I am a new owner of an original cricut. Can I use digital cartridges? If so, can they only be used when online? How do I transfer or use it on my cricut? I saw some people say something about needed Design Studio or Craft Room. Please help!

The "legacy machines" or any cricut machine other than Explore, uses cartridges to cut and design with. CCR gives you access to design software and digital cartridges (for purchase through cricut.com) but you must be online to design and your machine must be hooked up to a computer to cut. Design Studio is an older design software that is no longer supported by Provo Craft but thee are still people who like and use it. Design Space software is compatible with the Explore.
