6/3 UPDATE----- YOU WILL BE MAKING 15 ATCS ALL THE SAME USING THE SUMMER THEME OF YOUR CHOICE AND ONE OF THE SKETCHES BELOW.

ATC SUMMER Challenge

I have every confidence in those of you that have been in my challenges before that you will find this one just as much fun!!!!! You have all gone out of your comfort zones and completed the challenges in the past. This will be no different. LOL

There are only 2 requirements for this swap.

1. Your ATC has to be related to summer using one of the following-- BBQ, picnic, pool, beach, 4th of July, fireworks, amusement park, vacation, road trip or camping.

2. You can use any material, tool, or technique that you want but you must follow one of the 4 sketches below to make your ATC.

ATCs are 2 ½” X 3 ½” mini works of art that you decorate as you would a card. PLEASE, PLEASE use at least 2 layers of cardstock to ensure the sturdiness of the ATC. Do your best work and make sure everything is trimmed and glued well.

I will let you all know the amount of ATCs to make once we have all the signups. It should not be more than 15!

Due Date is Saturday July 19th. This will give you 6 weeks to complete your ATC.
This is the last day for me to receive your ATCs, not a last mailing date. I will be strict with this. If life happens and you need to drop out, please let me know as soon as possible. Pm me for my address anytime if you don’t all ready have it.

IMPORTANT --If you haven’t been in any of my swaps before, please read everything carefully before you commit. I will NOT allow flakers, late senders or non-communicators. If you have any questions, fell free to ask before you sign up.
Please subscribe to the thread and check in every week or so. As in all my swaps, I have the right to refuse anyone if I think it will jeopardize the swap. This may seem harsh but part of my duty as hostess is to take care of my swappers and make sure they get what they signed up for. We are all adults and I have no desire or time to babysit.
If I don’t have your email address, please pm that information to me when you signup. I need another way to contact you in case there are problems with the message board

Make sure you sign the backs of your ATCs. Most artists include a title, their MB name, date and number of card if it is part of a series (e.g., 1 of 12).
For this swap, please add your theme and which sketch you used.

Please send all of the ATCs to me as it makes it much easier for me to sort without having to figure out who sent all or kept their own.
Package your ATC’s in a baggie with your MB name. Some people put their ATCs in individual bags. You don’t have to do this unless you want to.

If you want me to re-use your same packaging, just send a return label and the return postage. Stamps or cash, no checks please. I can usually reuse your packaging but I prefer a padded envelope or box to protect the contents.
If you want your ATCs returned in a flat rate box, the cost is $5.25 including DC#

golfingrams,

ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards. They are cards that measure 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" that you decorate according to theme. Here's a link on pintrest to give you some ideas ATC's on Pinterest And on the back you usually number them, write the theme, date they were done etc. since you will be trading them with other people Smile Hope I explained that alright Laugh

Thanks Lori!!!!

You can also go to Google Images and search for Artist Trading cards. You'll see all kinds of them.
There are ATC backs online that you can download and then type in your info before you print them out.
Let me know if you are interested and I can send you a couple links to help you out. One for the backs and one for how to cut the most out of an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of cardstock.

Friend, Catita & golfingram

Welcome.
All I ask is that you read and abide by my rules. If you have a problem or question, don't be afraid to ask. I am pretty easy going but really don't like non communication in my swaps. My Pet PeeveBigGrin

Google Artist Trading Cards if you have never made them before. You will get lots of info.

I also need your email addresses. I can also send you a couple attachmeets. One is how to cut 10 ATCs from 1 piece of cardstock and the other is a sheet of labels to fill out for the backs of your ATCs.

Well I watched a video and learned several new techniques for different things to make and also ATC cards. I'm set, just need to decide on which to do. Thanks all for your help.

One more thing: Do they all have to be on same color card stock or can it be a variety but same sketch. Sorry for all of this but hate hate messing up, especially if going to another person.

As long as your main design is the same, you can use what you have in stock.

I'll play too; I haven't been doing any crafting with all the house projects going on and I miss it. Hopefully by the start of Fall I'll have most everything accomplished and can get back into crafting regularly again.

For the past couple weeks I've been playing tag with my plumber for a clog that he kept thinking he cleared but never did. He said he'd be out again this past Friday but would call first; he didn't and showed up during the only 30 minutes I was away from the house all day Mad I returned to find his card in the door with a note to call him Monday. It had already been 2 weeks that I couldn't use the kitchen sink or washer so I figured 2 more days would be okay. Later that day I went to the basement to grab the detergent to go to the laundromat and found about 3" of yucky water all over it!!! So I call the plumber and leave an aggravated voice mail - he calls back and says he'll be here 1st thing in the morning. So he shows up (omitting a bunch of middle part)turns out it's the main sewer line and because he took the cap off to snake it multiple gallons more (no longer JUST water...) rushes up into the basement Cursing So now I have 4-6" of water and waste in my basement, his snake isn't reaching it so call plumber #2... Plumber #1 leaves.

Plumber #2 arrives an hour or so later, to the tune of $285 to snake it and $100 extra because it's the weekend and he can't get his machine down there because the water's too deep... Call septic guy.

Septic guy comes to pump out basement for $210 for up to 1,000 gallons PLUS $150 extra because it's the weekend...

Plumber #2 asks Septic guy to stay and help him because for some reason he can't do it alone (I'm sure the fact that he was about 200lbs overweight and would've had to go up and down the cellar stairs several times had nothing to do with it..)So 4 hours later they say "uh we need to talk to you.."

Now I'm waiting for Septic guy's boss to call me back to schedule the excavator to come in and replace the shifted or crushed sewer main line...

I hope they know what they are doing. Maybe it is just a HUGE clog. We had that happen but it was only grey water that backed up.

I need am email and addy from Heaven and Friend please.

To all you that are new to my swaps, checkins every week unless I know ahead of time that you will be away.

Sorry but I am a strict hostess. I have been burned too many times in the past and it is not fair to me or to the other participants.

While you are trying something new, why not try a new technique also? Go out of your comfort zone!!!!! Search the YouTube videos for some great ideas. You never know what you can do unless you try.

We are full at 15!!!!!

I will accept your ATCs when ever you finish them. I have a spare room where I keep them until time to sort so they aren't in my way at all.
If you get them finished early, you don't need to spend the extra money to send them priority to get to me on time.Smile

So, get those thinking caps on and come up with something spectacular!!! Let's have some fun here!!!!

I am going to a Stamp & Craft show in Springfield MA on Sunday and I am hoping to get some cool ideas.

I just read the opening of this challenge. It says we will make 125 ATCs. It made me smile just thinking about trying to accomplish that many by the due date. I'm so glad we only have to make 15!
