I've been having trouble with my E2 working with CCR on my MacBook (running Mountain Lion). I downloaded the Sync program and it told me there was a firmware update available for my E2. It downloaded the update just fine, but it's been 30 hours since it started updating my E2 and I'm just getting a green barber pole and it says it's "working" and "DO NOT power off, disconnect, or unplug your device. Your device will reboot when the update has completed."

I'm getting very concerned both about my E2 and my MacBook (which is starting to get VERY warm). I know support is closed for the weekend, but I don't feel comfortable leaving my Mac up and running for another 36 hours.

Has it taken this long for anyone else?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I don't have a MAC, but I can tell you that it should never take more than 15-20 minutes for the update, depending on your connection.

Personnaly, I would probably shut it down. I would think the worse that could happen is that you lose the firmware on your E2 in which case a restore would have to be done. I had that happen to my Imagine once, but a restore fixed it up.

However I am NOT making a recommendation as to what YOU should do, as I don't know for a fact that your E2 would be recoverable.

I just know that an update doesn't take that long.
