Sorry ladies...only got 2 samples ready. Can you tell my themeLOL

Sketch #1...thank you for DD bball coach. Can't decide if this one is good enough for head coach or not.

Cartridge: Basketball

Sketch #2...thank you for DD bball coach. Made this one for our assistant coach (David) but thinking it is too "fancy" and should go to the main coach (Jane). I posted to my facebook for an opinion.

Cartridge: Sports mania

Lisa, thanks for being hostess this round. Appreciate the sketches and the two cards examples you made. HOpe to be able to get at least one card done this round. My mom is in hospital with a repaired fractured femur. Not for sure how long she will be there. had surgery yesterday and is doing as well as an 83 year old woman can be doing.

Lisa - love your sample cards. The silhouette figures are great. I love both of of them and can see why you can't decide who to give each one to.

Keithann - so sorry to hear about your Mom I hope she recovers quickly,

#1 - LOVE this card!! The different positions of the player in white silhouette against the black panels is awesome. Like the BG paper in the same color as the basketball....very well put together card. The coach will really appreciate it. How are the playoffs going??

#2 - Another awesome Basketball card and great interpretation of sketch #2. Love the pattern papers, cute basketball ribbon and very nice sentiment. Coach will love it!

Kiethann
Sorry about your Mom, hope all will be well soon and she will be up and around. And, that you are able to get some crafting in this week.

Thanks Nana Donna and Turtlebug for your nice thoughts. She has fluid on her lungs now, which will probably delay her recovery and release from hospital. Hope to squeeze in a little time for myself to do some creating this coming week. Time will tell.

Yeah I got my sketch #1 done.

The background paper is from Paper Pizazz and the turquoise area is Cored'nations card stock.
In order to get some Cricut on my card I cut the 3 triangles using the George cartridge and made a shadow layer. I distressed the edges. I stamped the images and then heat embossed them with copper embossing powder. The 2 Kokopellis are from Rubbernecker stamps. I know my proportions are off with the cactus but that is what I had that went together.

Hope to get some papers ready for my next sketch today before I have to stop to get dinner ready. Having guest for dinner tonight

Here my sketch #4
I bought the background paper on purpose to use with my Mark's Finest chicken stamps. I embossed the green/black with my chicken wire embossing folder. I stamped the two chickens then stamped over them with my Versamark pad with a chicken wire stamp. The only Cricut on here is the small label where I stamped the sentiment. For the extra credit ribbon I used hemp rope instead. TFL

here is the inside BigGrin

Well believe it or not!!! I was able to get one card completely finished. It is based on sketch 1, add colors and a little mix of extra credit. Used Cricut to cut the squares and rectangle. Used a new Martha Stewart punch I bought at JoAnns called Spiral Arches. It is one of her around the page punch sets. Got a super deal on it of on $4.97.

Finally finished the inside of the card. here is a picture of it.

Thank you. Have to apologize for the crookedness of the card. I have a very severe stigmatism and sometimes I see what appears to be strait but then when look at it later realize it is crooked. In addition, the dark blue is material and it was a challenge to cut it. Wouldn't that make an awesome wedding invitation using the Spiral Arches punches!

Bingolady, like how you used frames instead of mats for the card. Very pretty color choices also.

#1 - WOW, very nice!! Love the color combo, the panel in front of the turquoise is just like the color and rocks so common around here, especially in Sedona, AZ, beautiful!! Like the copper embossed Kokopellis and saguaro. Beautiful card!
#4 - Love the country feel of this card! The BG paper and Chicken Wire embossing folder are perfect for the cute chicken stamp. Like the triple color Jute in all the colors used throughout the card. I know of an "old cluck" you can send this card to this month!!LOL LOL

BingoLady
#1 and Bling Ex. Credit - Nice and colorful, very cute BG paper. Like the embossed panels and cute Ladybug brad. Like the addition of the bling center to the flowers, nice touch.
#2 - WHAAAAAT!!??? Are you feeling ok...NO embossing!!!LOLLOL
L-O-V-E this card!!!! The bold colors, pretty flower and ribbon. Everything is so well put together. Did you really just use cut out frames and not matting, as Kiethann mentioned??? Either way it looks great!

Kiethann,
Hoping your Mom is doing better and will be home soon! Nice your were able to finish your card.
#3, Ad Colors and Ex. Credit - Pretty 3 in 1 card, like all the Bling (especially the hatpins) and the Spiral Arches all-around punch is very pretty. You found a super deal for sure... an all-around MS punch for only $5 bucks!! Wonder if/why this punch was discontinued, cause it is so pretty? The sentiment is awesome, too!

Thank you. It was on clearance, so I am not for sure. Maybe it was the only one left and they wanted to get rid of inventory quickly. who knows. I have found 3 of MS around the page punches clearanced before for the same price. Just lucky I guess. Come to think of it, each of the different punches were bought at three different stores. Michaels, Hobby Lobby and JoAnns.

Happy Sunday everyone. I got my sketch #2 done yesterday in the Ad colors but didn't get a chance to take the pictures and post it.
Lots and lots of embossing on this one........move over Bingolady LOLLOL LOL LOL
The label was cut using Art Philosophy and shadowed using CCR. The sentiment is stamped using a Rubbernecker stamp. The spotted paper is from an old DCWV stack. The strip across the bottom is a piece of white paper with a piece of Washi tape on top of it. I slipped a CTMH "buckle" over the strip. TFL
