Hello everyone, time for another set of sketches.
Are we ready for some .....................sketches.
There are no real rules here just jump on in and join the fun. Use the sketches for inspiration and then come back here and share your creations with everyone.
Just have fun!

And here are a couple extra credits to get those creative juices flowing.
Make a "tall & skinny" card.
Extra Credit make one of them a Christmas card. We all know it is time to start thinking about those Christmas cards.
Last but not least put some kind of food or fruit on your card.
Yikes I sure hope I didn't scare you off but inspired you.

This challenge I have 4 sketches for you.
Sketch #1 works well for the "Tall & Skinny"

Sketch #2

Sketch #3

Sketch #4

Have fun can't wait to see what you come up with.

NanaDonna:

Awesome group of sketches and some beautiful cards too. Dee the add colors are exciting to me because I don't think I've used these too often. The food may be a challenge for me, but will think of something.

Thanks to both of your for this week's challenge.

Thanks for Hosting and for the nice sketches."OOOOOOOOOOOH...I see banners!!"Scared ScaredScaredScaredScaredRazzRazz. I love making Tall and Skinny cards, the size reminds me of the goofy, silly, joke ones you see at store card racks. I'll see if I can make a silly card for a guy. Great Ex. Credits, too. I have already started my Christmas cards and this Ex. Credit will work for me.

Thanks for the Ad Colors you had NanaDonna post for this challenge. Most everyone likes the red, white and black color combo and gray is a nice additional color to it. Hope you get to play this challenge???

OK, now where do I begin.... Ad Colors, Christmas, Tall and Skinny, pick papers, Sketch #1, #2, #3 or #4??? So I say to myself..."Ok, self, stop procrastinating and get going!"Laugh

Have a great day, everyone!

I wanted to make a Tall and Skinny "FUNNY" card. I found the sentiment I wanted to go with, but then got sidetracked with the paper choices and details, and the front did not end up cutesy and funnySad, BUT I think the inside did. Instead I ended up with a "Half-unny" card (I just invented this word!)Razz LOL

My #1 Sketch Card and Tall & Skinny Ex. Credit:
Sentiments - Computer-generated
Striped Paper - "Darling Dear" paper pad by Studio Calico
Cut under Circle - ACCENT ESSENTIALS cart
Panels and matting - Cut with paper trimmer
Embossing - "Argyle" folder by Darice
Circle - PLANTIN SCHOOLBOOK cart
Added a metal button from my Button Jar, and triangle metal studs from CTMH.

TFL!!Smile

This is the inside:

Hello all glad to see some cards already.

Bingolady - What a decked out Christmas card, lots of decor on there and of course your favorite Santa with his googlie eyes. What it that on the end of his cap? Is it fuzzy? Glad you are enjoying your Doddlecharms cartridge

Turtlebug - #1 Tall & Skinny ex credit Great color combination and embossing, the button and brads are a great addition and I love the pun on the inside. Humorous cards are always good.

If I can get my Imagine to cooperate I am going to try and work on a card in the ad colors

Worked on cards today. Sketch #1 is very tall and skinny! Used Victoria EF, Elegant Edges for circle and popped the circle. The flower sticker is from some stickers I purchased several years ago at the Dollar Tree. It is also partially popped. Can't really see it in the picture.

#3 Used Whimsy EF, Fiskars corner punch I've had for years, did some inking and the flower is again from stickers from Dollar Tree. I again popped the square and flower is already partially popped.

#4 In ad colors has the large flower popped and used Swiss Dots EF.

Not sure that all the details show up very well in any of my pics.

I have all my ideas down for these cards but haven't started any yet. I want to try and do something different on a couple of the cards so I am still thinking.

I have so many materials that I hardly use so I think I will look thru them.

Patti: The font is CAC Lasko Even Weight. Have no idea if it is one that was already on computer or if I downloaded it from somewhere. As for the Dollar Tree stickers, the stores here in my area don't really carry much in scrapbooking if anything at all. Kind of disappointing. They used to have quite a good selection. I was always buying something I liked.

BingoLady: That was my favorite too. The colors on the pic are a little deceiving. But you can get the idea from it.

I used all scraps on all of my cards, which isn't out of the normal for me. I have sooo many. Now I need to think about the last one. Got a couple of things rolling around in my head. Perhaps something with make the light come on! Smile

Surprised myself and finished all four cards!!!! Thanks nanadonna for the sketches, the ad colors and the challenges!!!!!

Sketch # 1—I made a monochromatic card for this one. The color is supposed to be peach but the picture looks a little off, sorry. I embossed the card and the 2 layers using different folders. I found a picture of a cute flower pot and used flower soft on the flowers and grass. I added a small ribbon and tied on a bow.

Sketch #2—This card I made using the ad colors. Pretty simple but I like it!!!! I layered the birdcage. I think a "love" stamp would have been better but I didn't have anything that smallBlushing

Sketch # 3—This is my extra credit for making a Christmas card. I found some coordinating papers and a poinsettia I had colored with my Copics.

Sketch#4 is my “fruit” card!!! I added some doodling around the edges and the banners. I made up the saying to match the strawberry paper. Kind of corney!!!!
