Bingolady....you are off to a fast start. I liked both the cards and especially the papers you used for the Christmas card. I like how you embossed the wreath. Just think, you have two "Holiday" cards done!

I'm posting a card that I made for a good friend's birthday. I always try to make her a mermaid card. The image is a digital image by Mo Manning and the papers are from a 6x6 stack by Carta Bella called "Beach Boardwalk." The image is on the inside of the card and the embellish- ments are all on the cover.

Thanks for looking....Dee

Bingo lady- Love both your holiday cards!!!
Dee- beautiful card

I found time to do one card!!!! I used sketch#2 and made a masculine card using the AD colors!!!!
I was hoping to do both the colors and the extra credit in this one card but I can't find my screw head brads to make it more masculine!!!!!
I know they are here somewhere.Blushing If I find them I will change out the black bradsLOL

I thought this would be a great card for someone that sails.

Hi ladies...hope you are enjoying your weekend. Work messed with my schedule this weekend so I dont't have to be to work until 5 and my daughter went to her grandma's for the weekend so that means nobody to whine that I am crafting. June is my "male" month...tough.

Sketch 1 is also going to be a male card (son is turning 16) but I need some help. I bought my first digi stamp but now I need some tips on how to color it. I have copic markers that I have never used....prisma pencils that I have never used. What is going to be the best for me to try my hand at first...sure wish I lived by Donna and Dee, lol.

My father's Day cards are complete...I hope. Two totally different cards. Daughter might frown on hers (the cranberry) and probably will say no. I was happy with it.

Sketch #2...son to his dad. I haven't torn paper in years but I was going for the torn/tattered look. Roughed up all my edges. The blue buttons are my "manly" embellishments.

Cartridge: Create A Critter 2.

Sketch #3...daughter to her dad (ad colors). The largest circle is my dark chocolate even though it looks black. My cranberry is not quite but that was all I had...looks red in the picture but it actually a lot darker.

Cartridge: A Child's Year.

Wow...as much as I am going to hate working until 10 tonight (I will get about 5 hours of sleep and work a 12-hour shift tomorrow...I will be dragging), I love the fact that I only have 1 card to go yet. I am going to get my mess cleaned up and get some layouts prepared. I should be doing some class work (online course) but I am enjoying myself too muchBigGrin.

Sketch #4...my scrap paper was still on my table from last week so I just used that. Left the white tag blank for adding the recipient's name.

No cricut...just spellbinders (circle and flourish).

Have to do a 12 hour shift ( my usual) tonight. I am going to try to be more diligent in posting comments about everyone's cards this time.

Boy, you really have a jumpstart on your holiday cards!!Laugh
#4 (A) Cute! Like the border cut and the "BOO!" ribbon, nice bright and bold colors.
#4 (B) Nice wreath, with the berries, like all the Christmasy details and traditional Christmas pattern paper.

DeeScraps
Mermaid Card - WOW!! So pretty, LOVE the Mermaid with her "sequined" outfit and the pearly look to the seashell. The 3-D look of the seaweed and anchor look great, perfect wavey pattern BG paper, too! Did you use a circle of acetate over the circle cutout??. It reminds me of a snow globe with the "shimmery" water. Your special friend will LOVE it!!
TFS!!ThumpUp

#2, Ad Colors and Extra Credit - You found the perfect Ad Colors and paper patterns. The sail boat image looks so nice on the crisp white background. Great card!

LisaW.
Sorry Lisa, I have never worked with Copics or Prisma Pencils. But yes, NanaDonna and Dee would be the perfect ones to help you, they are both awesome at using these techniques.
#2 - Nice shirt and tie, like the small buttons and "manly" paper patterns. Very nice card!
(A)#4 - Ad Colors & Ex. Credit - I love this shilouette cut and have used it a couple of times...for me one of the best Father and son/daughter images. Nice use of the Ad Colors.
(B)#4 - Like the African Safari pattern paper and matching plaid paper. Did you draw the cute "happy b.day"? Very fun card!

sunnieday
You are on a roll lately, good for you!!ThumpUp I think it is awesome you got four cards done using only two carts and CTMH stamps!
#1 - Love the colors in this card, the center panel is very pretty and you did great on the layered flower, like how it matches the flower on the BG paper.
#2 and Ad Colors - Like the diamond cut border and nice frames, Cute Owl, nice work on the coloring of it.
#3 - Like the mix of polka dots and stripes, another very nice flower with the faux stitching!
#4 - Circle cut and BG papers are very nice. This is nice for a male card, they don't go for all that blingy stuff us women love!LOL

Glad I am all caught up with my comments and hope I didn't forget anyone. Am now going to post my two cards I made last night but was too late to post. Hope everyone is having a nice week-end!

Not much time for cards but here is my Sketch #1 & #3.

#3 Again, no Cricut.Blushing Blushing I used 2 scallop punches for the center and added skittles in the corners. I colored the bottoms of the skittles with black marker and glued them on.
Pretty plain as usual. LOL

I learned a few new techniques at the stamp show this weekend so I made a card with what I learned. Probably nothing new to you all but it was new to meBigGrin

Sketch # 1 First of all I turned the sketch so my card was horizontal. I used some metallic silver paper and the Diamond Plate TH Alterations folder. I adhered this to my black card adding some red cardstock strips and black brads.

This is what I did at the show. Leave the tires for last. I colored most of the stamp with a grey marker. I used the ones they had at the show but any watercolors ones will work. Then I took the lightest red and using the side of the marker I made some passes over the stamp in a few places. Then I did the same with a darker red. Lastly, I colored the tires with black. Now you just stamp on glossy card stock and Voila!!!!! We played around with different color combos and they all came out super cool looking.

I did this to make the center of the card Stamp your stamp on glossy cardstock using a light amount of black ink. Use a large background stamp(I used a script one)and stamp off paper a couple times to remove some of the ink. Then stamp right over the black stamped image. I used a light blue because I didn't have a grey.

Then cut the car out with the matching die and pop it on the black one I stamped. I matted it all and adhered it to the card.
If you want info on the show vendor, send me a pmBigGrin They have lots of cool stamps.
One vendor did almost the same thing using Gelatos!!!!

I will try and get back online tonight to comment on some more of your cards!!!!

Hello everyone I spent a couple hours yesterday fighting with my Expression & CCR and trying to get them to work together. so I gave up and went ahead and made the two blankets I was asked to make. One for Emma and one for her brother Mason who will be born on June 18th (she is being induced). I am pretty happy with how they came out. Here is a picture of Mason's blanket, Emma's is the same I just forgot to take a picture of it and they are already mailed out to them.

I even put a tag on it because the babies always like to play with them when they are trying to go to sleep.
