Box says: N.W. 18.50 lbs G.W. 20.40 lbs Cu Ft 1.92

Cool

Thank you so much! Looks like location-wise we're the same... sorting out postage is such a headache!

Keep looking on the USPS site. I did the postage calculator for that size and weight of a box and it came up $30.45 or $26.11 online.

You need to open up the "Priority Mail Options" (3 day shipping) line. I think you are looking at the "Priority Mail Express" (2 day shipping) option.

Just ordered mine! Thank you for your help :)

I've gone through Hop Shop Go via my Paypal account and the shipping was quite reasonable (from the estimate) at $100 (this is US dollars though so it'll be a bit more I guess by the time I get it).

I'll post here on how I go with them.

SO EXCITED!!!! Hope it gets here in one piece! (Fingers and toes all crossed).

Hey Narelle,

Sorry I had set it so that I didn't receive notifications from this post for whatever reason...
You are welcome for the PM.

So everyone else can see how I fared here is what I sent to Narelle:

Quote:
Hop Shop Go were fine. Received it on Wednesday (and have been playing with it non-stop haha).

When I ordered it I ONLY ordered the machine (didn't buy any extras) because I wanted it to be a straightforward purchase of 1 box.

I averaged my estimate weight to be 10kgs before it got to Hop Shop Go so it was about $100US as my guestimate prior to me purchasing the machine.

As soon as it was delivered to them from Amazon (I knew Hop Shop Go had received it because I tracked it from Amazon's site) I got an email stating it was there. This was great because of the time difference and I didn't want to waste any time with it just sitting in their warehouse.

I have heard that they say you get 30 free days but there are some charges after 15... I wanted it ASAP so I got on and used Paypal to complete the transaction ASAP.

In the end they charged me for volumetric weight (I've only discovered what this is whilst going over the fineprint for many different forwarding agencies from the US) and was charged at 12kgs instead of the 10kgs I'd estimated (even though the ACTUAL weight was only 9.5kgs).

That being said the final costs were:

Shipping: $100.80US (this was after the 10% discount for being a Paypal customer)
Fuel Surcharge: $11.20US
Mandatory Insurance: $2.87US

TOTAL: $114.87US (Conversion was $127.50AU).

This was the cheapest I found out of all the sites I looked at which was a bonus. Most sites were showing it would be around $160US...

The order shipped on Monday 14/04/2014 from Amazon, arrived at Hop Shop Go on Wednesday 16/04/2014 and was then forwarded on Thursday 17/04/2014 and arrived to me Wednesday 23/04/2014. Considering the fact we had both Good Friday and Easter Monday in that time I'm highly impressed that it only took 9 days in total to get to me.

Also Hop Shop Go used Fedex so I could track my package as it made it's way across the world :) I've never had an issue with anything delivered by Fedex so I was quite happy when I realised that was who they had used.

I had no issues at all using them and certainly will again in the future. I am a bit apprehensive about the whole 'repacking' thing for items where there are more than one parcel to be consolidated (I'm now going to purchase all the accessories and see how that goes) but for the one item it went as smoothly as I could've hoped.
