hello. I am thinking about purchasing the new circuit that you can hook to your computer. I would like to know if this unit will cut fabric. Mainly felt. Thank you for any answers.

All of the Cricuts will cut fabric as long as it is backed with a fabric stabilizer. It is also best to use a new blade that has not be used on paper. HTH

Look at the Expression! Most reliable machine that PC has! You can use it with the CCR, the Gypsy or stand-alone!

But you can NOT cut your own designs. Only the new machine will allow you to cut your own designs (designs that a completely designed by you, not an adaptation of a Cricut design)

That is true, but after all the crap with the Imagine at launch until it was discontinued, I am leary of the new machine. I also just saw someone post what it is compatible with & it does not appear to be compatible with IE! I cannot use other programs due to it blocking some of the programs that I use for work. I work from home from time to time, so the other programs make this machine a BIG NO for me!
