I just purchased my first Cricut Explore and it should arrive on Friday. I'm really excited about using it. When using vinyl, can I use the rolls and let it feed through from the roll or do I need to cut and place on the mat?

You'll need to use a mat.

I am soooo frustrated with trying to cut vinyl on my cricut expression. It pulls the letter off of the vinyl before it even finishes the word. I have tried changing vinyl directions. I have tried different sizes of lettering. I have changed the blade I have tried different pressures. I have lower the speed. I don't know what else to do. I am about to throw this machine out the window and I just purchased it. I had big plans for lots of Christmas gifts but I am afraid I've been let down! I need help and I don't know where to turn?Huh

How's your mat? Is it fairly new and still sticky?

Blade Depth Pressure Speed
Cricut Expression® machine 2 Low Med
Cricut Expression® 2 machine 3 3 Med
Cricut Mini® machine 3 2 Med
Cricut Imagine® machine 3 2 Med
Cricut® or Cricut Create® machine 2 Low Med

What brand of vinyl are you using? I've only had this issue with lesser quality brands of vinyl, like Hobby Lobby store brand. My expression cuts vinyl flawlessly if I stick to Oracle brand and settings 2/2.

The "Relax" sign is actually contact paper. For the others I used Silhouette.
