Those are great, GGrammar.....I'll try to come back a little later with our DGS's valentine....if I do get it finished. If I don't "come up with it" in the next few hours, I'll have to go buy one to get his mail to him on time.

I'm going to go work on it in a few!

Thanks for starting this thread!

Great cards! Love the pop-up card!!!!!

I am almost done with the few Valentine cards that I make, which is unusual for me. Most of the time I make them the day before Valentine's Day! I have been using Artbooking. Sure makes cute, simple cards.

That particular pop up is an SVG file I purchased, but I have learned how to pop out pretty much anything on my other software. These are the kinds of design features I hope Design Space has.

Great work, ladies. I love seeing other people's work.

Here are some recent Valentines I made.

Hearts was for a Valentines swap I just did through this MB.
Camel is for a friend. Inside reads "The Original Hump Day...Happy Valentines Day"
Heart with arrows is for another friend whose husband's band has the crossing arrows as part of their logo.

I'm working on a few more this week to hand deliver on Friday.

How do you popup "almost anything"???? I really would love to learn. I really hope Design Space includes these kind of options for people who do their own designing.

I have learned where to put the perforated lines so that it folds into a pop up. It just takes some measuring and the ability to design from scratch with drawing tools in the cutting software. I just bought some pop-up SVGs when I first started designing my own stuff to use an example and taught myself.

Here is a card I sent a friend's son who loves giraffes. I wanted to include as many giraffe elements as I could. The inside was made with a flat safari SVG border but I created the pop out window and welded the safari border to the bottom. Being able to draw whatever I want makes this possible and I get to decide if the lines will be cut or perforated so I get nice, neat folds. Those are the kinds of tools I hope Design Space has.

I think I posted my valentine I did for our DGS late, last year, and I don't think many saw it, so I hope you don't mind my sharing it here.

I love to write poems to our DGS; hope you can see it.

While I did work part of the day on his valentine for this year, I haven't got it quite done, as yet. I hope to post it here tomorrow.

Char

That's the strangest poem I've ever read.....LOL....GUESS I DIDN'T write a poem on this one! On the cards I make for him each year, I always incorporate 3-5 pictures of him and his dad and momma that we took on our previous year's visits. These are usually pictures I don't share with them when we're visiting them, so they get to see them for the first time on the cards.

Thanks for the link........ I was hoping to be looking at DeSpace today...... but this is really fun to play withBigGrin And it will export as an SVG so it isn't software specific for cutting.

I really like the stamp and cutter card, GGrammar. This has been a fun thread; thanks for starting it.

I did finally get our DGS's card sent out in the mail about 4:56pm this afternoon! LOL. I got it sent out a DAY EARLIER than usual. We used to be able to count on two-days to Florida; anymore it's three days. So, for me to get it out this afternoon was a miracle in and of itself!

This is not one of my FAVORITES I've done for him; but, it is what it is. About 3:30pm today, I was thinking I should just go buy a cute card and that would be more appreciated! BUT, I kept gluing and adding and this is what it turned out to be. I could have added more to the wagon; but, I didn't.

There is a faux worm in the glass jar in the grass; it's a snake. I realized it after I got ready to put it in the jar!! It is a snake in a jar! LOL. I thought it was funny to let the puppy be licking the ice cream cone; there's plenty there for him AND the alien!

I don't like to post pics of our DGS; so, I did cover faces in the pics. The first pic of DGS is one of him taking pictures of his Christmas gifts. He has grown up with his daddy and mommy pointing a camera at him almost every day of his life (what parent doesn't, anymore); he loves his camera. We take pictures of sewer covers (down in the ditches) on our walks; dead grass and lots of other interesting things. We visited the Imaginarium Museum in Arcadia FL in January; the one picture that I left his mouth uncovered....he looked like he was mocking the dinosaur in the background, but he wasn't. I'm not sure what illicited that look.

Today was an eventful day....of having all kinds of problems trying to get my card finished. My black Cricut Marker (that I've had since 2008 and have used a LOT) decided to quit working for me. I placed the inside of the card on my mat to get that written (Lyrical Letters). It doesn't look all that great; but, I chose not to try to go back over it with another marker and just used a stencil pen to write through the letters for a little more definition. I had all kinds of trouble with my paper not cutting good (with the little beagle), white core paper (which we all talked about the other day) and a host of other maladies.

LOL....here it is! I should have gone and bought a card! LOL.
