I always keep Christmas cards that I receive.
I decided to recycle them and make some new cards. I just trimmed them up a bit, added some ribbons and used different punches for accents. Certainly nothing fancy but I think they look nice.
The third picture is of cards made with scrap papers.

I love to recycle cards (because I have a hard time throwing them away!) Here are a few I've done.

The 85-yr-old mom of one of my friends has a group of ladies at church that do this too; they sell them for $1.00/ea. and the money goes to the building fund.

Yours are much nicer than mine!!!! Great idea for the ladies to make and sell. Mine will be going to "Cards for Soldiers"

I scraplifted your "rays" card but made it with Christmas papers

Love the recycled cards. I do this also and have made some pretty nice ones that I almost didn't want to give away. BigGrin I enjoy being able to recycle them. Yours turned out great! TFS.

Thanks for your nice comments! I neglected to tell you earlier how much I liked your cards--I think because I was so excited Woot Woot to see that somebody else also likes to recycle old cards!! It's such a good way to "reduce-reuse-recycle" and come up with some beautiful new creations (often without a lot of work!). Sometimes it helps me get jump-started when I'm in a creative slump.

What a great idea. The punches and ribbons give a nice new look to the cards.

These are all really nice. I especially like the ones where you used your scraps. {3rd pic}. They are all beautiful. I'm all for recycling of any kind & wish more people did it.

You both did a great job on your recycling. I do this, too. I just don't get as many done as I would like. I sent out about twenty Christmas Cards last year that were made from "leftovers" and about that many the year prior. I loved making them; and, you do feel like you're not throwing something away that someone gave to you.....but letting someone else feel the joy you got when you got it in the first place (hopefully)!
