I'm hoping someone might be online who can help me out (I am on the verge of severe desperation!). I have a brand new computer (windows 8). DS is not compatible with it (and I do not have another computer I can use). I have several *.cut files that I need to be able to use and I have no way to convert them. Does anyone know how I can convert these .cut files so I can use them in CCR? I have been asked to make several cards (many that are *.cut files) and I don't have time to re-create them. Thank you in advance for any assistance that can be provided.

It's a catch 22. You have to "Save As" a gypsy file in Design Studio and then import into CCR. There is still no guarantee that the gypsy file will load in CCR.

If you want to attach a few of the files to your post, or send some in a PM to me, I will be happy to bring into DS, and save as a gypsy file, and send back to you.

I'm not sure why DS won't work for you. I have Windows 8 and it works just fine. Cool

I'd be happy to convert the DS files for you if you'd like to send them to me. girlfromoz2009 at hotmail.com

I have Windows 7 and it works for me. But, what I have found is that I cannot open cut files that were created on old 32 bit operating systems (like 32 bit Windows XP). So, even though I got it installed and working, I could not open the really old cut files I had created on Windows XP 32 bit or less.

Following is part of the error message I get when trying to open old cut files:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Did you download the program to your Windows 8 computer from the website or install from your old CD? I'd give PC a call. Even though DS is no longer being updated, they will still troubleshoot with you.
