I have a cricut expression and recently did my first iron on. I put my blade setting on 2 hoping it would cut the vinyl and not the clear cover. It ended up cutting through both layers for the most part which made it harder to pull the excess vinyl off and more difficult to get the clear cover off after ironing on. Does anyone have any recommendations that will help with it just cutting through the vinyl layer??? Thanks.

I guess depends on what type of vinyl you are using...when ive done mine i leave the clear coating on, put a cloth over it to iron the image on and then the clear part peels right off. The vinyl that i have purchased came with instructions and that is how it said to use it. Never had a problem.
