I don't know if anyone is interested or not, but I have been commissioned to make a Christmas Holiday Swag to place in the lobby of a local restaurant, and I got to thinking how much fun it would be to see swags that others have made using Cricut cuts.

No RULES -- Do Your Own thing !! Then, post at least 5 to 10 pictures of your swag so we can get a good look at it...far away and close ups...

I have decided we will not have a "vote". I dont want anyone to be stressed over this...so just make a swag if you want to make one and post pictures here !

You do need to sign up here so that I know you are interested. If you end up not making your swag there is no penalty to pay and you will not be a "Flaker" because you are not partnered up.

EASY !! NO STRESS !!

First set of Pictures are from a "Swag" I made for Mardis Gras using "QUARTER NOTE" Cricut cartridge mostly....

Thanks Donna !

I was just wanting to start a bit of a challenge that had absolutely no threats to it !! Love

I will also be making one for my office decorations...

I am still looking at my carts to decide which ones I will use and hope to make a design decision soon because it takes me a couple of weeks to make one of these big ones. The restaurant one has to be at least 10 feet long.

I already have an idea and not sure which carts I will need to use either. I have had this in my mind during the SS Christmas Swap but it didn't really fit with what I wanted to do overall.BigGrin

I never knew how many different Santa Sleighs there are on the carts !!

I am curious to see how you make a swag from
cricut images. Have you ever done this before?
If so do you have pics?

Trying to decide which cuts I am going to use. I hope I am translating this swap correctly. I am cutting my things from the Cricut for the major pieces and then using my embellishments on hand for the finishing touches.

This is splendid as I learned a lot while trying to figure out how I was going to do mine. Then I was inspired by Pinterest and the next thing I know is I am cutting out images. So fun!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Here is a sneak peek - almost finished with my first triple layered piece for the swag
This is a Santa Sleigh from the "QUILTED CHRISTMAS" cartridge. I looked at all 10 Santa sleigh images available on cartridges and I liked this one the best. It was cut at 6 1/2" ...
I will add pictures of pieces as I go along and all members are invited to do the same.
Thanks for looking ! BigGrin

Well the swag I made is now hanging up in the restaurant...I managed to get a couple of pix of it tonight when we went to eat there...
Unfortunately there are some figurines in the way of getting a clear photo, but I think you can get the idea of what it looks like...
Sort of fun to have something I made hanging up in public view !! This was pretty neat BigGrin

Thanks for looking !!

My hubby took one picture with me standing in front of it...just ignore the old lady on the left ! LOL

Love your Swag Barb!

I have everything cut out for mine, I just have to assemble it. I'm going to use posterboard to make it sturdier so that I can use it for more than 1 year. I will post pics when I get it doneBigGrin

I used the Merry and Bright cart that I won from you! I love the cuts on this cart!Love Love

Hi Everyone - Keithann, to answer your question- My swag was created on 4 yards of gold rope -
The images were all cut at 6.5 inches high using black cardboard (chipboard) backing first, then 2 to 3 layers of color cardstock and embellishments. I made it sturdy so that they can use it again next year if they choose, and of course since it is on public display I wanted to make it look as professional as possible. The Santa sleigh in the middle is filled with Gift Cards that the restaurant is selling for Christmas.
I have already started on a new one for them for Mardi Gras as the one from last year is too small and will not fill the space they want to place it in...so I will be busy after Christmas on that one for sure !

very nice. I have only made a banner for wedding showers and baby showers. A Xmas one would be nice. I have a lot on my plate right now, so I'll just add it to my personal list, and get some motivation from this post every once in a while.

This is actually a really bad picture. The background is red with gold dots. I used a stocking as the J, an ornament for the O and the San Serif Y. These papers have shiny gold on them. I will try and take a better picture, but it did turn out great. I tried to hang it on the wall with clear tape, but wouldn't stay. I am going to have to get some clear poster tack to try and hang it.

It was fun to think of how to do it. I used the metal badge on the Stand and Salute for the background tag. I LOVE having an Expression. I can do things that I have been wanting to do and couldn't because of the restriction of the size of the original bug mat.BigGrin

One way to hang your swag is to buy some Command 3D hooks. They are removable and do not mar surfaces. I used them to make a line to hang my Christmas cards on. MOOgoggingirl like your Joy swag. Very pretty. Where are you going to hang it.

The one idea I had did not turn out so back to the drawing board. Have very few Christmas cartridges so my selection is very limited.
