkg. not showing in the system yet, just electronic notification

Robin has PM'd me that she got sick on Tues so she will mail by Saturday.

and Lori is apparently flaking.

The swap box that was to go to Lori will now be mailed to her SS instead, with minor adjustments, so that is already figured out and so I won't have to ask for angels to step in and help out.

Donna and Robin, please get your boxes in the mail this week. I hate to see your SS get her pkg. after the holiday. I'm trusting that you will follow thru and mail.

I should have delivery dates for everyone by Saturday afternoon. I'm sure Candy would like to know when she can cross the border to pick up hers and I'm sure Ali would like to know when she can plan her trip into town as she lives quite a distance from her PO and does not get home delivery.

I am so sorry for the delays to the last 4 gals. It seems to happen every year for one reason or another.

Kiethann is also still waiting on her swap box in Barb's xmas swap, so she is getting a double whammy her first year of holiday swapping with us! Donna, you still need to post pictures of what you received from Kiethann too please.

I have a busy weekend ahead of me as we are celebrating Christmas on Sunday with my daughter and son and families. So I have lots of cooking, baking, wrapping to do to be ready bright and early Sunday. Thus why I'm trying to get this swap behind me and off my mind.

Looking forward to our cruise the following weekend and hot weather! It is frigid here today!

Gotta love the hustle and bustle of this time of year!

LoriFromTX - you have been removed from this swap. You have been relieved of your obligation to send a swap box to your SS. The box that was going to you is now on it's way to her instead.

I have no tolerance for excuses and lack of communication and breaking of rules - especially for a holiday swap!

Just checked DC#s, and two swap boxes were delivered this afternoon. So hopefully we'll have some pictures to drool over tonight or tomorrow.

Another one is still on the UPS truck, but out for delivery.

*************
Donna, I really, really need an update on why your pkg. is not in the system yet. I just checked again, and still nothing showing up with the DC# you provided last night.

Nice job on the altered frame of the manger scene Ali.

Lots of cute ideas for all the directives!

Donna still has not communicated with me regarding why her DC# doesn't show a pkg. in the system.

I did not get impression from her that she would flake, though it's been obvious her free time to craft has been very limited with her evening college courses.

Donna, I would be happy if you would just mail what you do have done - that would be that much less the rest of us need to scurry around to complete.

So I may need some angels before this is over with. Can't imagine anyone having free time to craft this weekend, but if you do, you might want to start thinking about what you can do to help out.

We'll see if I hear anything from her today, otherwise, I'll be asking for some angels for Candy.

Very frustrating for me and very disappointing.

I really have zero tolerance for the lack of honest communication. I can deal with late mailings when I'm told the truth, but not these head games.

And I am not enjoying all this whining by me, in hopes to get some responses from the late mailers.

So to the rest of you, I apologize for ruining a lovely holiday swap! Ridiculous that you log on to drool over pictures only to have to read all my negativity because these gals couldn't give me honest communication.

Ali, I love everything, you did wonderfully! and it was a nice surprise to get the Tim Holtz scissors and ink pads. I already put my cute little color changing snowman and the little house up with all my other snowmen and the manger scene is just beautiful!! The Tigger was a nice touch, I wasn't expecting that, thank you so much for taking the time to find out things about me.

Gwen I definitely have some baking to do, Ali was nice enough to read that I love to bake Love

Also, I'd be happy to help if you need some Angels!!! I have no plans for the weekend, just let me know what you need.

I know Texas has had some bad weather and I am sure it has been hard for those that live there.

I do have to say that no one has been hateful!!!!! Just honest.

Those of you that have hosted swaps before, know how frustrating it can be when there is lack of communication. Christmas time is especially so when your SS is eagerly awaiting her box.
When people sign up for a swap, there are rules just like everything else we do in life. If you can't follow the rules, then don't play. It's not rocket science!!!!

We all know that life happens BUT all that needs to be done is to tell the hostess. LACK OF KNOWING what is going on is the worst thing for a hostess.

Being firm(not hateful)is what I call it.

We all have lives outside this MB and we would also like to have time to enjoy the holidays. When a hostess has to babysit people in her swap, it takes all the fun out of it.

So this is my take on swapsSmile

1. COMMUNICATE WITH THE HOSTESS IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS-she WILL work with you
2. Check in when you are supposed to
3. Honor the commitment you made when joining a swap.
4. If you say you are mailing on a certain day, do it and let the hostess know the tracking info when it is in the system!!!!
5. Do your best for your partner-don't wait until the last minute and rush to finish.
6. Personalize--So much better to receive a box made especially for you than to get something generic
6. HAVE FUN with what you are doing, don't make it into a job you hate

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Lori, don't bother mailing as I informed you yesterday you were removed from swap.

You did nothing to gain my trust this entire swap and I frankly just have had enough.

Common sense and experience here tells me that anyone who is busy crafting away, making special items for their SS and spending lots of money on a swap, will check in regularly - especially in the days leading up to the due date. You did not check in for days and not at all in December until in the evening of the Due Date. According to your MQ, you are a stay at home mom...so you had ample opportunities to check in on time and not be chased down each time.

Further, I was checking online the list of school closures for your area and have family in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area...so I was personally keeping track of your hardship with the ice. Plus I watch the weather channel every morning as I get ready for work.

I do not know what else to say here!

I have Lori posting she's not mailed yet, and it's Friday! The ice storm ended but yet you couldn't get to the PO yet? You didn't even respond to my text!

I have Robin saying she was sick on Tuesday, but yet she needs until Saturday to get to the PO??

I have Donna giving me a DC# Wed. night and here it is Friday and no pkg. in the system yet!

And you all wonder why I'm so disgusted with each of you?

What more do I need to explain here? IF you were truly done with the swap, you would have made it a priority to get to the PO days ago!
