My sketch #3
I made this card for my nephews birthday who is a big Cubs fan.
The baseball paper is a single sheet from Michaels. I cut the baseball out and then put liquid crystal over it.
The happy birthday is cut from the stamping cartridge. You can't really see it but I embossed the blue on the bottom with a folder that has a mit and baseball on it. TFL

My #3 Skecth Card:

Hearts - ARTISTE cartridge
Black & White Buttons - Are plastic tied with thin satin ribbons
Black Panel Cardstock - "Darling Dear" collection stack by Studio Calico
Embossing - "Swiss Dots" Cuttlebug folder
Talking Bubble - Cut with the ARTISTE cartridge, which I then applied to the matching chipboard cut that came with the Artiste cartridge set I bought, giving the cut a 3-D effect.
"You Make Me Smile" Stamp - Close to My Heart acrylic stamp using Stazon Black ink.

#2 and Ad Colors - Very bright and bold colors, like the assorted embossing and the buckle with the ribbon through it is very nice. Nice way to pick up the blues for the AC challenge, love the frame. Great card!!
#3 - Ya know I LOVE my baseball, BUT it is the Arizona Diamondbacks for me!!Razz Razz This Cubs card is ALL baseball and I love every detail on it. The logo is spot-on and the diamond glaze on the baseball looks awesome. Cubs have the most awesome and patriotic team colors, though!!Wink. He will love it!

Lisa,
I can relate to you and the basketball posters! I remember about a month ago I was making 19 posters (1 each) for each player on my DGS's Soccer team. Took a while but so rewarding when finished and you get all the compliments from everyone on a job well done! Plus, on their away games, they look so awesome on their hotel room doors all the way down the hall!!BigGrin Looking forward to your cards.Smile

#3 - Very nice! Great color combo, like the sentiments on the panels and the layered butterflies in assorted colors look nice. Very serene card!

NanaDonna,
OhMyGod OhMyGod This is the most A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E card I have ever seen!!! It is so special and unique. LOVE every little, tiny, delicate, cute, sweet, knob, onesie, adorable thing, (oh, already said that!!) detail on it. I'm positive this one is a keeper and going in the Baby Book FOREVER!!!! (hope it can be folded). Awesome job Donna, the new parents (and everyone else) will absolutely LOVE it!
TFS!! Smile

NanaDonna, what a cute and very special card. LOVE IT! The drawer pulls are so delicate. Are they mini brads? I also have the background paper you used and like how the print is so tiny. Also love the glittered sections on the paper. TFS

Hi Ladies!
Hope everyone is looking forward to a nice weekend and some great weather...enjoy!!

My #4 Sketch Card & Bling Ex. Credit:

Cardstock - All papers are from the DCWV "The Rustic" stack, except for the green which is regular cardstock from "Recollections" by Michael's.
Embossing - "Argyle" folder by Darice
Flowers - CINDY LOO cartridge. I used the "flip" button because I wanted the flower facing from left to right.
B'day Wish - CTMH acrylic stamp from the "Just a Number" occasions collection.
Photo Corners - PAPER TRIMMINGS cartridge
Added sheer sparkly gold thread trimmed ribbon and a small gold flower Brad. The flowers have a gold shimmer to them that is hard to see in the photo. All the tiny gold dots on the diamond-shaped light green panel have a raised gold sparkly effect to them, that don't show up too well, either. So much for the "Bling" part of the Ex. Credit being noticeable on this card, but it looks very "blingy" in person!Laugh Laugh

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.

Turtlebug - #3 this is a great card, I love all the details right down to those cute heart buttons with the ribbon tied through them. Love how you stamped the sentiment at the bottom. #4 love the rustic colors in this card. Great job "flipping" that flower so it faces the correct way.Lots of nice bling and sparkle. I bet it does look much prettier in person. Sometimes you lose so much in the pictures. Thanks so much for the kind words about my baby cardLove BigGrin

Bingolady - #3 pretty card, love how the paper has the sentiment right on it. Pretty color combination with the butterflies. #4 fabulous card and perfect for the occasion. Love how the boy is holding the cross great touch.

Sorry ladies...I have been a really bad host this go round. Life has gotten in the way of my crafting. Time change has not helped either...takes about a week to get adjusted.

As much as I love my daughter playing basketball I am so ready for it to be over. They played their hearts out and the reward is they are playing for the championship this Saturday. We play at 12:15, celebration at 3:00, finish off the night watching our D-league play their game and then it is official...the season is over and I will get some "me" time again.

#4 - Very nice card for your nephew. Like the colors you chose and the silhouette cut with the cross is perfect for the occasion.

Lisa,
Family first!Smile
Being a "Soccer/Baseball Nana" I for one understand how time consuming these practices and games are....but, I feel that it is SO important that we support our children/grandchildren in whatever they choose to participate in. My grandsons have always enjoyed seeing us in the stands game after game cheering them on and always thank us for being there. Hopefully, this Challenge will continue on, pick up some newbies and be here for a long time. But, ALWAYS....Family first!!! Congrats to your daughter and her team....hope they take the whole enchilada!!LaughThumpUp
