Hi EVeryone - Please contact your partner at least once per week. Please be active on this thread so we know that you are not flaking out !! You are responsible for sending your partner your address so she can mail your package. THANKS & LETS HAVE FUN !! Woot ThumpUp

This is something new I wanted to try. I am not sure how many G45 fans we have on the MB but I wanted to find out BigGrin -
The swap itself is not complicated.... If you dont have any GRAPHIC 45 Halloween papers, I have plenty to sell at a discount !! Just ask me !! Use code : SWAP10 on checkout from my ETSY store.
The box itself does not have to be a G45 box...any brand will do...may you have one stashed away.
You will create an altered box that is covered with Graphic 45 Halloween themed papers. You may use ANY COLLECTION !! THis year's new one is a Grimms Fairy Tale type of theme, but you can also use the Steampunk collection from last year, or Happy Hauntings, or Halloween in Wonderland, or the Magic of Oz Collection !! Use up some of your old stash !! The box can have a detached lid or be a book box.
Please disclose in your posting which of these collections you already own and are willing to make a box for your partner . You may also tell your partner which collection you would like to receive if she has any of those papers. I will try to pair you with someone who has the collection you like but I cannot guarantee that it will be possible.
THe box must be size a minimum size of 5" x 7" x 3" or a little larger. Maximum size 10x12"... You will fill it with Halloween goodies - the Goodies can be candy or crafting supplies, handmade items,or cute little gifts from the store...that part is up to you.
You will mail it to your partner no later than SATURDAY October 18th

Additional help : For those of you needing G45 papers, I have a variety of them available in my Etsy shop. Use SWAP10 at checkout for 10% off your order. WHile this may not seem like much, my original prices on most all of the items is already lower than Scrapbook.com - so you may do better with me even if they are advertising 20% off...you also have to compare the shipping.
Remember, that you can buy a few individual sheets of G45 paper - you do not have to buy a whole paper pad to do one little project.

On boxes, the 5x7 chipboard or paper mache' boxes are readily available in most craft stores. This is just the minimum size requirement. You do not have to stick to 5x7 if you want to do one a little larger. You can use ANY BOX that you may already have around the house, because you are going to cover it up with papers ! If you have one of those "Book " boxes that already has a design on it and you are tired of looking at it, then use what you have ! You may have a small gift box left over from Christmas.....just as long as it is sturdy...not flimsy. It should have some construction to it. You may also use a wooden box if you like. The idea is that it should not be a HUGE box. A limit of 10x12 as a maximum size.

NEW MEMBERS: If you havent been in any of my swaps in the past year, please send me your name, address, email address and a phone# where I can reach you.

Please do not be a FLAKER ThumbDown If you are on the FLAKER LIST you will not be admitted to my swap.

[h]Here are some ideas for Box Tops.... Also - I figured out that an One Pound Whitman's CHOCOLATES BOX is the perfect size box and they are pretty sturdy. So, you could buy one,and eat all the candy while you decorate the box !!

So by altered you mean a box here at home & re-do with G45 paper?
I have only done one thing before. No boxes from a cartridge - correct?? Hugs

Hi Patti - You purchase a paper-mache' or sturdy cardboard box and then you cover it with G45 papers and embellishments...You do not make the box itself - correct . Love

Here are a few examples of boxes that are quite readily available in many places online or thru Joann's or Michaels or Hobby Lobby. It does not have to be a perfect rectangle. The G45 matchbook here is 8x8".

WOO HOO !! Woot Thanks for joining us Golfingrams ! This is a relatively easy swap to do...very low on stress. We will tell our partners what kind of candies we do or do not like, so that we do not end up with things we cannot eat. You do not have to put a lot of candy in the boxes. Just a few pieces for a treat. The idea is to create an AWESOME container. I will be back with a few pix of some soon...

We need some more members !! Would love to have 10 if we can get them, but if it is only 4 of us, then that is okay too ! Wink

I opened this swap for members on the Cricut Circle as well...and no one has responded except for Scrapalette who just made some snide remarks.

Anyhow, I thought this would be an easy one to do and more people would show interest. Who doesn't LOVE Graphic 45 papers ? I suppose I should not have required that part, but I really want to be able to use some of my G45 stash.

By the way, I have all of the collections, so I can meet anyone's request for paper style.

Members, please be sure to post what papers you have available so I can hopefully put you with a partner who likes what you already own... I would be pleased with any of the collections as a base for mine.

I have my paper but can't remember the name of the collection. I didn't get to use it when I bought it so this swap is perfect.

It is going to be a great swap as it will really challenge me with the Cricut. My machine has been in the retired stockpile and now will be returning to "active duty."

Hope more ladies will take the challenge too! It will be so much fun and no stress. I love it.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Happy Saturday everyone... All I can say is that it is not always the words one says that matter, but the intentions behind those words. No worries about people who have to try to cause problems...We shall ignore them and have a good time right ?

Evelyn my dear I suppose you have a lot of "refreshing" of memories of all the items in your craft stash ! I seem to remember that you purchased the Happy Hauntings from me but it may have been Steampunk Spells.

Some ideas for embellishments might be checking out the Halloween cartridges and see what is on there that you can cut out to glue on your box...there are lots of things available.
I really wanted to give lots of freedom on this for designing...there are some great ideas on Pinterest and also on Graphic 45 web site they have a gallery of pictures to see of projects that are listed by the paper collections. Lots of fun. I will post some of the pix when I get a chance.

Have a great weekend ladies !

Fun fun, having fun - making friends is the name of the game for me.

I have the Hauntings one, will have to check it out as I want to do things for grands anyway and great nieces. I love Halloween and think I will decorate this year. I know I have pumpkin light stakes somewhere and other things. Make a lighted banner for big front window. I always was working and last year laid up. It will be fun.

Have a great weekend ladies. Hugs Patti

Does anyone have any suggestions on boxes to match the size requirement? Cricut Crazy, I like the G45 box with the tags, but I looked it up and it's about 4" x 6". I have another G45 box, but it's 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 2" and wooden one from Michaels that measures 5" x 5" x 2 3/4". Any help is appreciated!BigGrin

Hi Everyone - I have extended the Signup time for this one...no worries ! I hope to get everyone on board by Sunday night though.... WELCOME NEW MEMBERS !!

For those of you needing G45 papers, I have a variety of them available in my Etsy shop.

Maybe a limit of 10x12 as a maximum size.

Hope this helps everyone decide what to do...I try to keep the costs down for us all. BigGrin ThumpUp
