Get your Cricuts ready, ladies and gentlemen: Here are your sketches for the next challenge:

1. One sketch should be a CAS (Clean and Simple) card
2. Extra credit for using scraps only on one card
3. Extra (extra?) credit for making a shaped card - anything but a square or rectangle
4. Extra credit for ad colors

Now I need to get to work on the samples. Happy card making, everyone!

WOW Sandra great sketches and I LOVE all the extra credits. It really challenges us and it is always a great ex-credit to use scraps. Plus CAS cards are always so striking.

And I was just thinking that it was time to get challenged to do a shaped card.

Thanks for hosting and hope to get started on them tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a holiday here in Chile, so I'll get to work.
Thanks for the sketches Sandra!
I have a couple of questions:

The ad color will be posted later right?
what do you mean by CAS? monotone? straight lines?

Thanks again.

Sandra...Thanks for hosting this week. Great sketches and extra credits.

Omar....I try to get the colors up pretty close to when the host post the sketches. If they post after I go to bed, then they go up in the morning. Sometimes I will send them to the person who is posting, especially when there is a big time difference as it is with the girls out west.

CAS means "Clean and Simple." It is often a one layer card without all the extras and not a lot of bling.

I did get one sketch done from last week and I'll post it now.

[/img]

The stamp is a "Pure Innocent" one from My Favorite Things. Everything else is from my stash. I used some yellow Stickles, Copic Markers, and also Prisma Pencils.

Thanks, Dee

Thank you Sandra for the inspiring sketches and Dee thank you very much for the add colors to challenge us further. Yay! Now that I have my printer installed, I can print out the sketches and add colors. Now I won't have to keep turning on the computer to look at each card to see what I need to make that sketch.

Dee, you must have been posting your lovely card when I was typing mine. I love the stamps you use on your cards. Also the creative ways you display your cards for taking photos of.

Here's my first card - I used sketch #1 as my CAS card. The feathers are from Artiste and Southwest.

Great colors, Dee. I think that's my next project.

Hi Omar:

CAS just means clean and simple - limited layers, usually one focal point and a lot of "white space" which doesn't necessarily have to be white - just a lot of open space. Hope this helps.

Thanks for Hosting and LOVE the sketches! WOW, like the Extra Credits, so much variety and inspiration to get our Mojo going!
#1 CAS - Wonderful use of the feather cuts from the Artist and Southwest cartridges, like the way you used different colors and textures. The sentiment is beautiful!!

Dee
Thanks for the Ad Color Challenge...as always great colors. This one isn't only great it is so YUMMY as well. Is this a collection from your freezer??!Laugh

Omar
Loving your new avatar, very nice picture. I know you are into photography, is this a selfie?!BigGrin

Dee
Last Week's #4 card - Is so cute!! Love all the colors and the little girl stamp is adorable. Love the tiny sentiment, sometimes the sentiments are so large they seem to overwhelm the rest of the card. I have a set of CTMH "You Are My Happy" acrylic alphabet stamps I have never used. Think I will start stamping some small sentiments with them. Thanks for the inspiration!

BingoLady
Have fun in Vegas and Good Luck to your DGS at the Karate Tournament. Is this a card for your Bingo friend??

Turtlebug, I'm so excited to see them, I hope they both do good. Rene is so excited
cause he gets to take a picture with Chuck Norris.
The Xmas card, believe it or not,it is one of the sketches I had ready for when
I host. It came in handy for this weeks challenge.

Hi there!
I really had to think hard for this one. I usually bling things up a lot Blushing
I used white cardstock, versamark ink and a clear embossing powder to bring up the tiny stars on my new hero arts stamp.
for the sentiment I cut an acetate sheet with the word thanks from the wild card cartridge and applied ink (distress of course)with a blending tool. In case you are wondering, I used a 200 micron thick, transparent acetate sheet and cut it with a deep housing and a regular blade at 300 points twice with my explore (custom setting)
Now I need an english speaking friend close enough to give it to.
Hope you like it

#1 CAS - WOW!! So clean and sharp, the simple sentiment is perfect and the way you interpreted the squiggly lines of the sketch is so perfect. Love all the elements and techniques you always use to create your cards.

Bingo Lady That's a pretty Christmas card. I like your use of the snowflake embossing folder.

Nanna Donna That's a cute shirt. Did you embroider, emboss, iron on or use vinyl? I like your sentiments on the shirt.

Omar What a pretty CAS sketch #1 card. You catch on quick! Your card has such a sophisticated look. Love it.

Hello all nice to see some cards already. I haven't started on mine yet but I do have my papers picked out for the ad colors. Now have to decide which sketch to use.

Dee - what an adorable image and card from last challenge. I love the paper and the colors with the bright green and pink. Great flower

Sandy - WOW I love your sketch #1 with the southwestern look and the feather. Fabulous sentiment also. Sketch #3 so pretty I love the papers reminds me of wallpaper Your extra credit bear is just adorable, how cute him sitting there ready to chow down.

Bingolady - how nice for you to have a card ready to fit into one of the sketches this week. Nice simple Christmas card. Have fun in Vegas and I hope the boys kick a** LOL

Omar - fabulous sketch #1 CAS bot for someone that wasn't sure what CAS you sure caught on fastBigGrin and did a wonderful job. I love the clear embossing and what a great idea to use the cut out as a stencil, I will have to try that sometime

Might be back later off to get my nails doneLOL

Sandra - Thanks! I made the ***shirt*** using Heat Transfer Vinyl aka iron on vinyl. It is pretty fun to play with. I cut out all the images with my Cameo this time but know that I have an Explore and can use SVG files I will be able to cut them using my Explore.

I tried to come up with a saying that incorporated both teams and I think it worksFlapper LOL
