My two choices are Victorian or Christmas. Thanks. If colors are a choice Cream and mauve would be super for the Victorian and gold and red for the Christmas.

Well I finally got it to cut bigger than my itty bitty box. Thanks Kiethann for all your patience and pm's on this. Now to get our partners.

Have a great week-end everyone. I will be digging out the old computer/craft room and turning into a bedroom for rally guests.

WELCOME granny6pack and others - think BethAnn. Hope I didn't forget any new people. You will need the Mini books cartridge and a small composition book. Barb will give us each a partner then you make the items as to your partners theme. You pick which one. Hope this helps.

I joined PC hug club years and years ago. I tried to get on last winter or more a year ago and couldn't and said they weren't taking anyone. So since I stamp/ and do Cricut craft now joined Peachy Keene for monthly stamps. Oh my so cute. Doing cute faces on Christmas balls from one of the cartridges.

Barb - Kiethann - I sized each piece at 3.5 - cut it all out. It's pretty tiny. I sized using top sizing thing. Tonight I typed in 3.5 down below on relative/real size. Relative it came in bigger 6.?? Real came in at 3.?? and 3.5. So what am I doing wrong. Are they supposed to be tiny tiny like this. lol. . Thanks Ladies

Post-op check was excellent. It's so nice to see. No longer blind in my really bad eye. Going shopping tomorrow and going to try golfing on Sunday with mom and brothers. We will see if hip and my balance will let me.

Sorry so gabby. Hugs Patti

Patti - Are you using CCR ? I don't use it , so maybe someone else can advise you better there. I just set my machine and go with it ! Flapper .... I will try it on CCR and see what happens tomorrow.
I wont have time tonight.

My theme choices in no particular order are:

-Birds (I collect birds...pelicans, peacocks, flamingos, roosters, chickens, ducks, cutesy cartoonish birds, beautiful artistic birds and even unloved ugly birds. If you ask my husband, they're all ugly. ha ha)
-Tropical/Beach/Ocean
-Monkeys (my classroom theme)

I love bright, bold colors although the beach/ocean theme might look nice with more muted, toned down colors.

No preferences, really. I'm happy to receive whatever my partner, the artist, makes.

CricutNat.... fellow teacher. What will you be teaching? Funny how quickly the summer just disappears. August seems to be the month where no matter how many days left of idle freedom I have, I end up working on things for the upcoming year. I can't control it. The teacher in me gets anxious and excited and needs to get the to-do list done! Enjoy the rest of your summer. Best of luck in the new school year!

I will be returning to special education - this will be a part time position in which I will be team teaching exclusively with 4th grade! I'm very excited about it, along with a hair overwhelmed - more so trying to find child care for 2 early mornings a week!!!!! And what are you a teacher of, Catitia? :)

Thanks for the well wishes!

CricutNat*

PS - I am working on a sample box - looking fun - might I suggest making sure you choose double sided patternered paper - I'm working to see how well it works with glueing single sided patterned paper back to back - will be able to finish tomorrow!

CricutNat - don't worry you will hear from Evelyn soon...she has a lot happening at her house right now but she checks in here frequently.

I also suggest using double sided card-stock. I also am thinking about some light weight chipboard and/or "cereal box" type of weight cardstock I found at JoAnns. It is pretty wonderful stuff...very sturdy for a box kind of thing...

WHOO HOOO Partner Barb, got your paper today and it's soooo
pretty but not double sided so may have to do something else but I just love love it. I thought about using something heavier for the big box part, wonder if Michaels has that. We don't have a JoAnns.

Back to work - rooms done soon and then I can relax and do crafts when the new rally guys are all settled in. They got here at noon. So have 10 rally guests. Next year is all sold out - the house anyway.
Yay won't have to worry about it.

Okay back to daily bathroom cleaning.

Hugs Patti

Natalie and I have caught up with each other. I wrote her and told her about my niece coming and not to worry I am still here. Things have settled down now that my niece is here and we are so much enjoying her. She loves to craft and that makes it even more fun to have an 18 year old come live with you.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. It's raining here in NC so I am looing forward to a crafting weekend. Woo Hoo!

Take care everyone!

I got out to get some paper for the exploding mini album and the altered comp book - I'm loving it!

On another note, I glued single sided paper back to back and it worked really well - the box will be quite sturdy - beware, however, that in order for the cuts to line up exactly, do one of 2 things - use single sided patterned paper and cut another duplicate in coordinating cardstock, or cut one patterned side up on the mat, and the other patterned side down. I tried flipping the images in CCR on my sample box and I had to do some trimming - it looks great, however! I'll post a few pics of my prototype tomorrow! I'm too lazy to go upstairs to get my phone!
