Guess what's now available on Cricut.com? You guessed it... The new German Carbide replacement blade.

I went to cricut.com and saw the new blade $12.99 each. Can't wait to see if it works.

I love that the new replacement blade is out but I was wondering if the deep cut blade will eventually have a replacement blade available for Explore. As far as I know, I do not need it right now but I was just curious if there will be replacements made available.

Can't help lovin' that Cricut Explore of mine!! :-)

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if the Explore came with the German Carbide blade and if not, what blade does it come with? Also, are all Cricut blades inter-changeable with the other Cricut machines?

thanks!

Hi,

All of the Explore machines come with the German Carbide Blade. You can interchange the blades if you would like. The other blades do not last as long as the German Carbide but they do work in the Explore.

hello, I have a question I got the Orchid Explore from HSN and I have only had it for a month or a month and a half. I tried cutting regular cardstock and I had the setting for the blade on cardstock and it didn't cut all the way through my paper, so I bumped the setting up to Cardstock + and it cut some of my design all the way through but not all of it, so I have frayed edges on my cut out. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Thanks
Becky

Does any other paper you have used get the frayed edges? Some papers don't work well with Cricut. I don't put my loose paper together by brand but by colour and designs. So most of my papers are fine however I have run across some that just won't cut right no matter what I do.
