I have been trying to setup my Cricut expression to my Mac. I have the Craftroom installed and when I go into it and then turn on my Cricut a message comes up..."CCRBridge is trying to install a new helper tool. Type in password." When I type in my password which I believe is the same password used through out my computer, it keeps going back to that message and doesn't hook it up. Any help please!?? I want to use the craftroom so bad!! I called CS and they could not help!

Tia- what operating system are you running on your MAC? We are having some trouble with Craft Room running on MAC 10.9. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to get this resolved.

When is this going to be resolved? I am so frustrated!!!! I feel I just wasted $20 for a digital cartridge. SO not happy.
May i pay the difference and get the physical cartridge?????

So glad I didn't upgrade my Mac to 10.9… i'm on 10.8.5 and things are working good….aside from the uplink issue I HAD, i resolved that BigGrin

Any word on when this is going to be resolved? I have been trying to get my machine to link to craft room for a few days and it keeps giving me the same issue with the help tool.

I am having this exact problem, and yes, I am running 10.9.3. I feel better knowing it's not me, but now am desperate to complete my project in my craft room. Desperate for a fix, please.

I am also having this issue it is making me mad i was on with apple for an hour and half because i thought it was there end. I wish this can get fixed. I have a credit of $60 in that craft room and now can not use. Cricut please please hurry up and fix this issues. I know all the buzz with the explore but, all of use with out one would still like to use the old software. Thanks EB

I am having the same problem. It's not acceptable that this problem hasn't been resolved given the length of time they have had to fix it. An alternative should be given to Mac users until this problem is fixed. Is this a priority? I have my doubts.

I am on Mac OSX 10.9.4 and I'm having the same issue - very frustrating! I hope they are able to resolve the issue soon.

Help Help Help!!!! I have the same issue since updating my Mac to the newest OS version - I have wedding invitations I have to get printed! Where is the resolution???? I would buy the cartridge I need but I can't find it anywhere except on line.

Any word on a fix? I got a new laptop (with OS 10.9) of course. Thankfully, I didn't wipe my old laptop and give it away yet - as it is still on 10.7. However, to even find out I had an issue, I had to reauthorize my old computers.. which means I have to wait until Jan 2015 to be able to authorize any computer changes. Mad

Having the same issue on my Macintosh. OS 10.9.4. Just got this Cricut from my sister and the kids were all excited. Now it looks like we're going to have to wait for a fix from Cricut. Please get your programmers on this ASAP. Thanks.

I have an 2013 iMac w/ OSX 10.9.4 installed and I am having the exact same issues: "CCRBridge is trying to install a new helper tool. Type in password." I type in my password and it goes away and comes back within seconds saying the same thing over and over. My Craft Room is not connecting to the Cricut Expression machine due to this. This is very very frustrating and I believe we all want a answers and most of all a solution to this problem. I went through everything I know to fix this: uninstalled anti-virus, searched for drivers, tried syncing, etc... and none of it works.

Has there been a solution yet? Anyone know how to solve this problem?

My husband found a work around. He got an external drive and installed Snow Leopard (10.6) on it. I connect it with a USB cable to my Mac, then mount it at start-up. It's a pain, but I am cutting again with CCR.

Cricut still needs to come out with a fix for this problem. I've been thinking about getting the Cricut Explore, but this is making me very hesitant.

I am having the exact same problem unable to use CCR. Password for CCRBridge not working. I have a cricut expression and a Macbook Pro OS X version 10.9.4. It works fine on a windows OS, but not on the mac. I have invested a great amount of time and money in provo craft products as i am sure a great many others have also. i have enjoyed the products until now and would not wish to have to change products now. I have been trying to resolve this for hours to no avail. Please help.

Any other options out there for the Craft Room to work on Mac 10.9? I just purchased two digital fonts only to find that it wont work on my Mac... You would think that after 9 months Cricut would have this worked out! Angry

So i just bought a lot of digital cartridges and now i can't use my cricut of some problem what your technical people can't solve in more than 2 months? Sorry but we pay a lot of money for every thing and now it takes already more than 2 months??? One or two weeks oke but this is really ridiculous!!

Hi, please let us know when this update will be available and what steps are being taken to find a solution.

As of now, any user with the new Mac software cannot use your product. It seems like the company has been aware of this issue for more than two months, yet offers no reasonable timeline for when its customers can expect to use the product. Very frustrating.

Having the same problem on 2 macs running 10.9.4 operating system. I just bought this cricut and can't use it on either computer!! Luckily I have an old macbook that is still 10.6.8 that I can use in the meantime. Please work on this ASAP!!! Mac OS 10.9 has been out for over a year and this issue has been known of for quite some time...

Very disappointing to get on here to find an answer and then see how long people have been waiting for a fix! I have always loved my cricut but this issue is very discouraging. There is no excuse to not have found some sort of answer for Mac users by now. Please work on this! The creative mind should not have to wait for their projects because of this hiccup!

:( I'm highly disappointed too. I finally have the capability and space to get my cricut up and running with my MAC and I just can't get past that stupid password screen to install the helper tool. EXTREMELY disappointed. :(
