i have one... and since they have been discontinued, my excitement over them is down.
warning, when you run out of ink, it will not work at all. must have ink (color is hp97 costing $45) to even only cut.

If it were me, I wouldn't pay over $150.00 for it; less if possible. And that's only after I used it a few times and made sure it worked well with no issues. If your friend has any "extras" i.e. mats, ink, blades, etc., she won't need anyway after she sells it you might get her to throw all those in as well.

There is other ink from HP that works once you update the machine. That why it is important to see if it will upgrade. Someone might chirp in that knows which type works. I will have to find the post about it.

I am not at home right now, but I will look & see & let you know in a little while. All of my cartridges are linked! I don't know if that will make a difference to you or not!

This is just my opinion...but I wouldn't even think of buying one. I didn't want it when it first came out and definitely wouldn't waste my money buying something that's discontinued now.

I purchased my a year ago on Ebay, brand new I paid $150. Came with the 2 inks, mat and imagine more cartridge.
I really like my imagine,(knock on wood, have not had any problems with it.)it's great for making party decorations and fast cards.
